Balgores are my No. 1 "go to" agent whether it's selling or buying property - keeping me updated every step of the way. They have chased solicitors on my behalf all the way down the chain. This is the only agents that I've dealt with that have paid attention to every aspect of a sale or purchase and kept me updated at all times. This is especially due to the conscientious and untiring efforts of Sarah Oakley. Basically, anyone in this profession should look to Sarah Oakley to see how it should be done!I've also used Balgores for property lettings. Again, I can't fault their service in any way. Definitely one of the best agents that I've ever dealt with.

From our first approach to Balgores Upminster branch, they have been quick, efficient and offered an excellent service. The marketing was very good and we received an acceptable offer for our property within a few weeks. Once that offer was accepted, the Sales Progressor, Donna, was fantastic. She 'walked' alongside us all of the way until completion. Very many thanks to the whole Balgores team but especially to Donna. A real star!

I am absolutely DISGUSTED at a call i had with a Basildon agent this afternoon. I asked to view a property that was 10k under what i said i was looking for with the exact amount of bedrooms i want. I was told my deposit is too low, i wont find anything for what i could afford, and no one wants to sell to someone that isn't a first time buyer. He asked if i had a mortgage in principle - which i do. Asked who with and how much. Baring in mind i have only asked to view a property im not even putting an offer in. Now i dont know if i’m spoken to like this because im a women or the market really is this discriminating against second time buyers. But i am appalled. No viewing needs this much information before seeing a property. I was also asked if my current property was listed at a fair price…what on earth for? Your selling tactics needs reviewing.Will not be seeking any help or advice from these and recommend no one else doing so either.

I was contacting estate agents as I was looking to purchase a property in Basildon. I contacted Balgores but despite saying I had a MIP I was forced to use their Mortgage Advisor. I am yet to have a viewing with Balgores and the service from the mortgage advisor was not the best. She was rude and failed to attend a second telephone appointment which she had scheduled with me. I did not receive a call, text or email cancelling the appointment. I was called by a member of her team to ask how it went. When I advised him of the situation he promised to contact her to find out what had happened. When he called back he explained she had been unwell and would call me the following day. Instead of a call I received an email from her stating that she was unable to work with me. I have since used another mortgage advisor and the experience was very different. I wouldn't recommend them.

Highly recommend Balgores. We purchased our home from them and then sold it with them 7 years later. Kellee on the sales side was there the whole time keeping us up to date and managing the viewings. As soon as we accepted an offer, Louise took over and was a dream. She chased up for us, was on the ball with the solicitors keeping things moving. Total dream team. Highly recommend.

If you are looking to rent a house and the landlord has placed the house with them, it is better to look for another real estate agency because that is what I do. They have nice houses but unfortunately they don't respond to any emails or phone calls I make. I don't know how they rent it but it's not normal.

A very smooth end to end service from Balgores Hornchurch, right from the initial valuation by Deepuk Sidhu, through to numerous viewings arranged by Jaimal Jamat and others and finally the consistent and regular communication kept up with us by Donna Hickey as we moved through the various stages of the sale to completion. Whilst we don't plan another move anytime soon (!) we would certainly recommend Balgores Hornchurch Branch for anybody else considering a move. Thank you to all staff at the branch.

We had been trying to get a mortgage in place throughout lockdown , however found that other company’s were very slow and Un-informative about the process. We were recommended to use Balgores mortgage adviser, and we couldn’t be happier for this decision, she has been very informative and friendly considering we are first time buyers and knew nothing about the market, when anything happened with regards to our mortgage, we were informed immediately and kept in the loop at all times, she was very accommodating to the times we could see her which was something that we had bad experience with other companies.

Unprofessional and illegal practices. I was told i had to obtain a mortgage in principle from their in house mortgage broker before i could view a property even though i already have a mortgage in principle from my broker. The staff i spoke to was condescending and rude.

Terrible experience with Balgores Basildon. Try and avoid if you possibly can! After viewing a probate property (that had been on the market for months), we instantly put in an offer as first time buyers and didn’t really no what to expect. On the phone we were asked if that was our best and final, even though it was our first offer?! I was very confused and made them aware this is my first offer. Straight away they got me in contact with their solicitors for a quote, so I assumed things looked good! 24 hours went by with no news on my offer, after calling and emailing for FIVE days, I eventually was told it was a third party selling the house on behalf of the vendor… Could they not have told us this in the start to keep us in the loop!?!Another 5 days passed with zero updates and lots of chasing (including increasing our offer to asking price) while THEIR solicitor was ringing me twice a day to see if my offer had been accepted! Absolutely ridiculous and so unprofessional. What a way to get my hopes up too!Eventually after 10 days they asked for my AIP and proof of deposit so I thought things were progressing, only to be told we were basically competing with another buyer, but I was reassured that our name had been put forward to the seller as the preferred buyer and that it’s looking good.Two days later, I received a phone call that the house had been up for sale with another agent and somebody else’s offer had already been accepted. I am SO sure that this property had been sold way before we were told this and they had only just put our offer through to the vendor almost 2 weeks later! Do not trust this company. They then kept this property on Rightmove for a MONTH after it was sold, and when I contacted the other agent who ended up selling the property they assured me the sale was progressing very quickly their end. I had been lead down the garden path and I’m sure many others had been too for the month or more this was kept on Rightmove after sale.Constant bombardment from their solicitors, pushy sales tactics from their mortgage brokers, but absolutely zero contact in regards to the property. Shameful. Please be aware with both buying and selling properties with Balgores Basildon.
