Avoid at all costs

Impossible to contact (even before lockdown) and will skrew you over.I agreed to a house with UK rooms for rent. this was a big mistake. Dispite paying the holding deposit and asking 3 times (after much effort at trying to get hold of them) they would not send me written proof that i had secured the house. Next lockdown hit and they kindly agreed to allow me to move in once restrictions lifted slightly. However just as restrictions lifted I got a phone call saying that they want it to be students only by the end of august! (basicly meaning that i could not move in!) They seemed very defensive when i explained that they had completely skrewed me over. They eventually agreed to give me back my holding deposit, however this was extreemly difficult due to hiow hard it is to contact them. In regards to contacting them i was eventually told that there is one phone shared by two people and when both of them are away (most of the time) there is no method of contacting UK rooms for rent at all! They apparently also do not check their voicemail or inbox. The main sucsess i had was asking the person who showed me the flat (who works for an external company) to pressure her contact at UK rooms to rent to contact me! Utter shambols!

They are well organised and always on top of liaising with their tenants, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Particular thanks to Mike for making my first year renting as easy as possible and for being an obliging property manager.

I have rented with UK rooms for rent for just over a year now and have found that they deliver high standards of properties. The rooms are always neat and nicely decorated. I'm especially pleased with my new ensuite room and have found that the team from UK rooms for rent to be professional. I usually email Mike boardman who I find to be polite, efficient and always offers a solution to any queries put forward in a timely manner.

Unprofessional, rude staff, avoid UK Rooms for Rent

Extremely disappointing experience with UK Rooms for Rent. The staff's rudeness and consistent avoidance of query phone calls demonstrated a complete lack of customer service. Moreover, the failure to carry out necessary repairs and attempting to charge me for pre-existing issues was both unprofessional and unfair. The attempt to deduct from my deposit through hidden charges added another layer of frustration and unprofessionalism. Overall, my experience with UK Rooms for Rent was negative, and I would caution others considering their services.

UK Rooms Manchester

Rented a room in a student house for a year and this is probably the worst renting experience of my life. My own room was awful from day 1. Constant mould issues throughout the whole year. Things in the house constantly breaking and it was difficult to get a hold of anyone to get it fixed. I had a broken shower for 3 months before anyone did anything to fix it. Email after email and getting no response. Then being told to use the app to report issues but once again there was hardly ever a response. Even had a mouse issue at one point. Multiple outside contractors for the house even commented on how bad it was. I was told my bedroom used to be a kitchen, so the mains water supply had been sealed up in there to turn it into a room, making it difficult to fix the constant water issues. Never had any contact with the landlord, everything through the agency but they had to go through the landlord to approve anything. Landlord seemed to be doing anbuthi to avoid spending money on an house that was literally falling apart. Avoid renting with this company in Manchester!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Our house is now infested with rats due to their ignorance of multiple tenants complaints, they weren’t passing anything onto the landlord and simply tell us ‘it’s not their problem’, had they actually sent someone to conduct an inspection last year someone might have seen the holes in the house which the rats have used to get into the walls. Or had they acted (sending a polite message asking people to recycle is not action) when we have complained about inadequate waste disposal from other tenants for months, perhaps we wouldn’t be living with vermin. Despite multiple complaints from multiple tenants no issues have been resolved, not a single issue raised has been resolved, yet when we speak to the landlord directly he is on it straight away. The gross negligence from this company is astounding, should one of these rats decide to chew on a tasty wire and start a fire in the house we could all burn to death, this has been raised and I was told to email an account which has previously ignored our complaints, despite telling us to use the app to log issues… None of them know how to do their job properly, it’s actually astounding that the company is still going - please read the other google reviews this is a terrible agency and the company do not relay any information we send, including rats which causes property damage for the landlord, don’t let them manage your property and don’t rent with them directly. I think that we’re lucky in the fact that we can contact our landlord directly who has acted swiftly, if i could leave 0 stars I would.

Nobody cares about any complaints raised. You call and any promises made to attend to maintenance issues,there’s no follow up. We have no power for over 2 weeks now,it was a leak from a bathroom that needed to be sorted..somebody comes disconnected power,didn’t repair the bathroom No communication from this people. This is a horrible company

This is a horrible company. A year in after termination and we still have not been provided with all the statements. We are finding they have not completed their obligation with tenant move in and move out. They don’t respond to request for this information and the director is trying to get as much money from you as possible while having as little services provided. AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR PROPERTY AND BUSINESS.
