Very recently moved in to my new home purchased via Balgores Ongar. It was the end of my 2-year long property search journey. Buying a property in London and its suburbs isn't easy by any means and I've had many bad experiences with various estate agents during the time, so much so that I totally lost my trust on them - for example offer manipulation, using the buyer as a pawn to start a bidding war, lying about property conditions and/or documents, forcing the buyer to tie in buying, and so on. But Balogores Ongar is thankfully different and clearly stands out. From the very beggining Billy Holland (agent) had been totally honest, straight forward, prompt in replying whatever query I had - no question asked. My intial offer was declined, but as promised, Billy came back a week later to give me a second chance - my 2nd offer was accepted in 10 mintues. From then on Billy was always ready to make my life easier throughout the buying process - provided supporting docs promptly to help me with my mortgage application, promptly sorted out a couple of survey findings including negitiating a slightly reduced price, provided building regs/planning docs to satisfy my personal query, always kept me updated on progress from the seller side, kept alternative contact whenever he was away from office, and so on. The whole process with Balgores Ongar was so stressless and smooth that at times I didn't believe it's truely happening. From the bottom of my heart I'm truely grateful to Billy and all her colleagues who helped me during the buying process. Balgores Ongar is truely different - please keep up the great work.

It hasn’t been easy and was extremely stressful, however if it wasn’t for the help provided by you guys and in particular Billy I don’t think we could have got through it and got to where we are now. He was extremely professional, helpful, patient and supportive throughout the entire marketing, sale and conveyancing process. He kept us fully updated regarding the different stages of the legal conveyancing, right through to our exchange and completion. I had just entered the country and was looking for a place to move in as quickly as possible. When I contacted balgores to schedule a viewing, the agent Michael was quite rude, judgemental and pompous and told me how he wanted to check first if I might be able to afford the property in the first place prior to scheduling a viewing or it would just be a waste of time for all of us. Once we viewed the flat, Michael told me how he should be able to get me in as quickly as possible. Once I paid the deposit, he called me and told me that the move in date would not be till the end of the week. It seemed convenient how he mentioned it only after I paid the deposit. I was under considerable duress but I tried to adjust anyways and trusted him. He ignored my calls multiple times and the times he picked up he was rude and unpleasant to speak to and hardly listened to what i had to say and also made judgementsand also snapped back at me. At last , 2 weeks later a day prior to the move in date, he called me to let me know that the move in would be further delayed as there was an issue with a safety certificate and he couldn't even commit to a date when the issue would be resolved. Eventually I had to ask for them to return all the money I had paid close to 3800 quids. Although I received my money back, the discomfort and mental hassle I had during the period was devastating to say the least. Extremely unprofessional behaviors.

Outstanding service from start to finish (nearly)! I first used Balgores (Basildon) back in 2018 when purchasing my property, and they were absolutely fantastic. So, when it came time to sell recently, there was no hesitation, I went straight back to them. Within just a week of listing, my house was sold! Unfortunately, my initial buyer had to pull out due to issues in their own chain (completely out of Balgores’ control), but Joe and his team were incredible. They immediately arranged new viewings, and within six days of going back on the market, I had four or five offers, and accepted one! Over the past few months, I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Georgia Yexley, my sales progressor. She has been nothing short of amazing, professional, patient, and relentless in pushing the sale forward. It’s been a long and sometimes stressful process (again, no fault of Balgores), but Georgia has been there every step of the way, offering advice, reassurance, and a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Even when I’ve been frustrated, she’s handled everything with kindness and understanding. With completion now just days away, I can honestly say the team at Balgores Basildon have been outstanding throughout. I can’t thank them enough, especially Georgia, for their dedication and support. I saw 2 property made up my mind to buy out right. Rang the chadwell heath branch and men answered. I said hi I am interested in 2 properties to buy can I have a details plz. His reply was can i be more polite. I should ask how is he and how was his day? Is this a joke. I dont want friends mate. Go out more. Make friends. I dont want to merry your mum. I have funds and I like to buy. No joke. I belive staff at chadwellheath branch is not I trained in how to accommodate customers and not Intreated in sells. This is my 3rd experience at this branch and I belive staff don't like non whites there approaching for business. I can see their reviews it proves this. If I was a land lord I would not give my property to this clowns. Sycastic and recisum I feel in their tone of voice when spoken. Avoid this branch if you can. You would thank me later. We decided to sell our house, so I arranged for half a dozen estate agents to come round and give me a valuation. After listening to most of their sales pitches and a fair bit of nonsense, I started to worry, am I even going to find the right estate agent? 🤯 Out of desperation, I rang Balgores, not one of the big-name agencies, but I thought I’d give them a try. Femi, the branch manager, turned up. He didn’t give a sales pitch or waffle. The only thing he said was, “I want this property on my books, and I will sell it.” We agreed on a commission rate we were both happy with, and within a week, we had over 30 viewings and an agreed offer. We’ve now officially sold the property, and we also used Balgores’ recommended solicitors, PCS, who were excellent. Femi, Sarah, and the rest of the team were brilliant and supportive throughout the entire process. Thank you. But there’s one person who really stood out. Once Femi and the team had done their job, they passed the case on to someone who saw it through to exchange and completion. I’m in my 60s and I’ve always wanted to meet Wonder Woman, and I finally did. Louise. I had so many conversations with her over the phone. She was on top of everything. When we received emails from the solicitor filled with jargon, Louise would call us and explain everything in plain English. She made a very stressful process feel manageable, and even human. I truly hope that everyone going through a sale or purchase has a Louise to guide them through it. No one asked me to write this review. I’m doing it because it’s well deserved. I also hope the owners and senior managers of Balgores read this, because it’s people like Louise who make your company what it is. I sincerely hope you show your appreciation with a Pay rise or at best a bonus. Sometimes, we don’t realise how valuable someone is… until it’s too late.
