Worst organised letting company. I have several properties that I use letting agents to manage. By far, Gascoigne-Pees are the worst. They charge for everything despite me paying for full managed property they make additional charges for anything they do. They consistently fail to do anything that they say they will do. Their different departments don't communicate with each other. They give letting/estate agents a bad name.

GoogleWorking with Gascoigne pees, Leatherhead, has been a disappointment to say the least. We bought a house via them last year and were assured the seller was trustworthy and ‘honourable’. It seems they are happy to lie to our faces to get a sale. Since moving in, we have come across so many problems needing money to be pumped into the place to make it habitable (at one point there was water coming through the ceiling!). In addition, the seller has not corrected a number of things he promised to correct prior to the sale. We will not be working with gascoigne pees again and would suggest no one else should either!
Hello A&J, I am sorry that you are experiencing issues with your property purchased last year, however, such matters are outside of the remit of an Estate Agent as these concerns would usually be looked into via your instructed surveyor. During your purchase, if you did instruct the assistance of a surveyor to conduct a full structural survey of the house and believe these matters would have been known to this professional at the time, I would have to strongly advise you contact this person directly. Regarding any promised provided by the seller that certain works would be completed prior to completion, this would be a matter to raise with your solicitor, as if known to them they would have a duty to confirm with the seller's solicitors that such works had been completed prior to exchange and completion. GoogleHaving had high hopes and expectations from the really positive valuation meeting, we were quickly disappointed. We were held to an 8 week contract and, dispite being extremely flexible in our price expectations, viewings were few and far between. One of the negotiators essentially told us they were waiting for people to see our property online. Given their rates were the highest out of the agencies, we expected them to do more work than posting on Rightmove and Zoopla etc to collect their commission. To make matters worse, when looking to buy, I had to call multiple times in 1 day to arrange viewings of similar houses having seen them online - the team did not seem to think to recommend the others which could have been suitable, I had to find them myself online.

I felt I was heard as a prospective tenant, listened to and patronising or cold interaction which I have experienced before with some property agents, were not felt with Gascoigne Pees.

Deposit: I rented an apartment for over 1.5 years (small studio flat), I got it dirty, including the tools left in it, the walls were unpainted, full of dust and paint smeared on door frames, doors, etc. I gave away the apartment, which was very clean and practically ready for rent. For this, my deposit was charged with enormous amounts that are far from reality. The cost of painting was £600, cleaning £180 etc. for a studio flat which was beautifully cleaned. Even on the report they could not distinguish the pink cube in the water in the toilet that cleans from the scale in the water from the scale in the water. I consider it extortion and fraud. Unprofessional team and lack of trust in this company including the deposit management company.

This company are very disappointing to deal with. They are extremely difficult to get hold of and when you do finally get a response that response is brief and lacks the professional knowledge you would hope for when spending large amounts of money through them.

Extremely unprofessional estate agency - south west London area. I literally felt harassed on the telephone to provide my email and phone number when I was only enquiring about a property, not even trying to view it. It was a man on the other end and he made me feel very uneasy. I will not be looking at properties with them ever since they would have my home address too. It's an appalling industry.

Trustpilotappalling and disgusting treatment for our property
We have a listing with this company who has been professional and friendly up to the point of customer visits to our property.We have a carpeted flat and both the agent and the customer did not remove their shoes when showing the flat. What makes me furious was that on the day of the visit it was raining and muddy and yet there was NO consideration shown in removing shoes to access the property.We complained to the branch manager Michael White who apologised and I've just had a 2nd visit from another customer and again NO SHOES removed on access and guess what's going on outside right now.Storm Ciaran.So if my property was going to receive 20 visits, what condition are my carpets going to be in after?Absolutely disgusting and appalling service, it is common courtesy to be considerate of another family's home and yet none was shown and not only that, after having already complained once already you neglect to follow up on it.Undecided yet what to do as I was unable to reach the branch manager.

Warning! Fraud! Avoid buying uniforms from this company - at all costs. The company would not refund me - for a product that they never confirmed was ordered, but for which I was charged (I tried to check out, and apparently it worked, although no confirmation was issued). I had to follow up three times asking for a refund, as they did not send the items. Only after I threatened to file a complaint did they take action.The customer service agent, Sarah, made up many stories - about the order being confirmed, about refunding me in 7-10 days, etc. She never apologized. Instead, she responded with excuse after excuse. I'm confident they will make up some stories in response to my complaint. ;) Can't wait to see what she says next! Another excuse!

Within the 12 week period I only had 3 viewings with no offers, so I decided to sale my property with Gascogne Pees. After 2 weeks and 3 viewings I received an offer of asking price. Very happy with their professional service, highly recommend

The agency was very helpful, they have provided us with all the information we needed. The agents we were dealing with got back to us very quickly with any queries we had (Jemma & Ben). The whole process of moving in has been very smooth and easy, could not have asked for anything more.
