I am writing this review to express my utter distaste and disbelief at the customer service I have received from this business. I recently enquired regarding an apartment which had been advertised by your team on Rightmove and which I was very interested in renting. Therefore I called your team immediately to arrange a viewing. I managed to secure the first viewing of the apartment within the earliest time slot. Once this was arranged (as it was days in advance of the viewing appointment) I had time to think it over and didn’t want to take the chance of losing this property so I once again communicated with your team to see whether I could put an offer in without viewing the apartment as I was happy with the photos posted on the site. I was told that it is not possible and that I need to view the apartment first. After viewing the apartment I spoke to your office immediately to put in an offer and I even went over and above the asking price to secure the property. I was told my offer will be put through to the landlord and I would get an answer the following day. The following day, I had heard nothing, no communication whatsoever so once again I rang your office around midday to ask for an update. I was told the person dealing with it was not in that morning which is why there is a delay but he would get back to me in the afternoon. There was still no communication. I called the office again at around 3:30pm for an update after the flat status had miraculously changed to ‘let agreed’ online. I was then informed that the status was updated to stop further enquiries but they’ve not come to a decision yet but someone will call me back by the end of day (6pm). I can’t help but think that this is not true as every time I communicated it seemed like I was bothering them and was an inconvenience asking for an update on my offer when I was promised a call that day. All I wanted was an update! Fast forward to 5:30pm I call again and was told that a message has been passed for someone to call me back urgently before 6pm. I didn’t receive any call, as expected. The following morning I hoped someone would get back to me first thing having passed the message the following evening… but no call once again. I then called up at 10:45am to be told “We’ve just taken a holding deposit and unfortunately the landlord did not choose you. We were actually about to call you right now!” (Hmm, sure). I wasn’t given any other information and the lady on the phone rushed to end the call but said they would call me back if anything changes. In my humble opinion, they had already earmarked this property for somebody else prior to the viewings. After having to call up 4 times for an update I don’t believe anyone will contact me. I have provided my phone number and email also but I seem to be ignored. I work in a very similar industry and I understand things can get busy, however ignoring someone for over 24 hours and then to be bluntly told their application did not go through is quite rude and disrespectful. Total waste of time and terrible communication. Avoid this letting agency at all costs.

Very happy with the way Paul and team at Henry Adams, Haywards Heath, handled my sale. There was a long lead-up towards contract exchange (Covid-related market conditions hindering my search) at which point my buyers backed out, but the firm quickly found me a new buyer, enabling me to follow through with my dream purchase. I chose Henry Adams (to advertise and facilitate the sale of my one bed flat) on the back of positive feedback I had seen, and they did not disappoint. Selling the property was a long journey but the support and guidance I had from the beginning (advertising and managing viewings) to the latter conveyancing stages and completion (once the buyer had been identified) from the Haywards Heath team was always very helpful and professional, and made it easier for me to understand what to expect. At times the conveyancing stage proved to be more complex than expected, but the team were always able to act and facilitate regularly and know exactly when things needed escalating, and keep me informed. Thanks to everyone who played a part but a particular shout out to Paul who spent a large majority of the time overseeing my case. I would definitely recommend!

This was not a positive experience for us. Although communication was polite, there was no real assessment of our situation. After explaining that I have rented the same property for over 15 years with a perfect payment history, the focus was placed almost entirely on rigid criteria such as requiring a UK guarantor or 6, 12 months’ rent upfront. As a result, there was no realistic way to proceed, despite our long-term stability and full-time employment. While I continue to receive automated property listings, there was no meaningful support or willingness to consider our circumstances on an individual basis at the time we actively needed help. This approach may work for applicants who fit a very narrow profile, but for long-term, reliable tenants with real-life situations, it felt inflexible and discouraging.

They were great when moving in but when it came to moving out tried to make outrageous claims from the deposit and then quickly backed down when it went to dispute. Take lots of photos and evidence would be my advice!!!! Also left us 5 days with water coming through the ceiling!!
