GoogleI have been highly impressed with the Red Squirrel lettings department and its team from the outset. Everyone has been very friendly and extremely helpful and have always been very quick to respond to any questions that I had. The concept of being sent an online video viewing of the property prior to a physical viewing is a great idea, as many of the questions that you may have about the property are already answered prior to the viewing. Having been tenants of the Island's largest estate agency for the last ten years, where as tenants we felt that we were always treated as being second class citizens, Red Squirrel Property Shop have been a breath of fresh air and have made us feel very welcome as clients. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Red Squirrel lettings department and would like to say a big thank you to all of the team.

Rented a property through them for 2+ year. It didn't matter that I had been a good tenant in the property for 5 years before they took over the management. As soon as they were involved I had inspectations every 3 months which I found to be quite intrusive. Usually I'm used to someone popping in, having a look around and a bit of a chat and then leaving. This felt like every little aspect of the property was being scrutinized and exaimed... there was one girl who was very nice but everyone else has been a little odd (and that's coming from an odd person). They were very unhelpful as a tenant, focused much more on making money then any care or consideration for their tenants in their care. Personally I wouldn't use them again, and I've heard a lot of poor reviews from other people about them.

I mainly dealt with Charlie through this time and communication was never a problem. Charlie did his best to get everything into place as quick as possible which is highly appreciated.

FacebookFrom the very first meeting, Charlie was friendly, honest and committed to helping us sell my Grandfather's property. Communication was excellent via phone and/or email, and they were very responsive. Each & every member of staff I spoke to was friendly & efficient ~ big shout out to Alex who was just brilliant and genuinely seemed to have our best interest in mind. Also Clarice and Karen, who were just lovely on the phone, and always responded positively to my calls. GoogleFirst time buying a property, they listened to my needs, taking the time to answer all my questions and providing me with extra information on what I should be doing. Having the MIO app was also very helpful and gave me structure to each step I had taken on the purchasing journey. I would highly recommend Red Squirrel and will be using them again in the future!

FacebookDO NOT USE THIS DISHONEST COMPANY Despite us leaving the house in a clean condition as well as our check out Inventory and check out photos showing very little dirt, Red Squirrel have charged us £450 to clean a tiny two bed in Cowes. Rather than hire a professional cleaning company they contract the cleaners themselves and when asked to provide proof of products used and hours worked they've refused. I feel this is a highly unprofessional and non transparent way to do business. When we disputed the charge Red Squirrel sent emails stating our Tenancy Agreement requires a professional deflea and clean due to us having a pet. This is not in our tenancy agreement as this would be unlawful (Tenant Fees Act 2019). You need proof of damage/infestation to require such charges and this was not the case, nor any evidence provided as such. It seems to me again highly unprofessional that an estate agent doesn't appear to know current property law or what is in their own Tenancy agreement. We are now seeking legal advice to take this matter further. Over 2 years we never missed rent, we had 3 house inspections, every time being told the house looked immaculate and we cleaned every inch of it when we left. In our opinion they have zero ethics. We recommend you look elsewhere for your housing needs. And in response to your claim the DPS rewarded you the money - that is false. We missed the evidence submission date. Photo attached of email proof from the DPS. PLEASE STOP LYING
1) If you have such compelling evidence why did you not share it with us before we went to the DPS? If valid, it would have avoided wasting valuable government agency time, resources and essentially tax payer's money. 2) And why is this 'evidence' not included in our exit report from Acorn Inventories? Your claims are inconsistent with what Acorn, a third party agency, have recorded. 3) We have never asked for our full deposit back, we just expected an amount back that is fair. 4) Saying we have no evidence is pure conjecture. We have taken legal advice and have all evidence necessary for our case that we initially prepared for the DPS, that we will now be submitting to the Small Claims Court. Please remember it is the cleaning bill alone that we are contesting. You can either share your 'factual' evidence here on Facebook or via email. We look forward to it with interest.

I can confirm that Eileen and the rentals team are all lovely and extremely professional with any issues being speedily dealt with. Charlie and the sales team are equally as professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them for either your purchase/sale or letting needs.
