An absolute disaster. Property became inhabitable, was ignored by Keith Hallet for months on end. Eventually had to leave and was ripped off by Wayne Eastman the owner. Absolute joke of a business. Wouldn't wish the experience on my worst enemy. Will ensure nobody I know will ever go to this Fawlty Towers letting agency.

I would like to express my disappointment with the money that THIS agency charges for no reason. They overcharge and they will always find something to charge you for even that you have spent days to clean the house!!

Can't believe I'm saying something good about a letting agent, but these guys are pretty good. Nice staff, and a helpful bunch. When my housemate left the house with the only back door key, leaving it unlocked, one of these guys was out to lock the door within the hour. On a sunday. Would recommend!

They are quick in selling but unprofessional in maintaining the properties. Our flat does not exceed 14-16 degrees in winter by full use of the heating that the landlord provided. No action will be taken by them. If you are thinking renting a property with them be prepared for troubles.

If your a cyclist and want to live in city centre don't use these as they discriminate against cyclists.

Mark · 18 June 2017

Agent replied · 16 June 2024

Good afternoon Mark, Following your recent review on Google and your statement regarding We Let Properties discriminate against cyclists, please allow me to clarify the situation for you as that is not the case. After you placed your offer forward to the letting consultant to take the property, your offer was based on the landlord removing the dining table and chairs so you could place two bicycles in the property in the living area, the landlord considered your offer, however as the landlord has recently upgraded the whole property and repainted the walls and had new carpet fitted throughout he was concerned with the following, the bicycles marking the walls when entering and exiting the property, staining the carpets, the possibility of the oiled parts of the bicycle leaking on the carpet and also in wet weather the bicycle drip drying in the property. As the landlord received three other offers at same time you placed yours forward he rejected your offer purely on the facts that he is not local to remove the dining table and chairs and place into storage or if he disposed of the dining table and chairs he would have to replace it after your tenancy and wanted to avoid this cost and furthermore he would not have to worry about excess wear and tear with your bicycles. I wish you all the best with your search and I would advise you looking for an apartment that has a dedicated bicycle store to accommodate your needs. Please let me know if we can be of further assistance to you in your search for a new apartment. Regards, Wayne Eastman Director

Knowingly this agency refuse to resolve environmental hazards. The boiler in their flat upstairs is faulty causing water leaking profusely from the ceiling of the apartment downstairs. It is happening for last 2 weeks and these people are just ignoring as if nothing has happened. They MUST be BANNED.

Dezastrous experience! Rented a flat that was not previously cleaned. And in the end, even if the flat was better than when we moved in, we had to pay a cleaning company! Every time we needed something we had to wait months and make so many phone calls.

Dreadful company. Appalling service. Only care about ripping customers off.

Charlie · 18 June 2019

Agent replied · 16 June 2024

Good afternoon Charlie, Following your recent review online on 12/11/2018 I can confirm I have looked in to your tenancy and the notes we hold regarding your tenancy file to ascertain why you feel this way and clarify the situation. Looking into your tenancy I can see it ended on 26/03/2017 and that you and your co tenant had a deduction made against your deposit which it appears you were extremely unhappy with. From our experience, tenants are always anxious on approach of the end of a tenancy as they are keen to obtain their full deposit back, therefore at We Let Properties we designed a Property Checkout Information document which we send to all our tenants upon receipt of notice. This was sent to you and your co tenant on 14/02/2017 outlining your obligations as a tenant, along with an End Of Tenancy Checklist to provide you with guidelines and transparency of what we would be looking for at the checkout appointment. At the checkout appointment we take along the ingoing photographic and written inventory to make a comparison and unfortunately the property was not found to be in the same condition as per the ingoing inventory, therefore we had to make a deduction against the deposit to rectify the issues you left us with at the end of your tenancy. As you are aware, because your deposit was held with the Deposit Protection Service, you were able to exercise your right as a tenant to dispute our claim and have an independent adjudicator from the Deposit Protection Service review the case. The independent adjudicator subsequently reviewed all the evidence submitted by yourselves and We Let Properties and upon review of the facts they agreed that the claim was substantiated and the full disputed amount of £162.00 was awarded in our favour. Please rest assured that as per the invoices provided, the deduction awarded to We Let Properties/your landlord was paid directly to the various contractors to rectify the remedial works required. I totally understand that as a tenant a deposit deduction would make you disgruntled but I hope that as the decision made regarding your deposit was upheld by an independent adjudicator you can be satisfied that we did not make any unfounded claims. I wish you all the best for the future, Kind Regards, Wayne Eastman Director

Best avoided

They'll find you a tenant pretty much anyone is considered, thereafter communication is poor and their paperwork ( apart from collecting their fees) is the worst I've ever experienced in my 10 years of letting properties.
