GoogleWhen our previous Landlord decided to sell the property we were in, it was quite a shock. However, Ryan found us the perfect new home. During the stressful time spent between finding out and moving in, the whole team at Maldon Lettings were helpful. They handled all our worries and put our minds at rest. So, thank you Ryan, Alison, Sam and Lee.

GoogleI’ve rented privately through Maldon Lettings for just under four years and the team there have always been professional and helpful. I mainly dealt with Ryan who was always helpful, friendly and efficient. This was my only time renting and they really helped me with something which was alien and daunting for me and made it easy.

GoogleVisited on Saturday 02/07/2022 just before 10am to enquire regarding a few different properties myself and my Fiance were interested in. We enquired if they had any properties on their system which allowed for 3 adult tenants to which they said no (without checking at all.) I understand that it is quite rare for that particular arrangement to be available and so decided not to pursue that further, the employee suggested we check Room for rent online which in this case was understandable. What upset myself and my fiance after was that we expressed we would like to enquire about a property to rent for just the 2 of us and we were also redirected to check room for rent on the grounds that we might be able to afford that better despite us not previously mentioning our budget. We felt very embarrassed and it was clear there was no intention to take our enquiry seriously and so we decided to check elsewhere.
We are so sorry that you left feeling that way Aron. We was genuinely trying to be helpful with our recommendations as you had suggested affordability being an issue, which is why you wanted to share. The market is really up and down with properties as you have probably found and this is really frustrating for prospective tenants as well as us. We only had one property available, (as we let 3 that day) which wouldn’t have been suitable as it was bigger than you required. Being a small company and not part of a larger chain its easier for staff to be fully aware of available properties as well as the landlords requirements of each property and therefore she did not need to look this up as she already knew. Once again, I am sorry that this was not made more clear and left you feeling that we did not take your enquiry seriously. We wish we had enough properties to accommodate everyone’s requirements, however nationwide there is a shortage. If you are still looking for a property, please do contact us to give us your details as this week we have had some new listings that might be of interest to you and we would like to help you.

GoogleWe had the absolute pleasure of having a viewing with Lettings Specialist Ryan Howlett the other day. He showed us a fantastic property which we are hoping to become tenants of soon. I had my step sons in tow and we all agreed that he was a lovely man. He interacted with my boys in a friendly and fun way; so much so that they went home and talked about him to their dad that evening! He was very knowledgeable about the property details and was able to give answers to all of my questions. He was extremely approachable and I appreciated his honesty and enthusiasm for both the property and us as a family. Maldon Lettings as a whole have been very friendly, quick to respond and eager to be of assistance. We definitely recommend them as a company and if course the lovely Ryan.

GoogleRenting through Maldon Lettings was a stressful experience. They conducted visits every three months, which made it difficult for us to feel comfortable or at home. When it came time to move out because they wanted the property back, they provided a negative reference without any warnings. If you decide to use their services, I strongly recommend doing a thorough inventory check, recording every little problem you see or smell, and taking pictures of your house during visits even if its for a simple repair (had some washing up in the sink around 1pm, the handy man reported the kitchen to be filthy.). Do not trust their smile. They or/and the landlord will go after every penny. Overall, our experience was far from satisfactory.

GoogleI have been with this small company for the last couple of years. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming. Their efficiency is the best I have experienced with any letting Agent. I have recently had to stop working with them due to my tenants moving out and my selling of the house. Rest assured I will be straight back through their front door once I’ve purchased my next property. Local is best!

GoogleWe recently used Maldon Lettings and were extremely impressed with the service received from the team, from the moment we initially met them at the property, to negotiating our offer on behalf of their landlord, then processing our application and then the day we moved in. We dealt with mainly Ryan and Alison, but also found Lee and Ashley great to deal with as well. All of the staff were friendly, professional and very easy to communicate with. This was our first letting and it was a pleasure to deal with all of the team. Even when we had a few minor issues, Maldon Lettings were great in speaking with our landlord and tradesman and getting the issue resolved. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and would give them a 5 star rating, Ricky & Liz.

GoogleMaldon Lettings and in particular Alison are fantastic to deal with. They let our house within 48 hours of it being marketed and to the best tenants in the world! Very efficient to deal with and very good for managed services if you are a landlord. Would highly recommend over the larger chains, attention much more personal. Fees are competitive too.

GoogleI had an extremely disappointing experience with this lettings agency. It's clear that their agents prioritize profit over everything else. Ryan lacks integrity and appears two-faced, while Alison's sole focus is money. The other agent, unfortunately, seems clueless and consistently provides incorrect information. This agency is more concerned with their bottom line than providing quality service to clients. Update • Not a fake review, I still rent with them ( unfortunately, but not for long ) and out of concern of retribution have used an alias to leave review. Either way, this is the truth.
I am sorry Sarah, we do not seem to be able to find you on our system or have knowledge of you as a customer. We would of course like the chance to reply to your experience, but like I said not knowing who you are makes this difficult. We are a small company and the people you have mentioned can't place you, which would be highly unusual especially considering you have had such a poor experience. We therefore feel this review must be fake and the names of staff found from our website. If this is not correct please contact us in order for us to reply. Thank you

GoogleI am writing to express my disappointment with the letting agency Maldon Lettings who I feel prioritized the landlord's interests over mine as a tenant. I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of service I received. Despite paying my rent on time and abiding by the terms of the tenancy agreement, I found that the letting agency was unwilling to address the issues I raised. In addition to this, I found that the letting agency was quick to side with the landlord and their demands, without taking my concerns into account. Overall, I found my experience with Maldon Lettings to be extremely frustrating and unfair. As a tenant, I felt undervalued and unsupported, with the letting agency showing a clear preference for the landlord's interests over mine. I would not recommend Maldon Lettings to anyone looking for a reliable and fair letting agency. I hope that this feedback will be taken on board and that steps will be taken to improve the agency's practices in the future.
Once again I am sorry to say we have never had a tenant with your name - we do seem to be getting a few of these and we feel are fake reviews. To reply to what was mentioned, we act as a go between and the property belongs to the Landlord. At the end of the day it is not about siding as this would make no difference. Without specifics its difficult to comment fully on what is being referred to exactly.

GoogleHaving moved 12 times in the last 10 years I've dealt with a few lettings agents and I can easily say Maldon Lettings has been the smoothest and most pleasant experience by far. I've had numerous issues with the property which were no fault of the agent but everytime they have been straight on the case making repairs and administration a painless process. I think I've dealt with every member of staff at Maldon Lettings at some point and I've always had a positive experience. They're a great bunch and extremely empathetic. I'd definitely recommend Maldon Lettings and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

GoogleI moved into my flat at the end of September and Maldon Lettings have been absolutely fantastic! When I had a problem with the boiler just after Christmas, they made sure that someone was round to look at it within the hour. They are very prompt in responding to any queries and everyone I have spoken with has been approachable and kind always going the extra mile. I love my home and I feel reassured and secure renting through Maldon Lettings. Excellent service all round and I would highly recommend!
