GoogleMichael Siviter guided us from having a bad credit score and no deposit, to getting a 4 bed house in the space of 2 years. He acted both as a mortgage broker and financial adviser whose guidance was paramount to us achieving our dream of buying our dream house. Even through periods of uncertainty, Michael was always willing put himself onthe front line and
found resolutions for us. He was always available and always responded in a timely fashion. We are eternatlly grateful to Michael. Highly recommended.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleI called William H. Brown on a Wednesday asking if they'd make a special case for me concerning renting a property. I needed to move in by the Friday of the same week (that's two days) and the kind folks of the Norwich Bank plain William H. Brown made that happen. By that Friday I was safely moved into my new home without a single hiccup. The utmost gratitude and thanks go to Hab who handled the whole thing swiftly and surely (special mention to Luke who also happily and professionally took my phone calls). To anyone considering renting/buying property through William H. Brown please take this glowing review as an indication of the sheer quality of their service and to the higher ups at William H. Brown, dear god give Hab a pay rise or a promotion.
Thanks for reading and again, thank you to William H. Brown for helping me out when I needed it most :)

GoogleI worked with Lewis Brown estate agents when I was selling my fathers home. I was out of the country during the whole process, which meant that I needed good communication skills and timely updating. Lewis Brown was GREAT! They handled the process from start to finish and help coordinate all of my needs and they anticipated my needs, which led to a good finish!
very happy with Lewis Brown Estate agents - every time I called the office I was put through to the estate agent within 1 minute it was a great experience.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleI had a great experience with William H Brown in Norwich both Rory and Tom were incredibly supportive and knowledgable throughout the whole process. They found me an ideal tenant very fast with the process being taken care of by Rory. Furthermore Rory's expertise was really shown when I had further conversations with him about potential future properties as he advised me on the best areas and the expected prices I could get. I look forward to working with both Tom and Rory again in the future they are very valuable assets to the William H Brown Team.

GoogleSo far my experience with William H Brown has been top tier thanks to Brian Eglan.
Due to being in isolation, I was unable to view a property however Brian was kind enough to arrange a time outside of working hours to show the property to a friend. Within an hour of the viewing, Brian had taken my application and received agreement from the Landlord.
Unfortunately there has been a couple of issues with my application but Brian has been incredibly helpful in resolving them and giving me piece of mind.

GoogleExcellent service from the staff in the office especially Russell, communication was clear and timely allowing a very swift sale of our house (3 hours from initial listing to first offer). The speed of the process allowed the purchase of our new house which was also handled very well by the team.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleMy adviser was Victoria Payne, there was an initial cost which I was concerned about but at the end of the process I felt very grateful that I had invested in a 'safe pair of hands' as they say. Victoria's communication was clear and engaged, she was proactive in moving my mortgage forward and I feel confident she got me a good deal. With so much stress around the process moving, it has really felt worth it to use this service. Thank you!

TrustpilotI do not have words for this level of unprofessionalism and incomptence
Just poor on every level. Communciation has been abysmal from the start. I feel I have been lied to on several occasions and it is clear most members of staff don't give a damn. Avoid I have the great displeasure having to deal with these people over the last fortnight regarding a property I want to rent. There have been issues right off the bat, including an agent called George not turning up to a viewing because he forgot and it taking four days and six phonecalls for me to be told that no-one in the office I was calling was going to call me back and I needed to call elsewhere. No apologies offered at all. It got worse when I put in an offer on a property though. When I put in my offer I was asked some questions and these identified I would need someone to guarantee my lease. That's fine, I'd anticipated that and my parents were willing to do this for me. I dealt with an agent called Sam who called them before putting in my offer to ensure they would meet the criteria for a guarantor. At this point, or at any point during the process, Sam never gave any indication that they did not. This only came to light approximately a week before I was due to move in (my parents are semi retired and generate a portion of their income through investment property and the stock market. This was apparently unacceptable for a guarantor. Which would have been fine, if Sam had told them that from the start). We found a solution, where my parents would pay my first six months rent and I'd then rent from the landlord. I had to chase (approximately four phone calls) to get this answer from him and even then, I had send him back to renegotiate as he had not done this properly (he attempted to agree a six month lease when both me and the landlady wanted something longer). When putting in my offer, I had agreed to go into a zero deposit scheme and paid Β£250 in order to do this. The issue with the gaurantee also took my out of this scheme, although this was never communicated to me at all. If I had known, then I would have reconsidered my position. Because Sam did not mention the problem when it arose, I was not afforded this opportunity. The only warning I had that extra money was needed, came to light when the invoice arrived and they had stuck an additional Β£1200 onto the fees. The only possible inkling we had about this was a phone call from Sam about 20 minutes before the invoice was sent, which lasted for all of 30 seconds and briefly mentioned a deposit. Something that I thought had already been paid and had no reason to suspect otherwise. I want to be clear here, the fact I failed the checks is not the problem (I'm a recent university graduate moving from part time to full time work and separating from my partner. I'm not naive to the fact I do not look good on paper). The lack of communication and the lack of care from Sam and his director, Rachel is. They prevented me from making a decision with the full facts. I have been left feeling utterly lied to and like I have no choice but to find an additional insane amount of money or leave me and my children homeless. Salt was further rubbed into the wound as when I called Rachel to discuss this, she sadly decided to double down on the lie that Sam had discussed this deposit with me and implied I was making it up. I have emails to confirm this deposit was never mentioned. No apologies were forthcoming, just a shoulder shrug and an offer to refund my holding deposit as well as a sly comment that it's a landlord's market right now, which is just further confirmation of how little they value potential tenants. No property is worth having to deal with these people.

