Scam. They lure you in with 'national in person auctions and huge success stories with quick sales. They say they will put your property on the auction but dont. Then when you dont get on the auction and want to stop the process they hit you with a 'withdrawl fee' for marketing costs plus other fees. I dealt with Mat and Eilidh. I even tried to speak to the Director but was told they 'are too busy for phone calls'... all they did was put the flat on Rightmove and try sell it with exorbitant agent fees on the market not at an Auction... why? Because they dont want to ruin their stats that they wax lyrical about to lure you in on the first place... What waste of time, energy & money.

Second time bidding and first time buying. It’s a simple process and there’s no chance of not getting a bid in or missing a chance to bid. It was tad overwhelming, no fault of Auction house though. When you’re spending well over 6 figures on the fall of a hammer…..!! I’m sure like all things the more you do it the easier you feel.

Unprofessional. Unethical. Yes they sold my house - pre auction - well it is at exchange supposedly - but every step of the way I was left in the dark. Decisions were made and actions taken - I was then contacted (a brief text usually) to ask if what was done was ok - after the event. They sold my house to a party that had messed me about for months and months two times before, and went out of their way to hide the buyer details. There was another buyer I could have sold to. They failed to send any official documentation at ‘exchange’ and didn’t even contact my solicitor to advise of sale. Two days later I contacted my solicitor - who was complete unaware the house had sold. It remains to be seen what happens next but if I had my time again I wouldn’t go near this company.

The entire engagement with Auction House UK was seamless and fuss free. From photo taking, to posting the auction property online, to the solicitor engagement and the eventual sale. Everything was completed in less than 2 weeks. More could have been done on advising the seller to set the guide price though. This resulted in the property being sold at a lower than expected price. Nevertheless, am glad that it is a load off my shoulders.
