This company cannot be praised enough, especially when you cannot speak to a real person, all being blamed on Covid. They are the most professional and efficient company I have had dealings with in years. There friendliness and keeping us upto date on what is happening with our sale was superb. Would I use Northwood again?? Absolutely! Clare’s attention to detail, passion for sales and customer service is what set Northwood apart from the get go at the valuation stage. She came prepared, explained the full sales process to us as first time sellers and guided us throughout the journey. Caitlin did an outstanding job presenting the property through her photographs and online marketing including social media. This is one of the key areas that drew us to Northwood as we felt their style really fit with what we wanted. Clare worked with us on multiple offers using her expert experience to get us full asking price! We continued to get weekly catch up calls which we felt really made the process easy and enjoyable.

We rented from northwoods Ipswich for 12 years then they sent us an eviction letter saying they wanted us out because they were moving family in but the truth is they wanted us out because we weren't paying enough rent they just sent painters in to paint the walls and put a new boiler in when we lived there the place was full of mice and damp so dont move into 237 heath Road Ipswich they just want to make more profit by charging £1300 a month phil was the only person who cared the rest waste the rest are a waste of space

Never use the Warrington office if you…

Never use the Warrington office if you are a landlord. When I received my property back it was clear that they never inspected. AllMy neighbours told me how they had complained and been ignored by the office. The damage done to the gardens was appalling with damage caused to the roof as it had been left be the tenant to overgrown for 2 years.Work that Northwood said needed to be done was substandard and all has had to be redone. They sold the guaranteed rental scheme on me having to do nothing and they would look after everything when what they meant was they would do nothing and I would have to do everything.I messaged them about the state of the property and the quality of the workmanship they provided and not surprisingly now they had no income they simply ignored.Stay away

Do not use this company.of your a Landlord.They sold a franchise to someone who used my property to grow weed.They got raided amd my power was disconnected.Northwood Coventry illegally reconnected the property amd replaced my front and back all of this without any of my knowledge.I found out 2 years later after a neighbour tood me.Rang up grid to get a crime number who told me i was never reconnected,they then disconnected me amd charged me 2 grand to reconnect on top of the thousands ive spent putting the property right.Please do not use and spread the word.

Checking out was a nightmare

Checking out was a nightmare. Tried to charge me to replace stuff when the flat never came with them in the first place. Takes ages to respond to e-mail. There are no individual e-mail addresses (just a general one - At least in Northwood Aberdeen) and it makes it harder to communicate. There were times where my e-mails were ignored even. Would not recommend to anyone.

First time viewing a property through…

First time viewing a property through Northwood Sandbach and will unfortunately never be viewing properties represented by this estate agents again. I waited 30 minutes and nobody showed up, called the Sandbach office twice in that time and kept being informed they were 2 minutes away which turned out to be a lie because after 40 minutes there was still a no-show, and even after I left the property I never received any contact from them to say they were there or to apologise. Completely wasted my morning/time driving up to Sandbach for nobody to show up. Poor service and unreliable so I will not be trusting this estate agents in future. The worst thing about it is that I was genuinely interested in buying the property I was viewing.

Incompetent, lazy, unprofessional, crooks

After moving abroad we entrusted our flat to Northwood to manage for us due to obvious logistical hurdles. We have lost thousands of pounds in just a year and a half of using Northwood. We have never had our flat vacant longer than 2 months, yet somehow they took 8 months due to incompetence, lack of any effort what so ever to market the flat and their contractors damaging the property. The photos and description made it look and sound like a dark dank dungeon and they cut holes in the bathroom ceiling for new spot lights, leaving the old light holes open until the tenant asked if they would repair, over 6 months after the old lights were removed. Once we finally got a tenant they left within a matter of months due to Northwoods incompetence to deal with a water leak from a neighbouring property and absolute refusal from Northwood to get involved when a neighbour removed the bushes from our private garden, removing all privacy from the road. I suspect the neighbour was annoyed with the lack of maintenance from our garden but as Northwood were not managing or maintaining our property as we employed them to do, it resulted in criminal damage. The tenants move out this week and the flat is still not being marketed yet which will result in even more costs for us. They do not respond to emails for weeks and only after chasing them, there is never anyone available to speak to if you call and the promised call back never happens. If this is how they treat their landlords, I cannot begin to imagine how badly they treat the tenants. AVOID!

I would not normally write a review of any company or service but I feel that on this occasion I ought to do so. I recently engaged Northwood as agents for the sale of my property. From the very first moment of entering the Four Lane Ends branch, where I met Claire, I was fully at ease. Her wonderful, bright personality put me at ease as she explained what needed to be done and how it to do it. The next day, Claire came to my property, together with a colleague, to survey and photograph it. Then, that same day, the property was listed on the internet just before 1600hrs. Incredibly, only eight minutes later, I received a call asking for a viewing which was carried out one hour later. Three hours after that, I had a tacit agreement for an immediate purchase. My property was sold and I moved out with three weeks. Throughout this short period Claire and Caitlin have kept me fully informed in their very friendly and professional manner. I can only say that everything has been exemplary and I would recommend Northwood to anyone buying or selling a property. Thanks, to the Northwood Benton Team. Best wishes, Dennis
