GoogleCrook & Blight have been a pleasure to deal with so far. Nothing has been too much trouble, no question too trivial. We met with Anthony to view a property and he was brilliant, able to answer all questions that were posed and even able to give a bit of background history on the property. Thanks for the excellent experience

GoogleWould not purchase a property through Crook and Blight! After the problems of being told I had to complete 2-3 months earlier than I had agreed to do when making my bid for the property. I then found out I was liable for 'estate rentcharges' these were not pointed out to me at any time by Crook and Blight, and I certainly would not have made a bid in knowledge of this. When I asked why they had not informed me i was met with rudeness and the general impression it was my problem and not their's. They also claimed they had not heard of the charges before (they also sold 3 properties on the same estate) so they are either delibrately deceptive or totally incompetant. Avoid like the plague.

GoogleVisited a property in risca to veiw it. As I knocked the door one of cook and bright employees answered and said I’m sorry your not down to veiw the property. I showed her the email I had to veiw it at 12 she said sorry you have been double booked please wait in your car. After veiwing the property I made an offer and no one came back to me to say the offer was rejected or accepted. I have used lots of estate agents over the years to buy and sell properties and this one has the worse communication skills.

Google- After failing to sell our property with several other agents, our experience with Crook and Blight was like a breath of fresh air. They were communicative, helpful and pro-active. Came up with some great marketing ideas and took the best photos for Right Move. Sold the house in six weeks

GoogleWe’ve had a couple of interactions thus far; a 1st viewing went well, the agent showing us a property was very pleasant. When we attempted a second viewing and arrived 5 minutes late the second agent was really quite short and can’t seem to fathom that we have no control over traffic conditions when you travel any distance (we left in plenty of time and were behind a funeral procession for 12 miles). We actually bid on the property and genuinely thought that we’d be in with a chance but it felt like when a second player came in with a higher offer (which they will naturally use to push you further) their communication stopped - though no offers had yet been accepted. We eventually got to a best and last scenario where the company neglected to call with any update. “Oh, you should have been told they had a better offer” was the response. We are now interested in a different property, “the vendor has requested a block viewing, IF we get to your name we’ll give you a call”. I’ve two friends who have recently listed properties and it’s the suggestion of the agent that block viewings are done, to drum up desperate interest. I don’t like being given a 10 minute window to make a £250,000 decision and think the agent should have a responsibility to both sides not to just stoke a desperate grab for people making the biggest financial decision of their lives.

GoogleWithout Crook and Blight I think our sale would have fallen through. We had a nightmare with the Solicitors of the buyers and if it wasn't for Lara I think I would have lost my sanity. She was incredibly patient and definitely went the extra mile in helping sort things out. I cannot recommend Crook & Blight and Lara enough!

GoogleI don't normally leave reviews but we have recently sold our home with Crook and Blight. The service was great. Staff were always helpful and well informed. Everything happened really quickly too, our property was marketed on rightmove before we'd managed to get around everyone and tell them we were thinking of moving. We were really pleased with the service we recieved, we hope we won't need to use them again for while but would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a good estate agent

The photographs they took of our house were extremely professional along with all the dealings with Richard, James, Jane and the other office based staff. Everyone we spoke to regarding our sale was professional and competent, something that can only be gained from years of experience. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Crook & Blight to others and when we decide to sell our current home we will definitely be calling them. Thank you.

GoogleTried to rent off them but they refused us even though I offered to pay six months up front. I will never use them again as this happened more than once. Their slogan should be "Crook and blight - Our name says it all"
Hi Dann, We appreciate the feedback but disagree with the sentiment. Just because an applicant offers to pay rent up front, it does not follow that the application is automatically successful. We have a duty of care to our landlords and if other criteria is not met, we can not recommend the application and would support the landlord’s decision if they choose to reject it.
