We are extremely pleased with the service received from Express Estate Agency. They have achieved everything they said they would and more importantly within the time allocated. 4 weeks on the market and sold for the price we wanted.Our point of Contact at Express Mr Carmine Soldano has been a great help he is polite, friendly, efficient and always available. I would recommend both to anyone having difficulty selling their home through a local estate agent as we were prior to appointing Express Estate Agency.

One of the worst experiences of my life…

One of the worst experiences of my life first spoke to Chantelle she was very professional talked a lot about communication was key. When the house went on the market had a phone call off a gentleman call Joshua then it all fell apart I could tell he didn’t like me and the feeling was mutual he asked what price I wanted for my house I told him everyone that came to the house thought I would sell for less and then started the made up viewers who never turned up. Very disappointed with the service

Offer was confirmed in one day

Viewing was booked online. Viewing timing was reminded on the day and before. After viewing, l submitted an offer online. The next day l received a call from Richard Brogen who negotiated the house price for us and we got our offer accepted on the same day. Then we provided lD identification proof and financial funding the next day. So, the purchase experience is smooth and quick at the moment.

Terrible experience

I was purchasing a property and it was by far the worst experience I have had with an estate agency. It is absurdly difficult to get through to their offices, and when you do get through you have to go through a very long-winded process of giving so many details (each and every time). The incompetency of the estate agency certainly delayed the process - for example, my survey was held up for quite some time as the surveyor also had this problem in simply trying to arrange a date with the estate agents - I ended up having to contact the seller directly to get this moving. Rob was my point of contact who was extremely unresponsive to emails, for weeks on end. Shocking customer service - frustrated to the point of nearly pulling out of the purchase.

Timewasters for house-buying

Long story short this company should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for ruining people's lives!My wife and I were looking to sell our house quickly as we'd found a dream house and it was coming up for auction in a month. So we were willing to take a 20% discount to achieve a quick sale. I had a slick video presentation with Scott Owens who came across very well but who pushed using Express just as a normal estate agency. I said that I'd speak to my wife about it and get back to him but it was likely we would use the house buying service. He said that would be fine and made an offer. I spoke to my wife and we decided to accept the offer. I rang to tell Scott and he came on the phone and asked if we would be using them as an estate agency. I said actually we'd like to go ahead and accept the offer you made. He said "No problem" I'll get the ball rolling and send you an email. Well we waited and waited and nothing happened. Bearing in mind that this was supposed to be a 7 day buying process this was concerning. I rang the office and spoke to a lady on the phone, and said I'd like to speak to Scott to see where the house purchase is. I actually heard her say to someone in the background, "Oh Scott I've got one of your clients here". However she then came on and said that Scott was busy but that he would call us. Not at all reassuring but I gave Scott the benefit of the doubt. Needless to say, the call never came. I rang 5 times over the next two weeks to ask what the situation was. I got the same answer every time. He'll call you back and he never did.I simply don't understand why they would make an offer on your house and then dodge you. Why not just be upfront and say that the housebuying scheme is just a marketing ploy. So beware. This is a completely dishonest, untrustworthy company. Avoid!

I’m a buyer, who is already sold, wanting to view a property in Lower Stondon, near Hitchin. The efficiency of this agency and the manner in which they communicate is very very poor. I’ve tried 6 times to get through to confirm an appointment for today, by email twice, and phone 4 times. Nobody is taking responsibility and able to help - how can this be?It’s their job to make the sale frictionless- unfortunately it’s anything but - we are serious buyers.I have no idea if our appointment today is happening!I feel for the sellers having this agent represent them.

Estate agents were excellent

Estate agents were excellent, Lauren Moore was my designated sales progressor. She kept me updated throughout the process either by phone or via the portal which was also really useful. Once you get a direct line they’re easy to get hold of when needed. Would have liked to be shown around the second time by the estate agents rather than neighbours but that’s what happens sometimes with online estate agents. The first viewing was with an estate agent and they were also excellent.

Chole was great before my house went live, now she does not answer her phone or reply to any of my calls, a bit poor really!I am unsure who I now actually speak to in your company about my house I had a viewing on Saturday and I was running 15 minutes late, I rang your office to say I would be late and asked them to let the people viewing my property know that I was going to be late, they said the person dealing with my property was off and they couldn’t contact them and would send an emailI then turned up at my house 15 minutes late to find the viewers standing on my door step still waiting for me, they said that they had called your office to find out ‘where’ I was and you told them you couldn’t get hold of me (ironic isn’t it)Terrible service so far!!!!!!!

I used Express Estate agents (whom I will definitely be recommending) to assist with with purchasing a property.Having had my offer accepted - Lauren Davis acted as my sales progressor.I was informed there would be weekly contact from Lauren who will liaise between the solicitors, seller and myself.Lauren gave me weekly updates right from day 1 until I got my completion date from my solicitor. She ensured any queries from my solicitor was promptly chased up saving a great deal of time.I had an excellent interaction from Lauren who worked hard, professional and ensured there was no delays.Thank you to Lauren and Express estate agent staff for ensuring that everything from my offer until completion was handled superbly.

Totally dishonest company and should be closed down!!!

Having put our house on the market with them (big mistake!) from the initial interview we have been lied to by every contact on the way. Promises made have not materialised. We have a constant battle to get through to them, as they very rarely answer phone calls, ignore text messages and emails. to this day we have had no buyers contact from them and no regular reports as they promised. I asked for the evidential telephone and video recordings to which i was told they did not have. When I told them they had broken the contract and to take the property off the market this was also ignored and after 2 weeks had to chase them again.Also the letter sent through the mail suggesting we should sell our property direct to them for a price between £515,000 and £527,000, turned out to be nearer £285,000. I believe this is miss selling and the company should be investigated by the authorities. Please let this be a warning to others. I do not write bad reviews for the sake of it, i am trying to protect decent honest people out there.

He was honest regards a cash offer and suggested I changed agent should my current agent not get any results soon. Sold house in couple of weeks after being with them, good correspondence and with the way things are at the moment with interest rates I didn't think I was going to sell it, took a loss on it, but it is what it is, Elliott was on the ball fairplay and I got a bit more for it than she offered but she had a bargain, it's a £270000 house but can't keep paying dead money, so thanks to elliot I sold on first vuing so cheers, I would recommend him to anyone

1 Star is being very generous ! Would not consider selling or purchasing with this estate agency, poor costumer service skills from every person I've spoken to. Been requesting the same documents for 5 weeks no response and then avoided when contacted via phone. Booking viewings in without confirming with the seller leading to people turning up for viewings. Stay well away and avoid at all cost. Stay local
