GoogleCan’t speak highly enough of this company, not only did they sell our house within 48 hours of it going on the market but they also found us our dream home. George, James and Anthony have given outstanding service , friendly and professional and the whole team have kept us updated every step of the way. They are a marvellous team and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Crook and Blight.

Googleedit: still finding water damage. Spent around 30K now and having to hire professional dehumidifier too. It should be illegal to sell properties like this pretending it's livable. So dissapointed. Sold us a house with 20K worth of repais in hidden faults. Looked dry and good when we visited both times. Had a friend property consultant point out some obvious minor repairs and no major concerns. As soon as we moved in the house started to become damp and overgrown with mold. They must have been drying it out and getting it cleaned up before our visits?!... I was already pregnant and my baby was born with a heart problem needing surgery probably due to unhealthy living conditions...avoid avoid avoid

Having dealt with more than a dozen agents over the last three months, we can honestly say that he was one of the best we have come across. He was professional, friendly and helpful. If more agents were half as good as him, dealing with estate agents would be a pleasure.

GoogleI have recently used Crook and Blight to let out my flat for the first time - as this is a completely new experience to me, I needed someone to take me through every step of the process. Becky Quinn has been absolutely invaluable to me during the past few months, Becky has provided me with every last thing I need to do at each stage, has offered help and support when I need it and has always been extremely prompt to reply which is very much appreciated in such a stressful process. If I continue to let in the future, Becky will definitely be my first point of contact as long as she's not sick of my emails by then!

GoogleRichard Crook acted for the seller when we bought our house. When, years later, we came to sell that house, his firm were the natural choice for us. They were always optimistic of a successful outcome, even when we had doubts. They arranged a far higher number of viewers than we had thought possible, in the process securing a number of offers. Richard and Jane were very supportive during the conveyancing process, making calls up and down the chain when necessary to keep it all moving along to completion and feeding back promptly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and when, in years to come, we want to sell our new house I'm sure Crook & Blight will be high on our list of potential estate agents.

GoogleAvoid Crook and Blight at all cost!.... made a offer on a empty property after the offer was accepted Crook and Blight failed to mention that the property was subject to probate!... I found this out after doing alot of chasing myself only to be repeated told by Jane that it was all fine and probate was granted. On this information I sent the serveyor in and spent £450 on a home buyers report to then be told by my solicitors that in fact it had not been granted Crook and Blight had lied again!... this was after 6 weeks of chasing and content lying from the estate agents.... I eventually had enough and pulled out of the purchase. I message Richard Crook to I form him and to advise how unhappy I was at the way I had been fobbed off and lied to..for him not to even respond. They've even put the property straight back on the market with no probate so some poor other person will end up experiencing what I went through! Awful customer service...just after a sale and commission. I wouldn't trust them to sell a shed never mind a house!
The situation with this property was very difficult and quite tragic as quite a young person had died. Probate had been granted but part way through the transaction it came to light that there had been a mortgage on the property which put the sale into negative equity. This caused a substantial delay as the lender was slow and not particularly co-operative at first. We had no way of knowing this was going to happen as the Solicitors dealing with the case were also not aware, and until the transaction was well underway neither were the Solicitors acting for the Estate. Having two separate Solicitors also complicated matters. We are very sorry for the delays and that the buyer felt that could not wait any longer but these were matters completely outside our control, complicated by both circumstances and multiple Solicitors

GoogleCrook and Blight caused nearly £600 of damage to my new brand van, when one of their staff dropped a 'for rent' sign from the top of a ladder. They have constantly fobbed me off and avoided communication. they once suggested that they might settle without going through their insurance. Since then they have refused to answer my emails and refuse to provide me with details of their public liability insurance. Their behaviour, and in particular the attitude of Richard Crook, has been appalling.
We feel that this review is totally incorrect. We appreciate that accidents can happen and are fully prepared to deal with them however when we asked for photographic evidence of the damage done we did not receive any photographs of the damage. The board contractor was adamant that he did not cause damage. We are fully insured and would happily pay for any damage caused if it was justified. We feel that this review is damaging to our reputation and are taking legal advice as the comment does not relate to our core business and is irrelevant other than it has been posted with a view to damage our long standing business reputation. We have been in business for over 40 years and have never shied away from taking our responsibilities seriously.

GoogleWe have moved house twice in the last 18 months. After initially buying a house that was being sold through Crook and Blight, we were so impressed by their service that for our next move we decided to put the sale of our house in their hands. The whole team was excellent. Richard Crook himself was very attentive when preparing the sale details and photographs of the house. The house was promptly advertised and a sale secured within a matter of weeks. The house we subsequently bought was also through Crook and Blight and we were kept closely informed of the progress of both our sale and purchase by Jane in the sales department. Whenever we phoned the office we were put through to the right person who was able to deal with our enquiry. We would certainly use them again.
Would love to say that we would be delighted to deal with the sale of your present property however we are well aware that you have bought a unique and most desirable home which you will be living in for many years to come. Thanks again for your custom over the years. Richard Crook

If it comes time for me to sell again, I will remember these guys and go to them. Thanks to Anthony for showing us round, and being so accomodating for us asking questions about the general area not just the property. Update: I did purchase a property CrookandBlight were marketing, and they were of great assistance even when solicitors were not being. Thanks to Holly and the whole team for dealing with my constant questions!

Trying to get information from the conveyancers has been difficult and not forthcoming, Ellie-Mai with her pro-active determination on behalf of the client managed to prise the information out and communicated it directly and efficiently Well done

They’ve offered ongoing support and multiple subsequent viewings once our offer was accepted which enabled us to show family around and measure different rooms etc. We would particularly like to thank Anthony for our house viewing; his knowledge, humour and general personable nature made the viewing experience so enjoyable and relaxed. A huge thank you also goes to Aimee in the office as she was always at hand to answer any questions we had and solved any queries or problems with efficiency and empathy.
