I am a landlord and have a property with them. Following my previous review, the similar thing happened again! I have a landlord insurance that covers emergency repairs. Despite telling them that they should check with my insurance company in the event of an emergency (and they said they also forwarded the information to the tenants), they still used their own contractors. As a recent example, the tenants reported a lack of electricity, but instead of using the insurance cover, some random contractor was used, without my knowledge. It cost me hundreds of pounds. I argued that by failing to follow the instructions, the tenants should pay. But Heywoods did not follow this up and I was later billed for this after the tenants left, and more importantly after the submission of the deposit claim! So I can no longer even file a claim from their deposit to recover this totally unnecessary cost!

GoogleAn excellent family estate agent with excellent staff. I really like the branch answers every call. No diverts to other branches, messages hopefully passed on, not knowing if the person you want is actually at work that day. With lottie and other staff at Heywoods i spoke to real local people every time and received quick call backs. As a landlord i ask myself if my calls were made as a possible tenant looking for a property to let, how would i rate the service. Definitely it would be Heywoods as my firts choice

GoogleWe used Heywoods to sell out property which was part of a complicated chain. Heywoods were excellent keeping us informed and chasing things through all of the way. Heywoods took extra care when photographing the property and writing the sale particulars to describe the key features and aspects of the property in order to achieve the best price. The property sold for over asking price within the first two weeks and we were able to complete on time to keep all of the people in the chain happy. Charlotte visited us quickly upon request to value the property and I found her knowledge fantastic and she gave me confidence that we would have a great relationship throughout the sales process. I also met with other local agents and online agents but felt very at ease with heywoods process. Also like that it’s no fee to after the sale and no long term contract in case we hadn’t been happy. On agreeing to put it on the marketing wonderful pictures were taken and the board was up as soon as we gave the go ahead. Within hours we had lots of interest and Rachel and Chelsea were fantastic at at keeping us up to date. We were very lucky to have lots of interest in the property and offers and as it was the first time we have put a house on the market the guidance of Chelsea and Rachel on how to proceed was much welcomed. Awful service. Phoned to arrange to view a property, said they'd call me back and didn't. I phoned again a day or two later and a viewing was booked for a week's time as they didn't have any agents available until then. A week passed and two hours before the viewing I get a text telling me it's cancelled as they have sold the house. I've booked time off work and don't even get a courtesy phone call.

They not only secured a good eventual price but helped empty the property, arranged for furniture to be delivered to a local charity, ordered a skip, helped with electrical and plumbing maintenance.
