GoogleI would very strongly recommend Luscombe & Co to anyone searching for a house. We are moving from France to the Newport area and have been struggling to find a house, and very much felt like a number with other estate agents. This was not the case with Luscombe & Co, Felicia was so extremely helpful and friendly in helping us secure a property, and she answered every single question I had. She kept in amazing contact with us, really explained how their rental process works, and has just made a very stressful task so much smoother, easier, and stress free. It really feels like she has our best interests at heart as well as the landlord's, and that is very rare with many estate agents. Felicia in particular has been a huge support to us. She is personable, approachable, friendly, efficient and professional and a credit to Luscombe & Co. I've rented properties for the entirety of my professional life in both London and Wales. I've dealt with many estate agents and property managers before but this is by far the best service I've ever had. Felicia is a big part of that statement. GoogleHave been renting through Luscombe for almost 2 years and no issues. Only marked down one star purely because a few things were missed right at the beginning which left me with no power to my cooker or washing machine but as soon as I let them know, they had someone booked to come out and it was being resolved. Felicia has been very accommodating when iv had issues fitting in a face to face inspection due to work commitments. All staff that iv dealt with are really friendly and down to earth. Would recommend this agency ☺

GoogleEdit as of April 2025: While the overall review is poor, I must start by saying that those in the office have been polite at the start and throughout the tenancy. Unfortunately, Luscombe and Co have tried to charge me for items on check out for issues present prior to moving in/unreasonable costs. For full transparency they have tried to claim £700 from my deposit; £500 of which was for a replacement bath tub for which there was a repairable crack, (accidental damage). The DPS adjudicator agreed that this would be classed as betterment and sided with my proposal of contributing £216 further to a quote received from a specialist. They also tried to claim for various other items totalling to £200; £50 of which was awarded to them and £150 back to me. Therefore, in the eyes of the DPS independent assessor, £265 of £700 was actually a legitimate claim, which, in my opinion is fair and reasonable. It's pointless to say don't use these letting agents if you are a tenant as yoi have very little choice if you like a property, however, please do protect yourself by taking top to bottom pictures of the property as their check in reports are mostly inaccurate and omit obvious damages. If you are a landlord, keep an eye on the way this agent manages your funds. As I mentioned, they incurred the landlord £700 of expenditure when the final payout was actually £265. If you are a tenant and they try to take money from your deposit which you feel is unfair/unreasonable, definitely raise this through the DPS dispute system as they refuse to engage with you directly. As a final point, they will also likely try to raise your rent every 6 months if you are on a 6 month agreement. If on 12 months, they will certainly go for increases annually.
