Foxtons wrongly extended our tenancy end date then withheld our deposit on non payment of rent grounds. Even after acknowledging their 'error' it took 2 months for them to correct it. The money was only returned after a letter before action for a small claims court was sent. Other customers are advised to exercise extreme caution with how deposits are safeguarded.

I was spoken to quite rudely on the phone with agents pushing for an earlier viewing or just scheduling a viewing without asking for availabilities. I have told agents multiple times to stop calling me but this was not heard. I even removed my information from the portal and noted that I am no longer looking for a property. I still receive 3-4 calls a day whilst informing them that I do not want to rent through them.

TrustpilotFoxtons Letting Commission…
Just to share my experience and warn anybody thinking of using Foxtons letting services. Foxtons will be vey happy to take full year commission in advance but if your tenant moves out before the full year period, Foxtons will not refund your commission in cash but just leave the amount as a credit in your account even you no longer have the intention to rent out your property. Area director of Foxtons claimed that this is in line with Foxtons terms of business. Beware before you choose Foxtons letting services.

GoogleWe had the pleasure of working with Wills Wyatt from Foxtons Wimbledon while searching for a property, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Wills was exceptionally professional, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping us find the perfect home. He listened carefully to what we were looking for and consistently presented properties that matched our criteria.
Throughout the process, Wills was proactive and responsive, always keeping us informed and going above and beyond to make the entire experience smooth and stress-free. His knowledge of the local market and his friendly, enthusiastic approach made a world of difference.
If you’re looking for an estate agent who truly cares and delivers outstanding service, we wholeheartedly recommend Wills Wyatt. Thank you, Wills, for all the hard work and dedication.

I truly do not understand who in their right mind has ever rated Foxtons 5 stars. Unfortunately I have been in contact with them at multiple occasions but I am happy to say that today was the last. They arrange viewings for properties that has already been let, WHY not cancel if anything happened between the time of booking and the viewing actually taking place. This seems to be a common occurrence for Foxtons. Other than that, the agents are the rudest human beings I have ever spoken to. Surely I’ve not been unfortunate enough to have come across the ONLY employees at Foxtons that hate their jobs so this seems to be a big issue over there. When calling it seems as though you just ruined their entire day. I’m SORRY I was interested in the properties you have listed, that by the way isn’t even available. If calls like these are a displeasure to the agents I would suggest removing the ads.

GoogleAll in all a good and positive experience purchasing my first home through Foxtons Wimbledon. Quick and helpful responses to my queries and plenty of touching base to make sure things were progressing in the right direction. Felt well supported especially as this was a brand new experience for me. Thanks to Sofia for helping me get to the finish line!

TrustpilotIncompetence and lies on a legendary scale!
I had my property up for sale with Foxtons, an offer collapsed, and so I decided to consider rental. After I spoke to the rental department, they took a renter into my property without my permission, hadn't even signed a contract. Luckily, the person liked it and offered a good rent. The agent lied to the renter and me, messed up three contracts, so by the time he signed the fourth contract on my behalf, the renter had been in my flat for 10 days. Lucky he signed! He told me that I could not protect the deposit...lie. He told me that the second 6-month rent payment would be paid on the fourth month...lie. And it was not paid in advance on the 5th month like every other agent; the tenant is now late with the second 6-month payment. I complained to the manager, but he ignored my complaints. The whole office is corrupt. Really, do yourself a favour, there are good letting agents out there, Foxtons is not one of them.

We were tenants in a property Sarah Kelsey managed, and were very grateful for her attentiveness and friendliness. If there was ever any issues with the property Sarah was quick to action them and they were resolved very quickly.

GoogleFoxtons have just sold my Southfields, SW19 Studio flat and I can honestly recommend them highly. Sofia Whiter and Charlie Jenkins were the two key people I had contact with and they were both fantastically efficient and incredibly prompt in all their actions and responses to me. I asked for the sale to be completed within six weeks of the offer being accepted and this was achieved, in large part thanks to the diligence of both Sofia and Charlie who never took their feet off the pedals! Foxtons do charge a bit more than other agents but they achieved a higher price for my property than other agents had suggested it would sell for, and the service I received from them was worth every penny. In a rather stagnant market Foxtons managed to get a decent amount of people through the door to view the flat which led to my receiving an offer within three months of putting it on the market - and all this during a time of uncertainty with an election and a new government. I would certainly use Foxtons again when selling another property.

