A review for our sales advisor Georgia: she was absolutely amazing throughout our journey, from viewing to completion. She was always friendly and professional, greeted us with a smile no matter what, and we feel she went out of her way often to answer any questions and give us weekly updates on the build progress of our home. Her customer service is outstanding and Avant are lucky to have her!

The seals in my upstairs bedroom have came apart from the window. Reported the issue and was told this would fall under minor settlement and fall under home maintenance. When I replied to the email to inform that my neighbour had the same issue prior to me reporting this and my neighbours was fixed, nobody replied to my email so I sent another one which was also ignored. I then decided to phone the office in Stirling and spoke to a lady who said she’d look into this and get back to me, yet again nobody contacted me.Really not happy at the customer service and the answers I’ve been given, especially when my neighbour who had the same issue as me got hers fixed, why is it I was treated differently? Avoid at all cost, they’re not interested in fixing snags once you have the keys to your property.

The experience could be 5 stars, if only they knew how to make a bathroom that works.My bath has been leaking for more than 18 months, and after more than 8 people came to apply silicone and said they fixed it, today again, after a shower, my bathroom is flooding. The walls under the bath are full of mold. My last open complaint was on September 12th and until now I'm waiting for someone to come and fix it.If you are trying to see the positive side, seriously, look more into the complaints as I ignored them when I wanted to buy and now I regret it.

When are you going to acknowledge the disgraceful state you’ve left Babington Quarter in? You’ve sold all the houses and packed up and left without finishing off. A dangerous play park for the children, unfinished areas everywhere, not building to the plans you showed customers, rubbish everywhere due to an overflowing public bin and not fixing dangerous issues that you’ve acknowledged. You fob customers off saying you need to send a plumber to fix guttering and can’t even finish off jobs you’ve started. You can’t even acknowledge complaints in the time frame you promise. If anyone is thinking of buying with Avant, come and take a look at Babington Quarter before you part with your money.

Worst builder iv ever seen sent someone to remove render off grey windows used scourer windows are a mess need repaired like all the build a total mess if your thinking of buying please don’t I’m on barley mow site snd there not selling hundreds viewing none buying on going problem with upvc facias badly installed fire door into garage poor fitting plastering is a total mess painting been done by a 3 year old. Noise through windows boiler plumbed incorrectly so hot water runs hot and cold bad brick work bathroom kitchen snd everything internal nothing like show home cheep taps sinks garage doors arnt insulated floors not level gardens boggy and turf laid badly list goes on for price these houses are totaly and utter rubbish please read reviews and don’t buy radiators are that small house is freezing when questiond about them avant ssid it’s open plan get some doors snd walls put in to make it warmer I told them radiators are getting changed they said that will invalidate my warranty boiler only has 2 year warranty off avant even though they carry a 10 year warranty

No impressed at all… made an appointment for 3.30 arrived 5 minutes early to find a daughter and granddaughter already in with customer salesperson. Reason the gender because the grandfather spoke to me outside as he was babysitting his grandson in the back of his car who was asleep. I eventually got in to the sales showhome about 3.45 but in front of me a car drew up with three females and a young boy, I was sitting in car by this time awaiting on the sales person being done with the walk-in other two females ….. I got out my car and spoke to the lady as I thought they had just rocked up on speck but she told,me they were the family that had just bought the showhome earlier this month and we’re just wanting to have a look around to measure up and take notes for their entry in December ..so they proceeded to go ahead of me and the salesperson “ Sandra” obviously couldn’t take me to show me the plot 305 that I was potentially interested in as obviously this family were still in the showhome/sales home. Eventually she drove up to the plot as it was not near enough to walk, I followed in my car and when we got there I was advised beforehand that access was not allowed as it was still in build and not safe to enter but she would show me plot 305 which was the exact same and available but she had brought the wrong keys!!! So she had to drive back to the office/showhome leaving me standing having a look outside! Eventually she came back certainly within 5 minutes and the weather was dry …although I could have sat in my car but as I say I had a look at outside and around but limited access as haelege fencing didn’t allow for obvious health and safety and being Sunday 8th October no workmen were in site. Even when we got into the plot 305 it was around 4,35 and she was closing at 5pm … it was the quickest walk round I got and no time to take in or ask but a few questions … but totally felt not a valued potential client … so it’s a defo no from me and saved my husband a journey being at home watching rugby on tv to accompany me …dreadful experience…will not be persuing further ….. total wasted time. Avant need to do better in customer relations. Will never recommend !!! What was the point in making an appointment to be sidelined but previous clients overrunning timewise and then for a whole family who had bought showhome that was still being utilised as sales office rocked up and expected to get access no thought about me was given by the salesperson Sandra….who had a bonifida appointment …. Dreadful…..

