Totally dishonest company who does not implement their published policy. As a potential renter, this company got me to jump through all of the hoops, providing all personal data in advance, agreeing the tenancy detail etc....but still would not allow the paying of a holding deposit. The aim: to keep all prospective tenants dangling by a hook for days on end without them having to make any commitments.At the end, they told me i had not got the property because other applicants could move in earlier: completely wrong.Advice to landlords: If you want to have happy prospective tenants, with a letting agent who is fair and honest, avoid this company.

GoogleRepresentative came out agreed on fee and how much property was going on sale for then asked to sign. Weeks later I ring up to find out if there's been recent interest in which they tried to get me to drop asking price by £10,000 after originally being told the asking price would sell easy. I requested to cancel their services in which they told me I was tied in to a sole agreement with themselves for 20 weeks and couldn't go with another estate agent. This was never mentioned to me before signing with them, I had been mis-sold their services. I have made a complaint and will be seeking Futher action. if you do go through this company please make sure to ask the full terms before signing any agreement and be aware they also fail to retrieve feedback from recent viewers.

Speaking as a buyer, this is a good estate agent. The Tynemouth office worked hard for us, providing lots of leads and following up actively. The people we dealt with were friendly and efficient. The property descriptions seem fairly accurate although you have to realise they are working for the vendor. For example it might say “private rear yard” although it omits the bit about “but it’s shared with the upstairs flat”. The photos are good and reasonably realistic. So when you get to the property you don’t feel too disappointed with the reality.One of the better agents for the Coast area.

Left a household of 6 (including a baby) to live in damp and moldy conditions. 4 of the rooms unusable due to their condition. Children's toys damaged by the mold. Issued an eviction notice for 2 weeks before Christmas after Tennant submitted a complaint. AVOID this company like the plague.

I wish I had read the reviews before engaging with Jan Forster Estates as we'd not had gone near them. My daughter had a move in date a month in advance from them, she booked her removal company etc. 1 working day before move in, the agent pulled out saying the existing tenant was no longer moving out. Something not right about the whole thing, it stinks!

GoogleI had Lorraine Robinson looking after me for the sale of my flat and was extremely pleased with her work. Always able to get in touch and always kept updated. Even stepped up with some extra assistance when my conveyancer was dropping the ball! Highly recommend her and Jan Forster.

GoogleWe bought a property through Jan Foster who were marketing on the owners behalf. Our main contact was Lorraine who was excellent throughout the process. She was always very polite and patient with our queries and we felt extremely reassured by her handling of the sale.

Imagine how morally bankrupt you would have to be to evict a family of six, including an eight month old baby, from their house 2 weeks before Christmas? Excellent service if you want a pesky baby out of the house just before Christmas, otherwise avoid!!!!!!!!!!

Conveniently forgot to pay rent to tlandlord account.I only noticed 2 weeks later when the account was overdrawn. Called them and they had no idea. Not the first issue I've had with this company and I'm sure it won't be the last. Will be taking my business elsewhere when tenancy comes up fior renewal.
