GoogleMy partner and I rented an apartment through Gascoigne Halman from late 2023 - early 2024 and did not have a great experience: 1. We were given the wrong set of keys twice. I asked Laura Harrison if they were the correct keys after finding the first set didn't work and she told me yes, not actually checking until our third attempt to collect our keys. 2. We were given a broken fob for the building. Laura Harrison repeatedly ignored my emails regarding a replacement, so we ended up paying out of pocket for a new one from the building management company. Our requests for access codes to the building were also ignored. 3. The property was in very good condition but needed some repairs from the start of our tenancy. Laura did not give us an inventory report when we moved in, despite saying we would receive one, so we emailed her about the repairs needed. These emails were also ignored and not single repair was completed during our tenancy. Ultimately, we barely heard from Gascoigne Halman until Laura called to tell us the landlord wanted to sell the place and we needed to leave at the end of our tenancy. And, to top it all off, after we had moved out, Gascoigne Halman tried to charge us for not leaving the property in the conditon outlined in the inventory report they did not provide us with (we had cleaned the property before leaving too). The lack of responsiveness to our queries was very disappointing and gave the impression that Gascoigne Halman did not care about our experience as tenants. Would not recommend.

GoogleAndrea handled recent House Purchase very professionally, was always contactable (usually calling back around 5pm the same day) and was hugely helpful communicating with the sitting tenants, sellers and sellers solicitors. Very understanding on the fact that I couldn't view the property before making an offer and was only able to send a friend round. Highly recommend and hope if I ever go through a house purchase again that Andrea is the estate agent involved.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

The sale of my house took place during very difficult circumstances as the U.K. AND ISLE Of MAN were in lock down during different periods during the sale process .I couldn’t visit the property. The property had been rented with Gascoigne Halman for 12 Year before I sold it . The asking price was set at a good level the brochure was produced in a couple of daysand the sale proceeded well .The first buyers who bought the house within days they couldn’t get the mortgage they needed so the house went back on the market and sold again within a relatively short period of time in 5 months Oct to March the whole process was completed.I was kept up to date with emails and phone calls every time there was a viewingI had dealings with mainly one sales person James but when he was off others kept me informed Sue the sales secretary was also good at answering queries connected with the sales process. As I was at a distance I used a solicitor recommended by GH and was pleased with there services I also used an insurance company that was local.During the cold spell when prospective buyers visited James made sue the house was warm enough to prevent issues with burst pipes I was also alerted to problems with the loft door and garage door and was then able to use GH property maintenance to solve several issues.I think James gave the sale a personal touchFor me the all round service GH provided was very helpful in difficult working circumstances .I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend them

GoogleJames was professional, but also personable with his approach and pitch. Excellent photographer on top to showcase your house at the best it can be. Highly recommended and you can see they 'gauge the market' in the best insight of knowledge, as you hardly see them reducing price on properties unlike other agencies at the moment in the M20 postcode! :-)

Frances Mason used our family to pump up other offers for the seller. She confirmed after a long and arduous process we'd had our offer accepted. She then encouraged the vendor and buyers carry on viewings in our opinion to gazump us. She knowing didn't send out a memorandum of sale to us for 5 days whilst getting other parties to outbid us. After we paid for searches etc Frances informed us someone had come in with another bid.......from there played us off as an auction for bidding. Then told us we didn't get the house. The next day it was put as STC for the other buyer. Something she refused to do for us in 5 days. She openly admitted on the phone she knew of another bid hence when she didn't do the memorandum of sale.She let us pay for searches while using us a pawn. It was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with any kind of company. There was no remorse and I don't know how she sleeps at night for a little but extra of commission.Openly trying to get improved offers and more viewing whilst sending us acceptance confirmation and letting us pay fees is a very very underhanded trick.

What went wrong? Well I was advised by this agency that the property had come off the market once my holding deposit was paid. Upon submitting my credentials for referencing which was with let alliance, I was advised by "Charlotte" a representative at Gascoigne Halman that the landlord has gone with another offer and would rather refund my holding deposit then proceed with my application. Honestly Disappointed with the service provided by this agency. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING WITH THIS AGENCY