Annoyed at even having to rate one star, these are the biggest cowboys in existence and anyone buying from them must need their heads looking at - bought old school field at back of my parents property, flooded their house and garden through total excavation of the site causing £30k damage (refer to BBC East Midlands, Notts TV, Nottingham Evening Post for extensive coverage along with many other local publications and involvement from local and now national MPs). Have admitted liability verbally, now denying, rude arrogant and obnoxious to the extreme, deny deny deny, local council even intend to start litigation, making pensioner residents and victims of their criminal damage ill from stress - if this review doesn’t paint a clear picture for you of how much you should take your hard earned money elsewhere then I don’t know what will - send this company down and all who work for it, it’ll be justice well served.

This is the second review I have given on here . Customer services north east are a joke . The so called manager Stacey hasn’t even got the decency to contact you herself.. just passed on from one person to another because they can’t keep staff… probably due to all the complaints!! Did have a lovely lady called Julie helping us but she no longer works for them ?! The issues I have had with my property are disgusting ( I could write a book) and am now being forced in to taking them to court after a shocking email I’ve just received!! PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY A HOUSE FROM THESE PEOPLE !! Once they have your money they don’t care!

Awful company to deal with and unfortunately seems to be getting worse. After three leaking roofs they have eventually agreed to repair felt - think my 5 year old nephew could have done a better job in 5 minutes rather than the 5 months they’ve taken. As mentioned previously they seem to employ sub contractors and sub-sub contractors, therefore no one taking responsibility

She never failed to answer any questions we asked, even if she did not the answer she went out of her way to find someone who did. She has always made us feel welcome and greeted us with a friendly smile - we even got a Christmas card from her on completion which was a lovely personal touch!Couldn’t recommend enough :-)

Although, the site rep was very busy with customers, she acknowledged us. After we had looked at the house styles on the wall she quickly excused herself to ensure we were OK. I mentioned we had received a text about the show home opening and could we take a look. She gave us directions and off we went. Very friendly.Show home was lovely, but probably more suitable for a younger family.

Before proceeding with the sale we were slightly anxious due to the amount of bad reviews they have received. I can honestly say, at Hawthornden, Rosewell, it’s been 5 stars from start to finish. Now we’re in the property there has been minimal snagging, and any issues have been dealt with promptly with excellent communication throughout. Special mention must go out to one of the site managers, Owen, who has gone above and beyond several times since we moved in.

I'm happy with the purchase in Greensward Point, Easingwold. From the very first call to keys provision, Melanie supported us and made the whole process feel like a breeze. She was on top of everything, keeping me in the loop and answering all my questions faster than I could blink. It's not every day you come across someone so dedicated and knowledgeable. The Site Manager addressed the minor issues that were detected during the home demo, and they were fixed in less than 24 hours. I hope the warranty period will also go smoothly. Another kudos goes to Clare, the regional home coordinator, for her guidance and unwavering support.Highly recommend the Avant team, thank you for building our new home! VL

We're are at the early stage of house buying with Avant and so far our experience has been great - the Regional Sales Advisor, Jane, at the Brecks Lane Park development has been really wonderful with us. She's given us a lot of her time - as first time buyers we've had so many questions - and followed up with us via email and check in phone calls which have been really nice. She has been nothing but patient and informative and sent us all the information we've asked for and more as well as helping us consider what extras we might want in our potential new home.Looking forward to the next steps and finding out what deals she has been able to negotiate for us before hopefully moving forward!
