Michelle Ormond and her colleagues at Jan Forster in Tynemouth could not have been more helpful during the sale of my late mother’s house. From the initial evaluation visit, through regular updates to completion, all JF staff were friendly and professional. Even when we hit a blip and I was starting to panic, they were calm and reassuring. Excellent service all round!

The valuer was very friendly and professional. Lorraine Robinson kept us updated every step of the way and nothing was too much trouble. GoogleHaving read good reviews on here I’m sorry to have to say my experience was not that good! I bought a property through the Tynemouth branch in March this year and found the customer service very cold and un helpful, they had no information for me when I reached out for any and I never heard a thing from them from start to finish. I contacted them on completion day to see if I could collect keys and that was the only time I felt any response of positive energy. I would not use them to sell my property having been on the other side as a buyer.

Would honestly give them zero stars if I could.Not sure where to start. Probably the worst letting agency I have dealt with.For a start we were left without hot water for 6 days. Kept getting told the engineers were busy. Even though the law is to not be left longer than 24 hours.Barely respond to maintenance reports unless you constantly go on at them. They never get anything fixed. There was a window that needed fixed that never got sorted. The bath was leaking water from the overflow and it took 3 engineers to fix it… Not really sure why it was such an issue.They just don’t seem to care at all.Now that I’ve moved out. It’s been well over the time for them to get my deposit back and I still haven’t heard from them. Even after asking multiple times.I have been told I would get that information yesterday. But don’t be daft, of course I haven’t.So I’m having to take this further.Honestly don’t know how they are still functioning as a company.AWFUL. Avoid if you want to rent somewhere stress free.

However the staff at Jan Forster in Tynemouth and in particular Michelle Ormond the Branch Manager did everything they could to facilitate my purchase, keep me informed, & speed things up. I would highly recommend them & indeed have, as my cousin is now selling their property through them.
