GoogleWell I am not quite sure where to start! Firstly misrepresented property by the agency who denied knowing it was inhabitable.(meaning they hadn't checked it)! Secondly the agency advised landlord to keep my deposit of 1150 pounds because I was moving out earlier through no fault of my own. I had to take samples around the house to show it was unsuitable to live in on serious health grounds and if I didn't receive the deposit then I would have to contact environmental health to get involved. Thirdly the lady in the agency (Alison Rayner) was extremely extremely sarcastic and rude when I approached them for advice.She is very unprofessional and really needs some proper training before she has this agency closed down. Fourthly if anybody is considering using this agency then I would be very careful and wary before entering into any agreements or contracts. I believe the agency are again going to rent the property denying it is unsafe to live in but of course they make a tidy sum of 400 pounds each time not having to do anything.

GooglePrevious reviews are correct it is impossible to get your full deposit back from Maldon Lettings. Please make sure if you use this company that you take note and photos of every tiny little thing that is not 100% correct with the property.

Thank you Charlotte. I have replied to David Scott's separate review some 20 weeks after this review. However I would also like to add that we always give you the chance to go back to the property to resolve any cleaning issues. The property must reflect the cleanliness when you entered the property. You get 7 days to make any additions to the inventory or send us any photos of any changes. This is explained verbally and above where you sign on the inventory. We really do want to avoid deposit deductions or return visits as it only makes more work for everyone.

Unfortunately there is a criteria you have to fulfil if you wish to rent a property and we always strive to be clear and upfront about the process to avoid disappointment in the long run.
