I can’t even write how disappointed I feel in the moment. This people make me and my husband feel like we are some kind of not worth human been. The lady on the phone was racist and treated me very disrespectful. We booked viewing on one of their properties. They lie to my husband and let the office called me. They said that the lady is not aloud to take man view the property for safety that okay with me but they know my husband coming because I phoned them and tell them I will not make it.. They didn’t give me right information they was treated me very awful. It is the worst company ever. They made my husband feel very disrespectful and I am very unhappy for it. I never in my life ‭was treated like this.

Disrespectful and deceitful. Protect your mental health and don’t rent through Alan Cooke. I urge you to read the 1 star reviews before making a decision. There seem to be two levels of service - depending on whether you are selling your property or renting. Unfortunately, I was renting and had a horrible experience. As previous people have pointed out, problems were dealt in a snail like manner at the flat I was renting, some never dealt with at all. After a year, I was told that I need to sign another year or vacate. I had a massive issue with the electricity which they refused to deal with. When I asked for help regarding matters that needed to be decided/sorted by the landlord, my emails were either ignored or responded to in a very rude and passive aggressive manner. Not to mention they refused to take a call and/or see me in person at their office in Meanwood. I won’t go into too much detail but I will tell you this. They tried to take money off my deposit, claiming some for repairs that were previously reported and some for cleaning, even though the flat was cleaned to a much better standard that when it was received. I finally went through TDS and an adjudicator and my money was rightfully returned. If you do decide to rent through Alan Cooke against all advice, take photos of check in and check out. Save emails and all evidence you can because they will try and steal your money. Beware of their aggressive relies to reviews. They will lie (I have personally caught them doing that) to protect their brand, while us consumers have nothing to hide.

My four rented properties have been managed by Alan Cooke lettings for over seven years now. They are diligent in ensuring their customers are kept up to date with legislation and that the properties are maintained in line with requirements. The team does not work on a “quick fix” basis but works hard to match the right tenant for the property, with the necessary financial credentials. I would have no qualms in recommending the team to anyone looking to use a letting agent. I lived in Yorkshire originally and have recently relocated to Norfolk so managing my properties through Alan Cooke lettings makes it easy.
