GoogleRenting my house out via Bay after my Dad got cancer and so I had to move in with him to help out! I have never had to rent out my house before but they deal with everything for me - Changed tenants for the first time earlier this year and they found new tenants quickly!

Dear Mr Price, We are disappointed to read your feedback and sorry if you were affronted in any way by our viewing procedure. A good agent will always look to make enquiries to ensure that the viewer is in a position to proceed to a sale. More so in the case of the property you were interested in viewing (St Christophers Court not St Catherines Court). This is because the majority of blocks within the courts are not currently mortgageable until the relevant fire remedial work is carried out and so only a cash purchase would be viable for the moment. If we don’t check for proof of funds, then a sale could collapse, causing loss of time and expense for both buyer and vendor. Our colleague explained this. Another reason is that this particular property is also rented and we have to manage the amount of traffic through the property to help keep tenants covid-safe. That is why we ask our applicants to confirm that they are in a proceedable position or have a property already on the market. For those who have not reached this stage, we have a wide selection of virtual tours available. In light of what we have said, I hope you will reconsider your review as it is a procedure that we follow in the best interest of our clients and customers. I’m sure that when you come to sell your house then you will expect your agent to act accordingly. Naturally, we’d be happy to discuss this further with you in person or by email if you are willing.
