We had a great experience with Kristina Ignatovica. She was professional, friendly, and showed us multiple flats that suited our needs. She also helped us complete the paperwork quickly so we could move in on time. Highly recommend her!

Never going to deal with this agency ever again. From my experience and from the awful reviews this agency has I would recommend to avoid. I have dealt with Tracy who was rude to me and absolutely not supportive!! They booked me for a viewing of a flat at 4:40 and I called them to report I’ll be 10 minutes late and they said it’s OK!!. When I turned up on that time Tracy refused to see me and canceled my viewing. Absolutely unprofessional behavior from this agency. Even when I wanted to complain they were like yes go complain in a provocative manner. Never gonna deal with them again!!! Update 31/08/2021, I have sent my complaint over a month ago to the company and no one has even bothered to reply. I believe this is another red flag that the bosses of this company are not much different than their employees!NegativeProfessionalism

I recently rented a property with Martin and Co and everything went smoothly. Kristina made sure that everything was done well and in a timely manner.

I really wish we’d read the reviews. Rebecca was dishonest about certain things in the property, things that were a make or break for us. Forgetting to mention a robbery that had happened upstairs the week before after I had specifically asked about the safety of the area. We have waited 4 weeks for an email update/back from Rebecca & Courtney about the things we requested an answer on in regards to this and other things in the home. I absolutely suggest if you’re looking at a property with Martin & Co, or you’re a landlord, that you just go somewhere honest & professional to save yourself mental stress. We have 11 months left on our tenancy I can’t think of anything worse than having to call them or email them in regards to anything at all. ** We’re fortunate that the apartment is so lovely & our landlord is great, his contractors got straight on issues within the property once we contacted him directly. **

I viewed a property , 9 Collison street, Notthingham NG7 5AS at 13.20 on 3rd February 2025. Mr Luke wilson from your Notthingham office showed me the property. The asking price was £175000, I made an offer of £175000 04/02/2025. I got email from him saying that another offer was made on that property and I could make my final offer until 4 pm next day. I called him 2 days later if property available and he said it was available and I could make an offer. I made an offer of £179000. He replied me on 7/02/2025 and told me that Unfortunately, the vendor has now accepted another offer on the property. The property is still advertised and I asked a friend of mine to call the Nottingham branch ask to arrange a viewing. He was told it was available for viewing. I called the office 5 minutes after his call and explained the situation and the property is still advertised for sale. I was told an offer was accepted for the property and property not available any more. The person on the phone was not friendly either. what an unprofessional company it is. I wanted to contact their head office but I gave up after seeing bad comments on the Trustpilot.

We dealt with Rebecca exclusively who has been fantastic during the entire process, from start to finish. During the viewing she arrived promptly and was polite and friendly, giving us plenty of time to explore the flat without applying any pressure at all. All email exchanges have been prompt, with any questions, no matter how small, being answered fully. After moving in, Rebecca has been brilliant - answering further questions and even coming out to resolve one of our issues! Thank you!PositiveProfessionalism

Tracy has been very welcoming from the very beginning of me searching for flats to finding the right place for me. I had a few requirements in terms of my contract etc and she has dealt with it very quickly and in a professional manner. Her response time has also been excellent and I usually got a response within either the same hour or the same day!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Managed a flat I lived in for around 3 years. Had a couple different staff members managing our tenancy over that time, all good, but special mention to Courtney who has always been very helpful, very quick replies to emails and any issues were resolved with minimum effort on our end. Cannot speak highly enough as she couldn’t have been any more helpful. Tracy was also great with helping during transition of who was managing our tenancy, very professional. Thanks!

Keep away! very incompetent and extremely unreliable. All they were interested was collecting money from the landlord with unjustified repeated repairs. Very poor management costing me unnecessary expenses. Unfortunately I was with them for few years!

I have recently been dealing with Tracy Orton in respect of a tenancy renewal and she has been an absolute dream to work with! I had some maintenance issues I needed sorting quickly and she went above and beyond to ensure that the property was ready for the tenants to move in. Tracy was extremely professional and helpful and kept me up to date with the progress and it was only her second week in the business! If you want a 5 star service give Tracy a call!!

my experience included both good and bad experience. Overall, as a tenant, it was not as bad as other people said. Ill start with the bad things. Professionlism can ber improved. It was going fine until the end of my contract approaches. I understand that the viewing process has to take place to obtain new tenants but when the company calls to try to set up the viewing 4 days a week instead of organising it to be all in 1 day....that shows something I guess. There's this one time that they came for a viewing claming that they already arranged it with me but I had prove they didnt( no record of phone calls and email)-again lack of professionalism. Its kinda true that they will upset you with the loss of deposit. I was charge over 80 pounds for a broken key fob for the garage in which I never got to use( cuz I dont have a car) that meant it was given to me broken in the first place ( I got no prove for this but its my customer experience)- I was charged over 300 pounds after i move out, so expect something like this to happen if you decide to rent of here. Courtney was nice and kind to me while I needed help. The last month of my contract was a stressful time. However throughout the entire rental the repair service was excellent.

