Having to sell family home after mum passed away

After my mum passed away unexpectedly and way too soon, I found myself having to single handedly deal with her estate. Having moved in to the family home in 1988 it had certainly been lived in, not run down to disrepair but at the same time no real updates on the property had taken place over this long period of time. It was always going to be stressful and a challenge but with that in mind it was the perfect property for a family home and for someone to put their own stamp on it and personally this was my hope.Adam from Wards took the lead and on evalution and first viewing of the property he understood fully without me having to really explain anything. He was fair with pricing, clear with explaining each reason positive and negative and made me feel like he just got it.From then on it was easy for me, on visiting the office Amy was always so welcoming, helpful and considerate. She made me feel like I wasnt alone in it, in a professional and caring manner, we laughed together as well. Meant alot.Throughout the process I recieved emails and phone calls updating me with informaton I needed to know nothing I could of just done without and the whole team in the office dealt with the sale in one aspect or another Tom, Tanya and Maria thank you.When an offer came in Alfie was exceptional at relaying the potential buyers concerns and interest to me, kept it clear what I needed to do my end and was honest about their queries.I can't thank the team enough.Sam Head

As a Sales Progressor Debbie Ludgate was amazing. I’ve moved a few times and never been involved with one.Debbie Ludgate went above and beyond to ensure our sales went through as smoothly as it could. Wards Ashford was awful, promise top rate service and fail to deliver. weekly marketing updates confirmed pitiful marketing to the point of embarrassment and a request to stop the updates as it only evidenced just how bad the service is. Contract heavily loaded in Wards favour, no open house as promised, no for sale board without chasing and then not as promised. If on-line failed to deliver leads then Wards have no proactive marketing approach.Worst experience ever,

I went to Wards on a whim! Earlier this year as my contract was coming to an end with my then Agent. I was greeted by Prince & Amrit who were both very friendly, extremely knowledgeable & polite. From the word Go! They instantly made me feel comfortable and well at ease before, during and after the whole transaction of the sale of my property.They were efficient and very hands on and took away any reservations that I had during the process. Prince kept me updated at all times and so I knew exactly what stage(s) the sale of my house was at and he never left me in the lurch about anything, so this made things even more relaxed and easier to deal with.The turnaround was unexpectedly fast and I could not fault a thing! Finding the right person to make sure…

Finding the right person to make sure your property will be rented out to the right person is hard. I was extremely blessed to have Vanessa Tindal who works for Wards Estate Agents in Maidstone helping me all the way. All my questions were answered clearly and support was given with extra things I needed such as professional cleaning etc. I do not live near the property in question so having someone with local knowledge who can put your mind at rest that all is well is priceless. I luckily had a conversation with Devon from the Rochester branch after I had a offer fall through. He was very understanding and encouraging even though it was a horrible situation for us. He suggested another property that I felt at the time would be out of our league, But I can not thank him enough for booking us in for the open day as a week later our offer was accepted and we have now moved into our dream home !He regularly checked in and kept my sanity during the stressful process of moving and I couldn't have been more grateful. We had a really great experience using Wards. From the original viewings through to our offer being accepted the communication with the team at Rochester was clear and frequent. Once our offer was accepted, sales progressor Judy Day was fantastic. She kept us informed and helped us through the process, which was so invaluable to us as this was our first house purchase. Especially towards the end when we ran into some delays with exchange, Judy kept in touch with progress and consistently was in contact with the seller/solicitors to get updates and push things forward. Top Team at Headcorn.

We went into the branch at Headcorn looking for properties in the area. From the first visit everyone was attentive to our needs and couldn't do more to help us find the home we were looking for. Even though the Headcorn branch is a small team, all gave us good advice, communicated as they said they would, met us promptly for viewings and kept us up-to-date with potential properties coming to market. In the end we opted for a property in the area handled by another agent. After updating the team, Hollie emailed to congratulate us and offered further assistance in the process should we need it.
