I originally listed my flat in Colliers Wood with another local agent. They weren’t able to get the right buyers in to view it, so I approached Foxtons in Wimbledon needing help. It turned out to be the best possible move. Andrea and his team were amazing. The number of viewings shot up, and it didn’t take long for offers to come in. I accepted one after a bidding war, and the sales process started. Andrea guided me step by step through each stage, making me feel at ease, as this was the first property I had sold. Throughout the sale, I was anxious that the property was empty, and my rental income had ceased after my tenants moved out. I was quickly put intouch with the lettings team, where upon they filled the flat with some short term tenants, followed by some longer term ones (who had the option of staying in the property after the property changed hands). This regular income was invaluable throughout the sale process, plus it was fully managed by Foxtons, and turned out to be stress free. I can’t thank them enough, and I highly recommend using Foxtons in Wimbledon. I originally bought the flat from Foxtons many years ago, so it was fitting that they were able to sell it for me. Great work. Thanks again to you all.

Tenants beware! Very nice and friendly at the start but were unresponsive, unprofessional and threatening once the offer agreed/contract entered into. Landlady (who was lovely) was made to go through hoops to get our deposit repaid as they delayed it so much.

I feel that the experience was negative

I put my flat up for sale with my Foxtons, I was going to go with another agent but they were very pushy and said how they managed to sell better than anyone so I went with them. I was under the impression my flat would go straight up but after I signed the contract it took them 2 weeks to take photos and put them up, in the meantime they put up a video of the flat from a mid-term inspection where it looked absolutely disgusting. I had never seen this video and I don't see why it would be allowed to be put up without my permission, I asked for it to be removed, they didn't and it took them nearly the 2 weeks to remove it. The photos they took were adequate but not particularly great, I was pretty disappointed. I felt that the price was extremely over inflated (like all their prices) but respected they knew better than me, but when every single person gave feedback that it was way overpriced and no one showed any interest I became quite embarrassed. I found it very hard to contact my sales agent and just gave up most times after leaving numerous messages. I heard from my agent 10 times more before I signed with them than I did during my contract. When I gave notice 28 days before the end after having no interest, I was reminded how they are the number one and warned that going to another agent would not solve the issue. Their commission is so much more than everyone else but I feel my experience with their sales agent was extremely poor and I can't believe I had no interest in my nice flat. I feel I made a mistake going with them and would caution anyone thinking of them. Also I rented my flat with them for nearly 2 decades and my last tenant emailed them notice which they said they did not receive until the next day so they extended the end date to one day beyond the end of the month, they then charged me a management fee of £9 for the one day (and she paid £1 something rent for that one day). I will never rent with them again due to the complete lack of transparency with regards to money. (As for the excuse that the housing market is quiet I put my other property up for sale at the same time and it sold within 2 weeks, but then again the photos were really good and the price was reasonable).

Do not rent through Foxtons

If you are a renter, please do not use Foxtons. They are a scammy horrible company that only serves the interests of the landlord. They rented us an overpriced disgusting dump by using old out-of-date photos in the rental ad, and locked us into an abusively restrictive contract that made it impossible to leave the horrible dump that ruined my mental health. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these money hungry scammers.

I had spoke with one agent (I dont remember his name) from Foxton Wimbledon office and he was very demanding that we compromise our choices in order to find something appropriate by our taste. I was a bit upset as I liked what they offer but he was very pushy we compromise rent or location. Did not want to show us what we asked for. Saying it was not convenient for us.. I hang up. After that I did an enquiry for one of the properties I liked and Martin ( Foxton Wimbledon office) was the one that follow up. He had very professional approach. Listen to our demands and manage to fulfil all of them for good value of property, location and budged. Our agent was Martin from Foxton Wimbledon. He was very understanding of what we were looking for. He had many options to offer based on what we asked. Always kept in touch and making sure everything goes smoothly. I highly recommend him. Having issues moving in to another property (through another Lettings Agency) I went to Foxtons for help in finding a new propert to let and I was contacted by Omar El-Sebai. In a tough market with a low supply of properties at the time, Omar was able to help me find the perfect flat to let with an immediate move-in date of less than a week which saved me a lot of money on hotels.
