GoogleAfter living abroad for many years, my family and I decided to move to Norwich. Since we were unfamiliar with the area, we looked for a real estate agency. After researching several local agencies, we chose Pimms and Co. They were exceptional, with Jack in sales and Sara in property management handling everything smoothly. We were kept informed every step of the way. In the future, when we invest in other properties, we will certainly use Jack and Sara's expertise, advice, care, and personal attention again. GoogleThe exit report after our tenancy was carried in which the property was left in a 'good condition' and the only thing chargeable was an oven clean (valued at £60). This rose to £465 for an additional clean and repainting of the walls (not chargeable to us). This was resolved and a £170 deposit was agreed upon by all parties. Over two weeks later we had still not received our deposit and it was only upon chasing Pymm & Co that we found out they wanted to charge us even more despite a charge already being agreed which we should have received. This was now being sorted by a so called manager as the landlady was not happy with the quality of their service and so tried to charge us more than was agreed. I thought the deposit should have been with us in 10 days but they explained it should be a maximum of five. Clearly they don't understand that five is half of 10 and we should have had our deposit back even quicker, so this made no sense. Funnily enough, once they realised their monumental mistake, the deposit came back as it should have done. If anyone is struggling for work I would highly recommend Pymm & Co as clearly no prior training or level of competency is needed at a beginner or managerial level. I would also advise any prospective landlords to avoid using them as ours clearly wasn't happy with the quality of their service. EDIT IN RESPONSE: No you have replied (quite poorly once again) to my brothers complaint, not my cousin. Whilst dubious wording at best, it was agreed our deposit would be sent over so once again you’re mistaken on what is being talked about here. Apart from possible interest and getting the landlord more money (who for whatever reason has decided to pay for your ‘services’), you’re right, no real need to hold on to our deposit.

Dear Mr Brazier, we have responded to your complaint below to your cousin, both by telephone and reply to his Google review. The deposit protection scheme asks us to bring to your attention that we wish to make a claim against your deposit within 10 days, whether that is raised during those 10 days or after. The details of that claim can and are allowed to take longer. We always try to conclude deposit repayments as soon as possible. I would like to bring to your attention we do not profit from claiming against deposits and would always rather return the deposit in full to a tenant should the property be left in the condition in keeping with the inventory, minus wear and tear.

GoogleRented a property with Pymm and co. Had a poor experience with them, from poor communication/ wait times, not releasing our deposit when told they had, and repeatedly adding charges after we moved out. When we first moved out of the property their assessment of the property is that it had been left in a good condition and the only charge we might see is for an oven clean. Later they decided to change this charging 60 for the oven, 110 for a clean and 295 for a repainting of the walls. We challenged these charges and they backed down on the repainting charge. We reluctantly agreed to the cleaning fee and an overall charge of 170 as we wanted to get out deposit back. Pymm and co accepted, and told us they would contact the accounts team to get out deposit back to us. 2 weeks later we contacted them again asking where our deposit was, and only after we contacted them did they get back to us saying they had now also decided to charge us for replacing the kitchen vinyl. They then took over a week to send us through the charge for the vinyl meaning that we had now left the property OVER a month ago without our deposit being released let alone back in our accounts. We rejected the new charges and they after a few days of waiting we finally got the news our deposit was being returned to us. Throughout the process we had different people dealing with us, poor communication, long waits and overall they seemed incompetent in helping us. Personally would not recommend if you are a renter unless you enjoy being messed about and having charges added 3 weeks after you leave the property. Edit: nope, you told us our deposit was being returned to us, then when we chased this up 2 weeks later you attempted to add a new charge.

Dear Mr Brazier, We have looked into your complaint regarding the deposit and can see the correspondence regarding this. An additional claim was considered after the landlord visited the property on top of the already agreed £170. However we can see this was not put forward to be officially claimed , after examination of the inventory and checkout report. We have acted within the time lines of the deposit protection scheme and I would like to apologies if we did not communicate this to you clearly enough. I can see that this was passed straight to a manager after you called for an update and was concluded quickly. I appreciate this looks to be a longer that usual negotiation process, however we must address all questions put forward to us from all parties. I can only apologise that you’re not satisfied with this, but am glad to advise this issue has been resolved now.

GoogleI’ve recently had an excellent experience with Pymm & Co. It has been my first time buying a house so I was rather hesitant, however Cameron was extremely helpful. He answered every question I had, was very well mannered and polite, and also helped reassure me of any doubts. I would definitely recommend Pymm & Co and I would use them again in the future.

Unlike the many positive reviews of Pymm and Co I see here my experience with Pymm and Co was generally very negative and left a bad taste in the mouth.Unlike other agents I’ve dealt with I found Pymm and Co to be quite cold and blunt on the phone and via email, not welcoming or friendly. Like I was bothering them and they couldn’t wait to get me off the line.My personal experience includes being totally ignored on one flat I registered my interest in and after I did what they asked me to do, to be ignored and not be offered a viewing felt like I was being singled out to not be contacted back or looked down upon just because on paper I have more personal issues or earn a bit less than other prospective tenants. There was another flat I registered interest for and did have an online viewing, I was under the impression that this would lead to an in person viewing but whilst I was mistaken on this fact, it wasn’t made totally clear to me this would be the case in their communication.I did manage to get one viewing with them, where despite email confirmation of the viewing and despite me making clear I had to pull strings with work to attend, so I made the effort! They didn’t show on time. I had to ring, the viewing wasn’t in their diary and they had no record of it despite me having record of it, someone rushed down 25 minutes later. To be fair they were nice but what was an issue is they gave me a set of demands that would be needed to be met to rent a property through them, but these are not outlined in easy to find documentation on their website, when I queried the following day the demands, the same person gave me a different set of demands from what I was told in person.When filing an official complaint, I got the demands clarified once and all which was something but it shouldn’t have had to get to that point. Plus when I made the complaint they ignored the issue of the flat I was totally ignored for and severely downplayed the seriousness of their colleague not turning up for the agreed upon viewing I had confirmation for, it more read like a sorry not sorry kind of thing. In regards to the differing demands they were like ‘’I wasn’t there’’ which to me suggests they think I could be bending the truth or lying about this issue. When I responded to their initial email from the complaint, I never got a response back, this was two weeks ago now.My experience trying to find somewhere to rent through Pymm and Co was not a positive one and a rather stressful one because of the reasons outlined and the feeling they are picky and choosy with who they want to do business with and don’t give everyone the same opportunity to go for a property. Unlike other agents I dealt with, I did not get this feeling of everyone having the same fair shot with Pymm and Co. I wouldn’t recommend dealing with them whatsoever.

Lovely agency but overpromise. Had very little idea about how to market the property. Was with them for over 9 months and whilst they generated a lot of visits there were no offers. I wouldn't recommend.
