Moved into a Strongvox home in August 2019, a few small issues that were dealt with efficiently and a more serious issue with a water leak that took a little longer to resolve, but was resolved satisfactorily. Overall I am happy with Strongvox, the house seems well built, quality fittings and the estate is very pleasant and of good design. The Sales & Building staff are all polite, responsive to questions and generally very helpful. The site itself is well controlled for a building environment and disruption to ‘normal’ life for the newly arrived residents is kept to an absolute minimum. Strongvox get my recommendation, and I am a verified purchaser with no personal interest in the company.

I moved into a Strongvox property a year ago. I have found them to be responsive to any queries, also they have fixed all of the snagging quickly. The workmen were polite, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up as they went. This is the first new build I have ever brought, and I have to say it has been a very good experience from the very first viewing to the completion and beyond. From my experience I have recommended them to other people who are considering purchasing a new property.

Terrible customer service, I can't recommend this house builder. They never keep their word. They sell you a house and then apply to vary the planning consent after 11 years! Fixtures and fixtures were cheap and haven't lasted. I've had to replace all of the taps after 6 years. The fence after 2 years and garden retaining wall after 3 years. The site in Stogursey has not been finished in 11 years. No street lights for 9 years, roads still unadopted. They want to build on top of a children's play area to 'make money' said Director Robert Alford!!! Seriously, if you want the country ideal don't come here. Its been nothing but challenge and stress. You can buy a high density new build anywhere that will be better value and lot less stress.

I don't know where to start from.. I would like to warn everyone who consider buying a property from this company. I can't believe a company like that can legally operate in the UK. Their customer service is shocking. They haven't soundproofed all flats in a purposely built new block of flats. We have a bought a NEW apartment from Strongvox for £190.000 and the next day of moving in we noticed a massive issue with impact noise caused by people who live above us (ceiling shakes like in an old barn). This noise affects our life and it has turned our life into a nightmare. It is so bad that we have formed a Neighbours Committee in order to act together against them. All the flats on ground and first floor are affected! We even removed a part of the ceiling only to discover that there is no sign of acoustic insulation, acoustic pipe insulation or sound board. Initial analysis made by an independent soundproofing company, that we contacted recently, clearly states that this flat would not pass building regulations for Part E. Just see pictures attached. The only good thing about this is the fact that people here a lovely and issues like that bring all residents together.

What can are really say about Strongvox. You'd thought I'd have realised there were going to be big issues when I was sold tiling that would definitely be wall to wall sir. Really? That's good! Did you want that extra then sir? Oh yes please. However you'd never guess what, when I happened to need a cupboard removing (as they "didn't realise" that the dishwasher I had that I'd checked to make sure there we definitely plumbing for would want to go in the agreed place) the tiling stopped at the units (oh and there wasn't any plumbing for the dishwasher by the way!) Then there was the issue with the door a not being cut straight. 4 doors later and they still haven't been able to get it right. In the end the altered the doorway to fit the door! I guess I could also mention the render that started crumbling and falling off, or the shower that leaked, or the panelling on the bath that looks like someone drunk cut it, or the inability to put plasterboard on straight. But to top it all off I had to of their customer care team in today who decided 1) it would be a great idea to balance a fan heater on top of the fridge (oh wait they didn't tell anyone they were doing it so when my 6 year old daughter opened the door to get her drink...) which I later questioned and got told it dried it quicker so they didn't need to come back - but wait wouldn't that mean it's more likely to crack? Ummmm. 2) Rather than remove or fix the plasterboard they cut holes in to attempt to mend the stairs they simply stuck more in front of it. Unfortunately for them it fell down so little old me had a poke around and found that they'd also kindly dumped all their rubbish in there. How kind! (Thats the picture by the way!). As you might gather I'm pretty sick of these jokers. Their customer care is poor (I've been in over a year and still have outstanding issues from the ORIGINAL snagging list) and any issues they do come out for then need repeat visits to correct. My advice would be avoid avoid avoid. Spend your money elsewhere please! Strongvox have informed me they don't believe the heater was a health and safety risk and that it didn't happen as I don't have any photographic or video footage...umm how, I mean really, how was I meant to get that one????

This is a Company not to be trusted at all. We purchased a Deluxe 4 bedroomed detached house in the village of Stogursey in February 2008 - in May 2008 the builders walked off leaving a "bomb site" . The houses they couldn't sell were sold off as Council houses which immediately devalued our property. We have been trying to sell since 2009 and can't!At the end of 2017 they put in a new planning application for extra substandard properties - whatever you do don't buy from Strongvox! You will regret it!

Sandhill Park. Absolute travesty when it comes to customer care and quality. Knock on any door on this 'luxury' development, and find out what Strongvox 'Quality' actually means and looks like. Like many customers we have been seriously let down by the empty promises to correct the appalling quality work which is far beyond the usual snagging list. We are all now considering legal action. Recomend any potential customer visit Sandhill and speak to any resident here first. As another week passes of empty promises. The major plasterwork won't begin until end of September and last three whole days. No news yet more promises over the different colour glass doors (which were the replacements for the scratched ones) No new either of the damaged french doors which are simply falling apart in front of our eyes. No news of when a carpenter will actually turn up to refit the stairs which doesn't fit properly and was raised before we moved in. Many, many promises of someone arriving tomorrow which never happens. Simply feel depressed, upset and so disappointed.

It is clear that Strongvox were previously able to deliver quality homes in the past and so have happy customers at their other developments. The issue is that something has changed. As a result we and the indeed the majority of home buyers at Sandhill Park have experienced something very different in terms of the quality of build which was promised and which has now meant months of waiting for repairs to be done. Strongvox needs to accept and analyse this, learn from it, put it right and apologise for the stress and inconvenience caused.

Most builders hire tradesmen and this can be very frustrating when they let you down but over time the reliable ones will be the ones who get re-employed. We moved into a new Strongvox home off Amberd Lane in Trull, Taunton last September and are delighted with the quality of the build and fixtures. Any new property will have snagging issues and one needs to allow time for things to get resolved bearing in mind the huge demand on and limited availability of the trades. All residents have 2 years for things to get resolved and the after sales team have done a fantastic job in co-ordinating and completing the work. Yes, some trades have let us down but we have not blamed Strongvox for this and would recommend them to anyone (urgent issues will always get top priority). Prior to buying we visited many new developments but were disappointed with the quality and the way they are crammed in. We have got to know many of the Strongvox staff while the development was completed and find them all to be friendly and helpful.

Strongvox employee (as opposed to contractor) called to fix three snags, part of the long list we originally had (Laurels @ Cribbs). He looks to have done a good job. Attempts had been made to repair all three before.

Disappointed in some areas

We love the house and where it is, the build quality is generally very good and some of the finishing excellent. However with snags and the not following of plans this company does what suits them. It is very disappointing but be aware of this and that their customer service is not up to the standard that they state it is?
