GoogleThis was my very first time managing the entire rental process from start to finish, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Amy Noteman was fantastic, so patient and understanding, taking the time to explain every step clearly and helping me feel at ease about the whole process.
She was professional and always quick to respond whenever I had a question. It was clear that she genuinely cared about making sure everything went as smoothly as possible.
I can’t thank Amy enough for all her help

GoogleIf I could give this business zero stars, I would. Poor customer service, blatant lies about the flat being refurbished and an astronomically slow response time in getting issues in the flat fixed.
The flat we were moved into that was promised to be refurbished before moving in but it was in a completely disgusting state. Taking advantage of the covid situation by not letting us physically look around the flat prior to moving in and only providing a video tour. The flat was barely cleaned, there was missing lightbulbs, decayed furniture, mould and pigeon faeces covering balcony. How does a letting agent let all these problems slip through the net? Its either greed to get tenants in ASAP or just gross incompetence. I honestly don't know which is worse.
To top this all off Bridgford knowingly let us move into a flat with dangerous electricity. Without us alerting them to the problem they'd have never fixed this. Just absolutely disgusting service.
I implore anybody to avoid them at all cost.
Edit: Bridgford have attempted to have this review removed so here's my repost :)NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleI used their in house mortgage advisor Hammad, I didn’t actually buy a house through Bridgfords but that didn’t matter. His communication was amazing, he always had time for us (and I am a big ball of stress!!) he made the process of buying our first house so much easier and we have just exchanged! Thank you so much Hammad, you really are the best.

GoogleGeorge helped me a lot to find a new room for me to move in. He understood that I was in a rush to find a place since I was about to vacate my last room and tried to close the deal as quick as possible. He was both professional and friendly and did everything he could to help. The rest of the staff was just as lovely. A great agency👍

TrustpilotSome things never change - still shoddy
Some things never change. We bought our house through Bridgfords 5 years ago- not a good experience. They don’t answer the phone or answer emails. Today, as we’ve decided to sell the house, I thought to myself "maybe they’ve changed." I’ve called them 4 X, each time being redirected to an answering machine.I’ve emailed them and no reply. A continuation of a shoddy service continues. The 2 other estate agents I’ve contacted have replied more or less straight away and visits have been arranged. I honestly don’t know how Bridgfords survives in the current economic climate.

Trustpilot2 month+ deposit return delay
I rented a property managed by Bridgfords and moved out two months ago. I still have not received my deposit back. Since moving out, I have called and emailed the branch multiple times to follow up. My calls have been hung up on, and my emails have gone unanswered. For an agency that expects tenants to meet strict deadlines and requirements throughout the tenancy, this level of service at the end of the process has been disappointing. I would think carefully before renting through Bridgfords based on this experience.

GoogleThe application process has been quit easy to do, the booking date for viewing the property was according to my feasible time , GEORGIA is really helpful and she would connect all the time via phone and emails and answered my every single queries. Being myself new to England she has helped me a lot by sharing links and important phone numbers for other utilities as well . Thanks Georgia for your assistance .

GoogleAbsolutely wonderful estate agents and all credit to their staff. I have dealt with Grace, Georgia, Briony all wonderful and enthusiastic in the work they do. I purchased a property via Bridgefords and decided to stick with them for my other lettings due to the amazing positive work they have done for me, and no doubt will be in future. This is now my "go-to" Property agents! Many thanks

GoogleI've just (today!) completed on the purchase of a house in Manchester that was put on the market by Bridgfords. The sales negotiator was Ziggi. Both Bridgfords the firm and Ziggi the sales negotiator were outstanding! I was kept informed when necessary and things were chased up when that was helpful. Things were not completely smooth but that was entirely the other side of the transaction. The Bridgfords side was as smooth as can be!! Thank you!!

GoogleRichard and James were extremely helpful throughout the process of buying mine and my partners' first home together. They were accommodating for the arranging of visits, often at short notice, and generally made an expressed effort to be communicative through the process whilst assisting with the chasing-up of solicitors. Insofar as buying a house can be, a relatively stress-free experience which was much appreciated.