GoogleThe W H Brown team was very helpful in finding the rental properties. Especially Edward and Fabio helped me a lot in advising and showing me the properties within our requirements with lots of patience. Coming from london and finding the properties in norwich was more hectic for me but these guys helped and made it easier. Thanks a lot for the help Edward and Fabio.

GoogleJoin a tenant's union and read up on tenant's rights before renting from this hopeless company. Norwich branch dreadful. Absolutely incompetent company, palmed our renting off to the hopeless 'Sequence' sub-company. Took two months to return the non-disputed portion of our deposit due to their shocking incompetence. Would give zero stars if I could, it takes a lot to bring the good name of estate agents into disrepute, but they managed it.

GoogleGiles Wilkinson at William H Brown has been fantastic in getting my mortgage sorted as a first time buyer. TrustpilotWilliam H Brown or Sequence, both the same... crap!
This is basically the same review as my Sequence Review, but since they're essentially the same company, why re-invent the wheel?I honestly like to see the best in people or companies, but William H Brown is one of the worst. As a tenant, dealing with them is a nightmare. Everything from arranging repairs, to dealing with contracts.Everything is outsourced; they're nothing but secretaries throughout their entire company.Living in Yorkshire, why do I need to ring someone in Liverpool to tell them a tap is loose, and then wait weeks for a response? And if that 1 person is off work, no one else can pick up that task? Why do I have to send multiple emails and make several telephone calls to get answers, and then be badgered by them for "not doing something", or anyone external to their system?Or the fact that they don't know, nor have access to, their own systems in order to answer any of my questions.Literal blame shifting to anyone but them. And I've only dealt with them for 6 months.

GoogleMy partner and I have called many times to see properties, all of the time left waiting so long to get transferred and at the end they will always say the property is new to the website and they need to wait for more information and will call us back after they get information for viewings from the landlord. After a few hours the property says βfull for bookingβ. Never call us back and book viewings for other people!
Ignorant people.

GoogleAbsolutely shambolic letting agent. Especially for student lets where they seem to try and take advantage of students by not carrying out their own checks before handing over a property. So conviently combined with an inept property management company in Sequence homes who will pass blame to each other whenever there's a problem that needs fixing. A real shame that they have a lot of student lets so are left with no choice but to use their subpar service. I would give 0 stars if I could. Students be aware and be ready to be taken advantage of.

GoogleHorrendous! Greeted by an extremely unhelpful and unapologetic member of the sales team. Were told by the letting agent that we were able to pick up a set of keys to move into a rental property and we could pick these keys up any time that the branch was open. On arriving at the agent, a member of the sales team said he was unable to access their database, there is nobody from the lettings team in and thatβs the end of it. We had travelled a fair distance with all our belongings. We were then told the we were given the wrong information as we could not be given the keys without a member of the lettings team being present. Is it that difficult William H Brown to be clear about how a move in can happen and is also that difficult for your staff to at least make some attempt to resolve the situation as opposed to saying, βIβm on the sales team so I canβt helpβ. Estate agents have a poor reputation at the best of times and William H Brown are adding fuel to the fire. If possible I would avoid this agency at all costs.

GoogleDid not have a pleasant experience with William H Brown of Norwich. Viewed a property to rent and was shown round - no problem.
First issue arose when agent at the end mentioned they would be more likely to accept our application if we were willing to pay 3-6 months rent in advance on top of our deposit?? No other estate agent asked this of us.
We still submitted an application to rent the property and we didnβt hear back from them for over 6 weeks. Pretty shoddy.

GoogleMy partner has been house hunting for the best part of 5/6 months while I was at work. She was at the point of giving up, especially doing this while 5 months pregnant. From the moment Fabio called her, her stress was reduced, he was super friendly, helpful and communicative. He really just made the whole process smooth especially with how crazy the housing market has been. He went above and beyond with helping us secure a place, even staying late to finish the process and made sure we got our keys. Despite being super busy throughout the day. He's a great addition to William H Brown and we hope to have the pleasure of him being our contact if we ever have to look for somewhere again.

TrustpilotAn incredibly poor service
Quite possibly one of the worst estate agents we have dealt with.We were contacted by one of the agents from the Welwyn Branch, who repeatedly told us that unless we had our house valued, we would not be taken seriously by Vendors. After being called on the third occasion by the agent, we decided to get a valuation and I contacted him by return, to let him know that we had. Even though the valuation had been the day before, the agent told me that it would be useful if he also valued my house. This would have been the fourth valuation in the space of 6 months. We were then called by someone from their call-centre and although, seemingly impossible, the service was even worse. All that the lady we spoke to wanted to do, was sell us a product. No real interest in us, or what we were looking for in the housing market. I finally gave in and asked how much the service would cost - she had no idea. When I questioned how she could try to sell me a product, where she did not know the cost, she became flustered and told me that her she would liaise with her "boss". The first time, he apparently told her that he would provide me with info, as he was in my area. When I asked when, she told me he was not, but he could be. When questioned further, he was not going to be in our area. So, I asked her to get him to email me - he was not able to. I then asked her to get him to call me and I was told he would. One week later, she called me back, not remembering me at all. I then got the whole sales pitch again. Enough was enough. I asked to make a formal complaint and was told her "boss" would call me, as he took these things seriously. Still waiting. You are treated as a number and not a person. I am not really sure how they can still be in business.