GoogleUnfortunately we've had consistent issues with Foxtons, and couldn't recommend them to anyone.
There is a lack of communication, unprofessional members of staff (just had a very rude phone call) and at this point Foxtons are breaking their own terms in returning our deposit. We were good tenants, obeyed all requirements and left the tenancy in a good way and we are rewarded with nearly a month on not having received our deposit. This is just one issue of many.
When leaving the tenancy we had many viewings booked at as little as 30 minutes notice, and when showing new tenants round there was consistent misinformation given (that the tenancy has parking, or bike storage, or even a roof terrace!). We corrected agents many times but the same misinformation was given repeatedly. It's a consistent issue as we were given the same misinformation when we first rented the place, and only discovered the reality when moving in.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

TrustpilotNew X Foxtons is appalling
New Cross Gate letting office is appalling. I had a misfortune to invite them a few years back for valuation and then when changed my mind, asked them to delete me from their database as wasn't planning to do anything with my house. And guess what every year I am receiving unsolicited calls inquiring about valuation, letting, selling. They promise to delete my number every time they call once every half a year in average, pathetic.

GoogleI just completed on selling my flat through Charlie Jenkins at the Wimbledon branch of Foxtons. Charlie was proactive and upbeat during the whole process. And he never made me feel pressured to do anything that would compromise my situation.
Due to several reasons beyond our control, the process was slower and more frustrating than it should have been...mainly due to unresponsive and unproactive solicitors. Charlie did so much extra leg work and even knew when to get his manager, Sofia Whiter involved. As a team, Charlie and Sofia made so many extra phone calls and wrote emails to prompt and chase people. They made both me and the buyer very confident in the process. Thank you Charlie and Sofia!

TrustpilotFoxtons Estate Agents
My experience with Foxton's has been absolutely fantastic. Lauren always goes over and above to help me find my next home : from arranging multiple viewings to answering my (many!) questions, nothing is too much trouble. I feel very well looked after and I can truly recommend her friendly and professional service.

TrustpilotPriorities are wrong
Foxtons can't seem to answer simple enquiries about a property - for example "how long is the leasehold" or "what are the service charges". Instead their focus is on gaining as much information about the person inquiring as possible. Ie they have more interest in adding to a dataset of potential buyers and marketing themselves than in answering a simple enquiry. I certainly wouldn't sell with them given how they prioritise themselves over the sellers interests..... of course all this is in the guise of "customer service" but it's not really is it? It's blatant marketing and self promotion.

Trustpilotnightmare agents
nightmare agents. do yourself a favour and use a different one. these are the guys who give estates agents their bad name. its been almost 2 months since i completed and they still havent given me the full set of keys or removed furniture as promised. i dealt with jordan at the temple fortune branch and every day he has a new excuse. they dont respond to messages or phone calls and provide a truly awful service. there are plenty of other good agents around who provide a much better service.

GoogleRecently made contact over the past few months to view and secure a rental property.
Was shown a place in Wimbledon by a young enthusiastic and a bit green Estate agent from the Balham branch.
He didn’t call the tenant beforehand and unlocked the door whilst the tenant was still in the property. Fortunately, the tenant wasn’t upset or in a private situation and let us view.
During the offer process there was a clear bidding war type scenario created by Victoria ‘Tor’ Lea. She was condescending, rude and probably made a fictional counter offer to play us off.
She on multiple occasions told us to increase our offer which despite not doing she phoned back 4 times as it still got accepted.
The second interaction which encouraged me to make this post was with ‘Angelina’ at the Wimbledon branch. She told me I would end up homeless or in temporary accommodation if I didn’t compromise whilst raising her voice on the phone.
Generally advise from a place of sincerity, experience with estate agents and renting for over a decade to avoid Foxtons if you don’t want the headache of scaremongering or worse being spoken to like a child.
To Foxtons, please could you address these behaviours with adequate customer service training and refining interpersonal communication skills amongst your workforce.

They take the money and then abandon their landlords. Do not rent a property with these agents as there is no customer support or response. I have had a couple of issues and queries - I have had to ring several times with long wait times and email multiple times for a response, still waiting three weeks later. They never reply or respond costing me hours of wasted time and stress.

GoogleLeo was extremely helpful and welcoming in me finding a new property. Although my circumstances changed and I never ended up pursuing a move, he always kept me abreast of new listings and was kind enough to drive me around the area between viewings. I’d recommend requesting to speak to Leo personally.
