We are in the process of buying a house and had it not been for Amy Rolfe reaching out I don't think we would have exchanged so quickly! Amy's help has been vital in this process, and I truly don't think we would be at this stage had we not had her support. She truly has gone over and beyond, especially as we are first time buyers, explaining the process and providing informative updates. This is more than the current estate agents we have been dealing and it just shows that with not be direct clients, Holden Estates still care about everyone in the process. If we were to ever move and buy a property, I would be giving this company a call first. Thank you again Amy for everything!

Holden's have been fantastic from start to finish with helping us buy our first home. The process is always daunting but they were helpful from house viewings through to completion. When we started looking at houses we went to multiple estate agents, but Holden's process of helping us look at houses was far better than the others. Once we had started the process of putting in an offer and all the steps that follow, no question was dismissed or belittled, only friendly and helpful advice came our way. They were supportive through every step. We cannot thank them enough for their support in buying our first home and we would highly recommend them!

I haven’t used an Estate Agent for 20yrs and a lot has changed since my last purchase but Holden’s and in particular Amy impressed me with her knowledge of the area and also her great communication and support for me as a purchaser. She liaised with everyone to move the sale along when it hit some bumps and Amy and the team at Holdens really made me realise how valuable a good Estate Agent is when going through this quite stressful process. Before listing with Holdens, it was suggested that I buy the photos from my current agent, as they were good photos. I duly paid £200 for them only to be told by a different member of the team that I would be better off having new photos! I was then told to remove my property from the market over Christmas and relaunch it in January only for this suggestion to be contradicted by another member of the team. The house was listed from October to mid January with only one call from the agent in the whole almost 3 months. In the end my house was sold for the asking price by the original agent after zero leads from Holdens. They talk the talk but clearly the team members don’t share the same ideas - I could not recommend.

I cannot recommend Holden Estate Agents enough! My selling experience was hit with lots of problems with the chain collapsing which was extremely stressful, and immediately Holden were straight back on to arranging viewings and finding a new buyer for me! Absolutely disgraceful service!! I called to enquire about a property I was interested in viewing and spoke to one of the directors Ryan Holden who was extremely rude and wasn't interested at all in organising a viewing, he was hugely insulting. There is no need for this sort of behaviour when simply making an enquiry about a property. It doesn't even deserve the 1 star but I'm unable to put the post up without it.

When things would go quiet, we could always count on them to chase any potential queries with solicitors or to reassure us that everything was in hand. From the moment Holden come round to quote for marketing our house, I knew they were the perfect estate agent for us. They are extremely professional with a wealth of knowledge of the Maldon area and were more than happy to answer my 1001 questions, which were not all sale related. Our house sold within a week of being on the market and we obtained the price we were looking for. Our sale did not go without hiccups but Holden were in constant communication with us and chasing the other estate agents in the chain and solicitors to ensure the process could go as smoothly as possible. Holden's were friendly and gave good advice to us throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Holden and they are definitely good value for money.

Holden Estates are a class act and a true representation of how an estate agent should operate. If you are moving house in the Maldon or Heybridge area then you should use them! My move started just before Covid hit and during a time that no one had ever experienced before they really made the process as smooth and as least stressful as possible. Everyone that I spoke to was fantastic but a special mention has to go to Amy who really stuck her neck out on a number of occasions, was really responsive and genuinely had my best interests at heart. I would not think twice about using them again and would recommend them to all my friends and family. My move completed in December 2020 and I couldn't be happier with the experience with Holdens.
