The leaflet that came through the door implied the company would buy the house for a set amount. Turns out it’s just another estate agent with quite high commissions and we had to dump our existing agent. The appointment was on time via video call and the guy was very polite. Misleading leaflet though Always read the small print!!

How do you rate an estate agent? Well it started off well - I was very impressed with their representative who came to see me. He made all the right noises and gave me a leaflet saying they aimed to sell in 30 days - that was on 9th September and we completed 7th February, so not quite what they promised. I never saw or heard from the original guy again - number unavailable. I got the distinct impression that the girls in the office, particularly in "Progressions" department, had no idea how the legal process actually worked. Feedback and follow up was non existent, and sometimes when I called, staff were abrupt to the point of rudeness - I was not allowed to know the name of the manager - if there was one - to complain. All in all poor, tedious, and expensive - would avoid like the plague!

GoogleRidiculous company, all a scam they say they can sell your house within 6 to 8 weeks but they can't. When we asked them to take it off the market they ask for a early pull out contract fee which is a redicilous amount. Really unhappy with this service, we wanted a quick sale due to serious heath conditions. They couldn't sell it so we asked them to take it off the market and was found we had to pay a high pull out fee, which then the company start pestering you for and accusing you of ignoring them. Company built on broken promises, absolute joke.

YellOne of the worst experiences of my life.
One of the worst experiences of my life. Were miss sold right from the start. Advised they would do viewings. They didn't do a single one. This caused us issues as the property was vacant and we no longer lived there. They continually put people through the door that could not afford the property, yet they sell the idea of only getting people through your door that are fully vetted and are in a position to proceed. Utter rubbish. Upon selling the property, they then decided to not stand by their contract and submitted their invoice to our solicitors the day before completion. This all brought further stress in the final few hours of selling our property. In all honesty, I would run a mile. I don't care that 'they' sold the house. Technically we did as they did no viewings, listed it incorrectly, and we constantly were chasing for updates. My advice is run. Just run. We are raising it with the consumer ombudsman it was that poor. This company should be closely monitored.

I was never available for the viewings as i don't live anywhere close to the property but express estate agency made it all possible with the help of a key safe box outside the property and a fantastic presence of potential buyers and Robert always in touch and providing updates.

GoogleI didn’t feel this service justified the commission. Considering you view property yourself , communication was mainly direct with purchaser and express push for price reductions I would have saved thousands of pounds with similar online companies. Reaching express was difficult, spoke over me constantly, didn’t return calls at final stages. I didn’t find them professional or value for money. I have been put off even dealing with them to purchase as I have now been on the other side as a seller although I am sure they would be good to reduce asking prices but a direct number to seller would be essential given the abrasive calls and lack of urgency. Anyway, lesson learned and a few thousand pounds lighter!

Had a terrible experience with Marie Rudd. As first time buyers she made the experience 100x more stressful than it needed to be, would expect more from someone with experience. Luckily bought through another estate agent's who made sure to ease & quicken the process properly.
