I have recently switched to JOHNS&CO for lettings and management of my property in the UK. I learned about this company through Ms. Edith Kwok, Managing Partner of JOHNS&CO. Edith was a very helpful and experienced person in the field. She offered me great assistance and advice in purchasing the new flat and subsequent setup process for rental. Soon after I handed over my property to JOHNS&CO, the letting team worked very hard to find appropriate tenants for me. Ms. Saffron Scanlon is a effective Lettings Negotiator. She knew the market trends and understood my expectations well. In a few weeks, she successfully found appropriate tenants we wanted. Meanwhile, Ms. Candice Chan, Lettings Administrators, started the paper work, credential checking, and all necessary background work quickly. She took the time to explain the letting procedure and paper work needed. I am happy that my property is managed by reliable and professional staff in JOHNS&CO.

Avoid dealing with Johns&Co at all costs!!! Our onboarding agent was very nice and professional, but living in a 1-bed flat in Royal Wharf for 18 months was a disastrous experience. Property manager replacement happened every few months for no reason. Issues took ages to fix and “icing on the cake” was a made up liabilities for over GBP 750 they/landlord wanted to charge me upon tenancy end. In the end, 1.5 months after vacating the flat, we agreed for under GBP 200 liabilities and it was accepted by both sides, however suddenly the landlord/agent changed their mind last minute and now want to charge additional GBP 30 for a made up cost which I was not aware about at all. The agent even blatantly emailed they are ready to return my deposit same day if I accepted the additional liabilities (which implies if I don’t accept, they will delay further). This is the worst experience of renting in London.

I would like to make a shout out to Tawnie at Johns & Co who was immensely helpful and supportive with what was a difficult time and process regarding early termination due to personal circumstances. Despite the ultimate decisions understandably being made by the landlord (who was also supportive) Tawnie always kept our best interest in mind and worked to get the best possible outcome for all parties involved including for myself as a tenant with seemingly limited manoeuvre.
