Fabulous estate agency

Over 1 1/2 years we tried 3 different estate agents, none of whom proved to be very useful. In despair, we came off the market for 6 months before going back on again with Richard James. They had lots of great ideas about how to promote our fairly unique property. Within 3 weeks we had an offer that we accepted and two other families who were keen to buy. Fantastic! We exchanged 2 months later and completed a few weeks after that. Richard James, under the auspices of Jade, even made that aspect of the process very simple. We were incredibly impressed. Our particular thanks though go to Ellis-Rose Wigley who was wonderful.

We viewed a property last year and…

We viewed a property last year and travelled a considerable distance to do so. The agents knew absolutely nothing about the property other than knowing which room was the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. We put an offer in a which was accepted and spent almost £900 on a comprehensive survey. The property came with zero planning permission despite already having another building attached to it. It had asbestos, and basically was rotten from the ground up and even underground! We pulled out of the sale and then Richard James agent actually asked us to share the findings with them free of charge. I felt like the whole process wasted our time. The property is still being marketed and there is no mention whatsoever of the actual hell hole it is. The agent was incredibly rude, and unhelpful. Stop advertising properties incorrectly and wasting people's time and money.