TrustpilotDisrespectful and Desperate, Data Breach
We viewed a property and after loving it in person offered a cash offer of asking price their and then.
Within the same hour, I got a call from the agent who shown us round to be told it was going to Auction.
I checked the listing, and it didn't mention auction, but this was updated the next morning.
The estate agent had every opportunity to call us to inform us it was an auction property.
It seems we had a lucky escape since we have found out the property has had two collapsing sales, for such a desirable area and its price point, these are huge red flags.
I called the agency first thing during the morning after our viewing at 9am, to say we aren't interested, we viewed a property to buy not to be told until after viewing it that it was auction, oh and it get's better they tried to make out it was a good deal, yeah a deal that would cost us 4.5% of a minimum of 6.600 in auction fees that we never knew of until afterwards and would never have considered had we of known this information before the viewing.
I said, please don't get anyone to call me, but the auction company called me anyway, I tell them we are not interested. I have since had two more calls from the auction company ( which i understand is a sister style company to this agency ).
I've had to block the number and inform my solicitor of a data protection breach, as I said I did not want to speak to anyone from auction.
Also had a call in desperation from the agency saying oh the price has dropped. " Firstly, no it hasn't because of the fees; secondly, we said we were not interested, why was this not respected.
I have never heard of this agency before we did the viewing and I wouldn't be surprised by the many low reviews; they will be able to continue in business much longer.
Hoping this review grabs their attention because this is what happens when you harass someone.
Don't follow correct and legal protocol and respect people's privacy.

Trustpilotwould not recommend this company to any…
would not recommend this company to any landlord. The fees are extremely high, with additional charges that are not always made clear from the outset. Communication is poor, and it is often very difficult to get hold of staff when you need support or answers.
The contractors they use are also significantly overpriced, leaving landlords with unnecessarily expensive maintenance bills. For the amount charged, the level of service provided is disappointing. Overall, my experience has been frustrating, costly, and poor value for money. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I have to give a special mention to Briony and Georgia, who have been incredibly helpful and understanding throughout this entire process. They are both a shining example of to put people at ease and offer outstanding customer service. Thanks so much Bridgfords and Briony + Georgia!

I had a wonderful tour with Holly from Bridgeford's Stockton Heath. I didn't feel rushed and she was very attentive, patient with all my questions and built a quick rapport with me. She always answered the phone and emails professionally and gave thorough and informative replies, always keeping me in the loop as my application for my new rental progressed through all the stages. TrustpilotThe worst out there
The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Stay away from the burnley branch, good lord, how do they get away with this bs.

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!

GoogleWe have been trying to buy a property for the last year and have dealt with many estate agents. Bridgfords are outstanding - head and shoulders above everyone else. Richard Taylor at Withington was superb - going above and beyond to assist us in the process - right up to completion. The best in Manchester - by a country mile.

Trustpilotignored, patronised and falsely accused
3 months into our tenancy we've experience the following with Bridgfords/Countrywide/Entwistle Green (no, I have no idea why they all take turns to email me or why they have different names if they're basically all the same company):
* being told I had incorrectly logged repair reports online, despite following the printed handout we were given upon arrival to the letter. when I explained this, all I was met with was "the name of the person who gave you this information". I didn't really care about that, I just wanted the repairs done. This employee then ghosted us and never messaged back.
*several issues we reported in our first week STILL have not been addressed, it's a joke.
*it took around a month of emails and phone calls with various other employees just to get somebody to sort our broken boiler and thermostat out; we had no heating all that time and this was when it was still freezing every day.
*we were instructed to order a bin from the local council and pay for the bin ourselves, then minus that fee from our next rent payment. despite being told to do this, Countrywide/Bridgfords sent us a threatening email saying we were in arrears. I replied back saying this was rubbish, only to be ignored for two days. I only got a reply when I sent a follow up saying I would message literally every day until they backed off and apologised. Funnily enough, 5 minutes later, they finally replied.
*it for some reason took a month for them to remove the 'for rent' sign outside. again, as soon as I complained, it magically disappeared shortly after.
*I had to fix a broken kitchen drawer myself within the first month myself because they refused to acknowledge the issue which had been present since day 1.
*customer service is woefully slow. if you want to communicate via email, you get whinged at and pushed towards phone calls, which you then get dumped onto hold for and have patchy reception anyway.
*during those phone calls, I'd be told 'this will happen, the landlord is sorting this', but nothing ever happens.
*we've had 3 - soon to be 4 - visits from a contractor with regards to our bath/shower. how it takes this many call outs to repair one tap is beyond me.
*this latest instance of the contractor coming around has now broken the bath tap, no hot water, the seal is leaking, he's caused some damage to the kitchen and even our front door doesn't shut properly due to some equipment he'd had resting against the door for an hour. What does Bridgfords/Countrywide have to say about this? 'You should have pointed it out due avoid another unnecessary visit to the property'. Yeah okay, i'm so sorry for beinga dumb tenant who refused to let the contractor leave until i'd magically detected various issues around the house and bullied him into fixing them. if we'd arranged for this to take place when out of the house anyway, what would this 'Emily' have said to me then, "you should have stayed at home and not gone to work to prevent another home visit". what nonsense. this woman is on another planet. I have filed a formal report against her because she shouldn't be offering her own opinions. for a supposed professional, her entire email was nasty and sneering.
all in all, incredibly useless company. but I will be happy to update my review with positives if they actually prove they can deliver from now on. We shall see...