Not that bad during the stay but be prepared to fight for your deposit at the end, because they 100% will

This was the worst experience I had in years. As the title says it was not that bad during the stay, but they tried very hard to take my deposit with unfair claims, one of which included around £50 for a lawn chair that I already replaced (for much cheaper) among others. Communication was pretty lacking, they only do their jobs when it's about collecting money. I had an incident where they called me to ask if it would be fine if a contractor entered the property whilst I was away for the holidays, to which I initially agreed but 30 minutes later after thinking on it I sent them an email that I no longer agree. I never received a reply to that email, and I later found out that they indeed had entered my property whilst I was gone. It was for a repair, but they could have come at literally any other time than that, but apparently "the window was uncommon and contractors very busy and hard to reach".

We have recently found ourselves looking for a property to rent due to a matrimonial home sale. We saw a beautiful new home advertised with Martin & Co and I called for a viewing. We agreed to meet Matthew Cassidy at the 3 bed semi which when we arrived to view was ironically is exactly the same layout as the house we have just sold. I said it was exactly the same and he offered us to view another house a few doors down which was a 4 bed, bigger and sooooooo much nicer. We opted for this one and went through the process of completing the application form etc and then completing and attaching all of the relevant ID and supporting document which was all done online, however, we came across a stumbling block which due to my husband recently being self employed meant we would have struggled to continue with the process. Matthew made contact with the landlord explained our circumstances and eventually agreed terms which was satisfactory to both the landlord and ourselves and i am very happy to say that the family, my husband and I will be moving in at the end of May. Matthew ensured he kept in contact with me throughout the process and pulled out all of the stops as he knew how much we wanted this house. A massive thank you to Matthew at Martin & Co

Unprofessional scheduling/record keeping I had a viewing scheduled with them (made over a phone call with a member of the team) for which I waited for over 15 minutes as I understand people can run a bit late sometimes. When no one turned up, I rang the team. I was very unpleasantly surprised to find out that there was no record of the viewing on their system. The person I spoke to initially said there was no record of me in the system, then was apparently able to find some record in his system - not sure what changed there as my details certainly hadn't. When rechecking the original advert on rightmove, it looks as though the property is now let. As this is quite understandable, I would have expected Martin & Co to let me know and cancel the viewing, as other agents have done - yet nothing until I called them. If you have let a property and cancelled any further viewings, please do any potential tenants the courtesy of letting them know so they do not make plans around the viewing and actually attend it as I did. I cannot comment on the sales side but please do not allow the team on the lettings side to waste your time as they did mine. The only positive of my experience is that the gentleman/men I spoke to both times were polite on the phone.

Martin and Co Nottingham are the worst estate agents we've dealt with. Their professionalism was lacking throughout our tenancy, with consistently rude and unprofessional communication. Tracy, in particular, was exceptionally rude. They scheduled a viewing for our flat four months before our move-out date without our consent, even threatening to enter the property regardless. Their disrespect for our rights and privacy was alarming. When it came to reclaiming our deposit, their unprofessional behaviour continued. Staff hinted that challenging their decision would result in lengthy delays. Furthermore, they claimed the property was handed to us in a clean condition, yet we had to clean a mouldy washing machine twice for it to be usable.

Worst agency I used in the UK, lived nearly 5 years on a rented property with Martin and Co, had many problems but the worse was at the end of the tenancy when they (and the landlord) tried to keep almost all my deposit using a super unfair claim, I recovered most of it after starting a dispute which took a lot of my time, so if you want to avoid stress and wasting your time, don’t use this agency. I moved somewhere else and still avoid Martin and Co as a result of this terrible experience. Fortunately I recently had a great experience with other agency, during all the tenancy period they were professional and great which made me have some hope that good professionals exits in this field. I felt I should leave this review to help other people as now I know good agencies do exist!
