We have been in our home for almost a year now and have had only very minor issues. Far less than expected and Avant customer services have been great at ensuring these have been dealt with. Some items took a little longer than expected due to covid but with this in mind, the level of service has been excellent.Our home is attractive, warm and very modern which is exactly what we wanted in a new property.

UPDATED**Avant have removed other reviews from other buyers in the estate, so this score is not a fair representation of their actual trust pilot score, also quite obvious write their own positive reviews.**This companies ethics are horrendous. Do not complete your review until all work is completed if you are un lucky enough to buy with them. You will not get the work finished. I have been told that many lies my head is spinning. They have now sold half of my street to a housing association, while promising me this wasn’t going to happen. After everyone, from the site manager to the sales team lied to me about this when they couldn’t lie anymore I was just told “sorry you feel this way” and “Feel free to take legal action”. Be very very careful.

As you will be aware, the Government’s strategy for tackling the current housing crisis is through encouraging wider participation in home ownership through the provision of quality affordable housing on new development sites. Avant Homes, like all other housebuilders, work with affordable housing providers who are interested in investing in new affordable homes in the areas in which we are building, to increase the availability of good quality affordable homes for families who are simply, without assistance, unable to get onto the property ladder or able to access suitable family accommodation. It was not until some months after you purchased your property from us last year that we agreed to sell 11 additional affordable homes to Believe Housing. This sale has only just completed and it means that no site manager or sales staff would have known about the social housing plots when you spoke to them during the sales process.It is Trustpilot and not Avant Homes that removes content from the Trustpilot website. In line with the Trustpilot website terms and conditions, they have the ability to remove fabricated reviews from people who claim to be customers, but who have, in fact never had any dealings with the Company, which we understand is the basis on which certain reviews have been taken down recently. If you do not want your experience of buying a new home ruining, DO NOT buy from Avant. I had issues from the very beginning with the Sales team and followed their Complaints Process as advised and detailed on their website and every email was ignored, even from the CEO, great leadership!!!. If the CEO cannot be bothered to respond then what hope do you have of getting any response at all when that is the culture the leader of the business instills.Their response time to emails for snagging is ridiculous and they will do anything they can to not respond.I have been in my house for over 2 years, I love the layout and the area but the build quality and willingness to close out snagging issues is appalling. So much so, the optional extra flooring I chose as an extra has never and is still not fit for purposeA while ago I did leave a 5 star review as their best engineer came knocking on doors with a card explaining if they didn't get 10 5 star reviews they would not get a bonus. The worst company I have ever had to deal with

I booked a viewing online on thursday for Saturday morning to view the Shorebrook at Trinity Fields in Retford, i recevied a confirmation email stating that someone would come back to me to confirm my appointment. - no one did.On saturday morning i called to make the booking, i said that i had booked online and the lady said oh i have not got round to confirming them yet! My request was for 10am, i called at 10am so not sure how i was meant to get to the viewing.We explained that we would like to view the Shorebrook and rearrange to go to Trinity Fields on sunday between 10am and 11am to view the property. The lady explained that the property that we had enquired about had now been sold, but there was another property but this was more expensive, we said that was fine.We arrive at the show office on sunday morning at 10.30am, the lady in the office was on the telephone apologising to someone about brochures that had not been sent out. She welcomed us and we explained who we were and why we had come, she continued to show us the site plan and then explain that she did not have a show home of the Shorebrook to show us, there was on in Sheffield that we could go and see!She said she could show us another 4 bed home, but we said the whole reason for us coming was to view the house that we wanted to buy! we were not impressed with this and explained that she had bascially wasted our time. Why could she have not said on the phone, there was not show home and said that there was on in Sheffield that we could view.We were looking forward to viewing the property and potentially buying it, this has left us feeling that we should give Avant a wide birth, as if you cannot get view properties right imagine what buying one would be like.Therefore we have decided to not take the purchase of a Shorebrook at Trinity Park any further.Kind RegardChris Johnson

If you are researching houses to buy from Avant Homes, think twice, don't buy it. You will be well looked after, you will be in love with the showcase houses but they won't talk about how stressful it is after you move. They don't solve your biggest problems. I'm going into the second year since we got the keys and I'm still waiting for someone to fix a leak in the bathroom. Just as several neighbors have been waiting for repairs for over a year. This is ridiculous.

Lesley the sales person is always friendly, polite, welcoming and helpful, she guided us through the available choices and was supportive throughout. She communicated clearly and effectively with us so that we always new what actions we needed to take and how the build of our new home was progressing. Once we received the keys the onsite team were very good at sorting out a few of the initial problems. Lesley always stops for a chat when she is out and about on the development and always asks if everything is ok. 5 stars for her customer service.

The adviser answered most of our questions and was really helpful.Would like more information on the planned bus service for the estate and whether it will be operational at weekends and later in the evening than the park n ride currently runs. Its a massive plus to buying a property in this area knowing that there will be a regular bus running 7 days a week until late,otherwise it feels a bit isolated and you're a bit stuck.

We had an extremely warm welcome from Julie at the Wilbur Chase development marketing suite. She was very knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of very useful accurate, information in a very professional way. She took the time and trouble to show us around the site and gave us a guided tour of all the available properties. She referred us to the website which contained the most up to date information on the development, and before we had returned home, she emailed us with a resume of our visit and a short precis on each of the houses we discussed. We have all the information we need to make a decision on our future.

Just want to start off by saying that our experience with the Sunderland team has been fantastic. We decided to buy a property on the wellington park site just over a month ago and the service for the turn around has been exceptional especially at this time of year so close to Christmas. I would just like to mention that Louise and Rebecca have gone above and beyond to help us through this sale and to get it turned around in such a short space of time with always being contactable keeping us in the loop with the whole process. This is the first time we have bought a new build and can honestly say I would recommend. Not only have they helped with the sale and paper work they have been very understanding of our situation and made everything that little bit easier going above and beyond to get it all completed. They gave us time to view and attend the property when ever we needed for measurements and visits and made sure we had a walk around with the on site manager to discuss the house to its entirety. They both have worked so hard to find us our dream home and I highly recommend them. They truly are a hard working team. Thank you so much.

We’ve been waiting for 19 months so far now for our property in Leeds after deposit but still not yet ready and was informed by email today that it has to be delayed again until next year by using different excuses so far since last year. We can’t believe that a big developer as Avent Homes is such unreliable and providing such a poor service to their customers. Very disappointing!!!Follow up: They contacted us to explain again on the next day after our comment on Trustpilot but still haven’t received any confirmation of completion. We were told now that they will see if they can solve the problem as soon as possible but not promising and requested if we can delete the comment here.
