I had an unusual property to sell and I didn't know much about auctions, so I messaged a few local places. From the initial contact I had, and before I'd made any decisions, Sam Harris at Auction House in Sheffield was the most customer-focussed person in terms of being informative, helpful and replying swiftly. From viewing the property and right through the marketing process, Sam and colleagues were excellent, explaining the processes and keeping me updated. I was very happy to trust their recommendations about a solicitor and EPC assessor because they had treated me well and instilled confidence in me from the start. A lot of other organisations could really learn from how Sam and Bethany interact and do business. I got a great price for the property and it's been the least stressful property transaction I've ever had (I've been buying and selling properties since 1992).

We had a small building plot to sell. Oliver Prior (who is a Chartered Surveyor and also has a Masters degree) dealt with the sale of it for us. He gave us professional advice prior to the auction. The reserve price was not quite reached and he successfully negotiated on our behalf after the auction to secure a sale at the best possible price. Oliver worked very hard on our behalf and we would definitely recommend Auction House. We were initially unsure about going to auction as we were not familiar with it as a means of selling property. Our fears were completely allayed by Oliver and the team who were excellent throughout, they far exceeded our expectations.

After the disappointment and headache of my mother in laws house sale collapsing at the last hurdle, it was suggest that auction maybe the route and the recommendation to go with yourselves has paid us very kindly ! I can not fault the customer service, attention to detail and advice from Gary and the team. For someone who has never sold through auction it seemed a bit daunting but we had nothing to fear. The guidance and walking us through the process was second to none. Gary went above and beyond to facilitate our auction lot as we live nearly 3 hours away. I can not fault the service we have received at all. Thank you for everyone’s efforts !!!

Their Auctioneer was very professional and did everything he could to get the best price. He knew just what he was doing throughout and we cannot give him a higher rating as there is not one to give. Absolutely exceptional! The overall service was excellent. Mark is seriously a credit to auction house. He is very knowledgable, supportive and wants to get the best results for you. We even ended up getting pre auction sale with a great price. The process of auction is so much straight forward than the usual estate agent route. We had no problems with communication and Mark always kept me informed. I can’t thank him and your team enough. I would recommend them to anyone.

What an exceptional experience with the perfect result! I was first introduced to Dale Cox at Auction House Cheshire by our estate agent after the property we were trying to sell had multiple failed transactions. Dale was extremely personable and was very thorough in his explanation of the auction process and his communication was excellent throughout. We were very excited for the property to go into the auction but Dale did such a brilliant job building interest that we accepted one of the numerous offers we received pre-auction. Quit with these clickbait guide prices !SDL sold 7 Spenser Close for £88,000 a matter of weeks ago, can you tell me how on earth you have set a guide price of £34,000 ? They laughed and were unsurprised when I asked if the property sale went through abc why it is now listed so much cheaper !Again, SDL sold Salisbury House a few weeks ago for £29k, please explain why you have a guide price of £10k ?These prompted me to check out your other midlands properties and they all seem to have been purchased from other auction companies very recently and you have placed ridiculous prices on them !!234 Russell Road was sold by I am sold for £160k, your guide price is £60k.. how ?69 Lawnswood Avenue was sold by i am sold for £140k, your guide price is £40k.. how ?2 Lawley Street was sold by I am sold for £150k, your guide price is £50k.. how ?I am sure there are countless other examples ! What on earth are you trying to do here ?Are you trying to say that your seller is prepared to take losses of over £100,000 per property ! Don’t be so ridiculous ! I am reliably informed that your seller used to use midlands auction firms but local buyers “are on to him”, so he has decided to rip off London buyers instead !The auction industry needs to be properly regulated.. far too many cowboy underhand auction houses letting unscrupulous sellers run amok ! Auction used to be a good place to buy.. those days are over.Why are you trying to dupe innocent and unaware buyers ? Do you know the financial and mental damage you can cause people ? Do you even care ? I would hazard a guess as to no ! You clearly place earning a few extra £ over having a moral compass !Shame on you !

Auction House London can absolutely confirm that the appropriate terms and conditions have been signed by the client, and that a genuine reserve price within the guide has also been confirmed. We are not able to dictate to vendor clients the price to which they should be marketing properties, only to advise, and this is exactly what we have done in this case. It is at the client’s insistence that the property is being marketed at the level it is, albeit against our best advice. We believe the client has particular circumstances private to himself which has led to him taking this decision and issuing instructions to us accordingly.
