Patterson’s jarrow lacks good customer…

Patterson’s jarrow lacks good customer service, are untrustworthy and never deal with a situation- just hand you over to someone else who also has no idea how to cope under pressure. They took a holding fee from myself for a property and with some issues (with a CCJ that was in my partners name… with investaigtion it was not his abs evidence sent to them) we lost the property. We were told if we found out the CCJ information and could provide evidence that it was not my partners then the holding fee would stand. Since then, the house has been given to another tenant and a holding fee was taken off them. There has been the most shocking communication from pattinsons with regards to the property. I’m aware that the landlord has no idea what has been going on as the wife of the landlord has fed this back to the neighbour of the properly who has contacted me to tell me this. Really terrible service from all who were involved- which was at least four colleagues. I will never use these services again and will be telling everyone I know never to use them. Terrible business.

Went to view property at field head Longhorsley Put an offer in waited 3 days no reply I then had to phone Lisa at KP in morpeth sorry we haven't heard from the vendor then two days later I had to ring again and was told if we put an offer in of 310k the vendor would except that another 3 days went past no call back I rang Lisa at KP morpeth again and was told they can't get in touch with the vendor I then found out that night the vendor had contacted Lisa at KP morpeth to apparently tell them to put the property to auction still no contact of Lisa At KP morpeth and so my wife rang another week later and spoke to Lisa at KP morpeth and was told they have a cash offer in for the auction and we still have not been told our offer has been declined she acted as if she didn't give a toss well lisa at KP morpeth and Keith Patterson and directors thanks for wasting 4 weeks of our time I would never deal with Keith Pattersons estate agent ever again as they are unprofessional and don't give a toss I hope people read this and don't deal with them as they are a shower of poopCHEERS

Sale of townhouse in Seahouses

Having worked with Kelly and her team in the past, I was aware of how proactive they are in reaching a sale. They were extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process and worked in close contact with myself and the purchaser, to ensure the conveyancing ran as smooth as possible. As the seller, I discussed with Kelly and Darren an alteration in the asking price, in order to get that offer. We all agreed on the price and the best way forwards, which before long did bring the property to being under offer. It is a difficult market at the moment, but Kelly really does know her stuff extremely well and the whole team works very hard on both sides to secure the sale. Would definitely use again in the future.

WARNING - FAKE BIDDING

We had a highly disappointing experience trying to sell a property through Pattinsons Auctions. Pattinsons engage in what is commonly known as shill bidding, placing artificial bids to make the auction appear more active and push prices closer to or above the reserve. While this practice is legal if all parties are informed, we were never told about it as sellers. While buyers may find this information buried in small print, Pattinsons do not make it clear on their live auction platform or prominently on their website, or within the sellers contract. Both buyers and sellers should be extremely cautious. If you have expressed interest in a property but haven’t bid, Pattinsons will likely introduce artificial bids up to £2,500 below the reserve price to create the illusion of demand.Shill bidding really should be illegal, as it is on many platforms like eBay. We would never have agreed to this practice had we been aware of it, and would never have used their service. If their auction platform truly had strong buyer demand, such tactics should not be necessary. Despite over 30 viewings, we received zero bids, which suggests that potential buyers were put off by either the auction process or high buyer fees (~5%). Never again.

DAN'S THE MAN!!!We had an excellent experience with Pattinsons, Houghton branch. Dan was very personable, professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Dan did a great job of marketing the property, with very clear communication throughout (even outside of business hours) so we got a huge amount of interest we were made an offers for 4 days after it went live! Sue, Kimberley and various others from other branches have all been fantastic to deal with. The team in the Houghton branch were friendly and efficient when dealing with every aspect, our home is now SSTC as having not done this before we were made to feel reassured and they are continuing to guided us through the whole process. Amazing Service!

Nicola has been amazing through the whole selling process. So helpful and went out of her way multiple times for us to help the process run smoothly. Discriminate against non-local buyer

They allowed me to bid for a property that I couldn't view as I do not live in the area and intended to purchase the property as an investment. I was told my bid was the highest and in normal circumstances, it would have been accepted. But because I have not viewed the property in-person, it was rejected. If that's the case, why waste my time with all the researches I have done and allowed me to put a bid for the property only to tell me it would have been rejected anyway as I have not view the property in-person. To further rub salt into the wound, they emailed me more properties on sale for me to bid as if I am stupid enough to go through this agent again to have my bids on other properties to be rejected as I won't be able to view those properties in-person anyway. They should put a sign on their door, we only do business with locals.

Everything it's been a total nightmare…

Everything it's been a total nightmare dealing with them ,I've been waiting 8 weeks to view the property and still waiting for them to sort this out I ended up going to the property to find the post bow smashed off all windows open and blowing a gail through the letter box it's been empty for months and the bad weather we have had over the last several weeks what damage has this caused!!!! Ive paid over £7.000 for there fees, it's appalling, do not touch them .

Rented a house with pattinsons, after a year or so they started sending people to quote for minor or works that I didn’t ask them to do, charging me at least £60.00 each time, they did this many many times. I would receive the rent some three weeks after the tenant had paid. Cost me nearly £1000 to leave them. Best thing I ever did. Don’t go near these people. They do not look after your interests, just lining their pockets is the idea.

I would definitely recommend Pattinsons of Stockton for the sale of your house. We had ours on the market for 2 months with many positive viewings and then we had an offer. We bought a house for the first time in years and had a lot of questions throughout the process. Our agent Graham Nisbett from the Blyth, Northumberland branch was absolutely brilliant. He helped us with finding a solicitor and saw us through the whole process of buying. Graham regularly emailed if he had any updates to share and answered our emails promptly. It was easy to contact Graham on the phone if we needed to.If Graham was out of the office the other staff at the Blyth office were always helpful. Altogether an excellent service, I'd recommend Pattinson's Blyth to others.

Bad communication and information

Our buyer had backed out from our purchase on 22nd November 2024, which we were told by the Stockton branch that’s the purchaser was going to reinstate her solicitor on Monday this week despite our solicitor telling us on the 22nd that they had backed out. The estate agent made us wait until Friday this week (28th November) when I phoned the office before I was able to speak to her saying our solicitor had had a further letter to her enquiry on the 28th Nov to confirm our purchasers had indeed withdrawn from the purchase of our property. The purchasers solicitors could not understand why there had been a conflict of information. Why we had to hold on for another week without any explanation from the estate agent is disgusting. They even had me in the office with paperwork for two hours on Friday 22nd probably knowing at that time the purchasers had backed out! They never return a phone call. They had no communication as such with our solicitor, us or the sellers agent we were buying from. Promised phone call never returned. We had a viewing from a prospective buyer who didn’t turn up. I rang the office they said they would contact them. The buyer turned up 40 minutes late. They had no call from Pattersons to ask why they were running late or if they were attending at all even after they had been with us for an hour nothing by way of communication.
