Using a local estate agent may have been more advantageous for us. Alex was our sales negotiator and we had mixed communication i.e. he was easily contactable but reduced our house price without informing us first. We received several offers over the 16 weeks our house was on the market and Alex communicated with us throughout and got the best possible sale price given the current housing market. When Alex was on holiday, someone at Springbok stepped in to cover but they were difficult to contact and had a lot of buyers/sellers to speak to so the service was poor. We went with Springbok for a fast sale and their use of investor buyers made us feel that a fast sale would be achieved. A fast sale was not achieved. Unfortunately, we had signed a fixed 16 week contract with Springbok so we were unable to market our property with a local estate agent, without incurring a fee. Overall, once Springbok’s fees are taken into account a local estate agent will have probably worked out cheaper and delivered a quicker sale.

I wish I never went with this company

I wish I never went with this company, worse thing I could of done.When I first enquired about selling my house I was told they could sell it with no solicitor fees to me and they dealt with cash buyers and people who could buy quickly. That was all a complete lie. They waited until I got an offer then said I was to pay £5,000 of the asking price to them for finding me a buyer although it was on Rightmove. I had a tenant in the property which Springbok & buyer knew about . I was waiting for a bailiff date to remove tenant, which the tenant wanted as he was after a council flat. While I was waiting for the tenant to leave, Springbok never contacted me. When the tenant moved out I let Springbok know. That’s when it came to light the buyer hadn’t received a mortgage offer after making the offer which I was surprised at as the offer on the house had been made for several months. Then when I raised my concerns that’s when things went bad. Springbok took no responsibility for not telling me or chasing up the mortgage offer. Then they tried to say that the offer hadn’t been received as the buyer was waiting for the property to be empty. When I made it clear I wasn’t happy about this situation, the buyer apparently wanted to drop the price by another £5,000 as he had given up he’s rented property and had to pay for storage costs and fly he’s family to his home country as it stressing his wife out so wanted £5,000 off the house as it was my fault as he had to wait until my property was empty.Please don’t touch this company and go through the what I have been through.

Fantastic service, they do what they say they will do

Through necessity and a relocation to another country I was looking to sell my house in the quickest way possible, I had some online house buyers come around the house and they made me an initial offer that was not far off what I would have got from the open market which I was over the moon with, after weeks of being messed around they either changed the offer dramatically or they pulled out, Springbok was my last chance and I thought I'd see what they could do despite feeling reluctant after previous experiences.I wish I had just chose springbok from day 1! They were so helpful, friendly and most importantly transparent and honest, I was explained in excellent detail by Sam Whitehead ( Shame he's a Blackburn fan ) the different routes in which they could help me, we discussed in detail the pro's and the cons, and at no time was I pressured or mislead, once I had agreed what we would do. Nathan was fantastic and responsive, and then Becci Simmons was extremely helpful and efficient and professional.Yes I got a lower price than I would have liked, but that's my choice and if it wasn't for springbok I'd still have the weight of the house and bills around my neck.Thank you Springbok, You did what you said you were going to do, and you did it with care, professionalism and with a human touch.

I approched Springbok when I found myself in a difficult position, geographically displaced from a property I wanted to sell quickly. I paid £5,396 to an estate agency in July 2025 as a reservation deposit for a property in Manchester. I was told in writing that the deposit would be refunded if the seller withdrew or if there was a good reason not to proceed. After payment, I was informed that the sellers were in dispute and not communicating, which caused over eight weeks of delays with no solicitor or paperwork in place. Despite this, I was told the deposit would not be refunded due to an “exclusivity agreement” that I never received or signed. Only after sending a formal legal letter was £5,000 refunded, which should have been returned immediately based on their own written terms.

I dealt with Lewis Buddle and Karen White for the sale of my property. Did get a sale which fell through and from there on it was a frustrating experience. Amongst other things, I rarely got feedback on viewings or even if they actually took place, had to ask for a sales board, the price was put down without my knowledge or permission.

Experience has been good so far

Experience has been good so far, we are still yet to complete the purchase of the property. Isabel was really friendly and helpful, there were a couple of issues that she was able to handle really well. Sometimes a little bit hard to get hold of but imagine quite busy, one issue we did have although we have not followed up since is that we did request another viewing of property to take the children to view the house and the person we spoke to (not Isabel) never got back to us.

Know what your getting

We spoke with Paul Sadio initially, most stuff was explain well,we were then pasted on to marwad I think,she was very efficient and easy to contact,from there,we were passed on to isabel as our sales negotiator, a couple of times we found her hard to get hold of but when we did finally make contact,she was responsive to our wishes.We did sell our house much cheaper then the general valuation.Best Value was £230,000 but in todays market may or may not have sold it for that.We finally sold it For £212.500 of which springbok took £7,500.We came out with cash of £205,000.We did how ever have 6 viewings most on the same day and sold to one of them after around 3 weeks.We needed a quick sale to move abroad,and didn't want months of cleaning up and tidying everywhere,each time we had a viewing.If you can afford to take that hit ,then go for it.Just get it made clear, how much is the minimum and maximum you will have to pay.The cost of solicitors etc are all paid for epc etc in your costs.Would I do it again if I was not in a hurry.....probably not.If I wanted the cash and a fast sale again....yes I would.Overall they do what they say,however we got the impression they had investors waiting to buy but they were not there and the one that was,did offer way to low.We asked for a board after 2 weeks ,as no viewings .It went up the next day,no problem.2days later we had 6 local viewing 3 offers,1 accepted.Just waiting for a mortgage surveyor this week then should have a completion date.We are hoping for before Christmas!

Success

We chose springbok as we needed to sell mums house quickly after she went into care. Sadly mum passed away soon after, but springbok held the work that had already been done, untill we had probate, which allowed us to carry on with the sale process . The sale was protracted and somewhat fraught (through through no fault of springbok) but Becci and the team did their best to keep us informed and keep the process moving. Final completion was a huge epic of last minute questions and phone calls but Becci and our solicitor (Mr Tyrer) kept all the plates spinning and finally got the house legally sold and handed over. We will suggest springbok to anyone looking to sell a house and we will keep them in mind when we need to sell property in the future.

James was my sales negotiator. He was very responsive but very pushy as well. I guess it's their job but I would have appreciated more humanity. I had him on the phone last Friday and when I sent an email later I got an automatic reply saying he was off and would be back on Tuesday. It would have been nice to communicate about it. Someone else took over though. I'll see how it goes from now on.

After the viewing, Ernest from springbok gave me a call and we got the ball rolling with an offer. However, my solicitors were a nightmare and caused delays. Sold my property in TS13 via Springbok in unusual circumstances! My advisor Orla was a lovely lady to speak with but, sadly I was lied to when, she confirmed that Springbok would be covering my solicitors fees. They did not, leaving me out of pocket and themselves more than £8000 pounds richer. To make things even worse they have not had the decency to respond to my email complaints. Perhaps this review may make them sit up and notice!
