I rent property and had some serious problems with leaking from the bathroom down into the kitchen which caused quite a bit of damage. Mia Barron in the Property Management team acted very quickly contacting my landlord and organising the builder, plumber and electrician to resolve the issue. She dealt with the whole situation calmly and professionally and was incredibly understanding of the all the upset the water damage caused. She is a credit to William H. Brown. Amazing job Mia!

Spoke with Tom Matthews in regards to renting a property in Norwich with my friend and from start to finish the experience was consistent, we were informed and kept up to date with discussions he had with the landlord which was reassuring. Tom answered all of our questions too; as we are making the jump from house shares to renting a flat he provided that extra bit of care and due diligence to make sure we knew what the next steps of the process were. This made us feel confident in the change! Overall 10/10 experience and if you are looking to rent a property from William H Brown I’m confident Tom will be an asset in getting you to the next step!

I hate to have to leave a bad review, but my experience as a tenant of William h brown has been so shocking that I think this is necessary. Throughout our tenancy, William h brown have failed to respond to emails on several occasions. Now that our tenancy has ended, we have been constantly receiving automated arrears emails, despite the tenancy ending and despite us paying all of our rent for the duration of our tenancy. It appears they have failed to update their system with the details of the new tenants for the property, despite us requesting them to at least 5 times. We have recently been informed that it is our fault (as previous tenants) that they have not updated their system, because we were supposed to provide them with the new tenants guarantor information, even though this was not communicated to us at the time. I am very confused as I believe this is not something that an ex tenant is responsible for. We provided the agency contact details for the prospective new tenants well in advance to the end of our tenancy to enable time for referencing etc, and it appears that they did absolutely nothing with this information? Naturally, it is very concerning receiving arrears emails addressed to myself for a property which I don’t even live in anymore. Even if the agency did want us to collect further details of the new tenants, they failed to communicate this at the time, and as previously mentioned they failed to even acknowledge receipt of our various emails giving notice of leaving the tenancy at the end of the term, and asking how to proceed with ending our tenancy. The lack of communication throughout our tenancy has been shocking, and I hate to think what it would have been like if we had any property maintenance issues. I hope that the issue with the arrears notices can be resolved and I will never have to contact William h brown lettings department again.

If I could rate higher I would, but 5 stars is the limit. Before going to William H Brown for a mortgage appointment my partner and I already had one in principle. It was a high interest rate with 15% deposit. But after speaking to Sarah Alison at William H Brown we were left with amazing news that we could have one with 10% deposit and a low rate. It opened so many doors for us, I’m now 4 days into being in my very own house. All thanks to the efforts of Sarah, not only did she do an amazing job professionally. She’s also a very lovely and polite lady, she made you feel welcome and made the scary things not so scary. If you ever need mortgage advise or help, I highly recommend seeing Sarah at William H Brown.

What a great company! Andrew our mortgage advisor from Norwich Bank Plain really made our first experience of buying a house really smooth. He was extremely helpful, always kept us up to date, and went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with what we were purchasing. As first time buyers he put us at ease, guided us through the whole process which gave us the confidence we needed. We cannot recommend him enough. Said keys were in lock box at house and gave us code but previous owner had not been advised that completion had taken place, despite calling repeatedly for 2 days and still had belongings and pets in the house.
