When a property management company can’t communicate internally, everyone suffers, landlords, tenants, and the property itself. The incompetence I’ve just experienced is unbelievable. Avoid agencies that can’t even coordinate with their own teams. And not even an apology! -5 stars!

GoogleSelling a shared ownership house. Did not achieve the RICS asking price and kept suggesting the price should be reduced. Fees are high.....and cost me about 5% of my receipts from the sale. Over 14 months from confirmed sale to completion, they buyer having used a solicitor recommended by Brown & Merry who turned out to be inefficient, unreliable, and turned over at least 6 fee-earners before finally completing the sale.

Excellent dealings so far with B&M BERKHAMSTED. Our house went on the market 4 weeks before CoVid 19 lockdown, Amir and his team have kept me updated throughout the last few weeks and have delivered high quality viewings. We have already accepted an offer only one week after viewing restrictions were lifted. Harry and Bobi also deserve a mention super professional and a joy to work with.

Trustpilot2nd time with dealing with the Newport…
2nd time with dealing with the Newport Pagnell branch and i can honestly say the service has been excellent.Initially dealing with Matt the manager and then Lydia, i found her really pro active and great to deal with and that's coming from a self confessed control freak, so i have a tendency to micro manage the process but wasn't necessary. The sale hasn't exchanged or completed so this isn't an after glow relief review but if it fails it certainly won't be the fault of the agents.

GoogleThe buying process took longer than I anticipated, however, Rich and Matt's professional approach took a lot of pressure off me. When I first started viewing properties around Newport Pagnell, Rich was very knowledeagble about the property and made my life easier. Rich was very responsive to emails and actively engaged throughout the buying process. I wholeheartedly recommend their service.

I am unfortunate enough to have Brown and Merrys letting tenants as my neighbours. For over a year they have been making my life a misery with noise , aggression , anti social behaviour, shouting , down slamming and arguments on a daily basis. I have no peace and no quiet and absolutely no support from the lettings agents. They do nothing and they appear to value the measly 10-11% of a 2 bed rent in tring (£100 tops ) above any owner. Perhaps they are as intimidated by the tenant as others in my road are but it is their job to deal with nuisance noise and breaches of tenancy. They do nothing and rarely acknowledge my emails. I’m a pretty easy going human but this is so irresponsible to others that Brown and Merry get 1 star ONLY because I have to give it to them. Beware moving into any property , as owner or tenant , that has any Brown and Merry tenants nearby that could impact your life. Exercise caution if they are involved as they truly care about no one but their commission. I’m disgusted.

GoogleVery good customer care. Very good and thorough presentation of knowledge and information about the products that the agency has on offer. Even if you are dealing with the loan offer process for the first time, Mick will explain slowly and thoroughly with patience and understanding the language barrier. Patience, willingness to help and accuracy, and at the same time a very nice atmosphere only encourages cooperation. My transaction process has just started and I know that everything will be successful. I recommend.

GoogleI would recommend Brown and Merry estate agents. From start to finish, they kept me up to date with the progress of my purchase. Chasing up the solicitors and the vendors. I had to visit the property on several occasions, Brown and Merry were always helpful and always turned up to grant me access to the house. On completion date, they prepared a gift pack for us, I was not expecting that. I will certainly use them again if I was planning to sell. Thank you guys

Never disappointed in answering queries and arranged a second viewing for us along with the kids, as they wanted to see the house we were buying. Seemed very hands off through the process between sale acceptance and exchange of contracts. Very ineffective at progressing the chain and communicating status. Cited being 'very busy' during this period, but were unwilling to reduce the value of their invoice to reflect the poor service experiencedNegativeResponsiveness

Brown & Merry in Watford started off well in trying to sell my house but tailed off badly. They were enthusiastic and created a good pitch and brochure for our 3 bed semi in Silkmill road,Watford plus an open day . An acceptable offer came in quickly but the sale fell through after 4 months. We felt they did not do enough to monitor its progress and their communication was v poor. After it fell through they did nothing at all to create interest so we terminated their contract. Would not recommend. Rightmove have been far better

TrustpilotAbrasive and agressive sales call to try to get my business
I had a valuation from Brown & Merry and chose to go with another agent to sell my property as I felt B&M plan for selling was very agressive marketing that I didn't want to engage with. Since then I have had multiple calls to try to get my business. The most recent of which I found very uncomfortable; the woman on the call tried to make out I was stupid for not going with them 'I just don't understand why you wouldn't want more viewings and more offers' and then went through my current listing critising it and trying to sell their marketing plan. To finish the call as she would not listen to me saying I did not want to change my current plan of listing I had to tell her that I found her very abrassive and argumentative and no means no!
