From first contact till exchange of contracts and completion, Lucy has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Always professional, friendly, courteous and helpful, she carried out most of the viewings whilst I was away and always communicated feedback from the prospective buyers. Lucy is always positive and this must surely come across to everyone be they buyers or sellers. She demonstrates expert knowledge of the industry and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lucy to anyone whether looking to sell a property or looking to buy.

Barming Brilliant

We decided to purchase a property through Simon Miller in Barming .. The moment we met Paul he was direct and honest and never sugar coated anything which was refreshing from a estate agent. His communication skills and customer services were second to none .. We did encounter a few problems not from the estate agents but from the sellers solicitors and Paul and Greg were there to navigate us through the issues and never stopped helping till we completed the sale .. I can say 100% we would have have walked away from the sale if Paul and Greg were not there to make it happen ... I’m totally grateful now as the house is a gem and the area is amazing ... If your reading this call them and experience a honest solid amazing service .

The Amazing Larkfield Simon Miller Team !

After exchanging contracts on two properties today and purchasing one as part of a long chain we felt compelled to review the team at the Larkfield branch of Simon Miller . Professional , knowledgeable , friendly , exceptional , understanding and supportive throughout the whole process , just a few words that describe the Larkfield team . Dan and Simon worked extremely hard representing my mother’s sale . They were friendly made her feel at ease and were reliable efficient and professional . We can’t thank Georgie Vincent The senior sales manager enough whom without we would not of survived the roller coaster stressful ride of moving . Georgie was the link who held the whole chain together ! There for us every step of the way , professional trustworthy reliable , informative and honest from the first moment when putting our property on the market to the final hours of exchange . Andy her colleague was crucial in the process too informing us of updates and working tirelessly to ensure the process continued to progress . I am in marketing/sales and have come to appreciate that listening is a skill that many of us do not possess. However, Amanda Gates at the Headcorn branch, not only listened, but took to heart my desires for the perfect property, and within a week she found it!! Her excitement and enthusiasm in finding me the right property truly gave me the sense that her happiness is derived from bringing happiness to others. Amanda is professional; responsive; attentive; and so very personable. She takes her job very seriously, as do all the staff at that office, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience so far. This is my first experience of buying a home, and Amanda is proving to be a guiding light on this journey. We have been searching for a property to buy for almost a year now. As everyone knows, when buying a property it is a very important decision to make in life. My partner and I have been purchasing a house through Simon Miller for what seems like forever, we have mainly been dealing with Alex and Steve, but on occasions I have also spoken with Michael. You may end up having very serious regrets.

If you are thinking of selling a house - and you are thinking of engaging an estate agent - and you are thinking about Simon Miller and Company? Think again. I let them have keys so that they could conduct viewings and I returned home after being away for a month to find my property damaged - dents all over the front of my fridge freezer. Lack of supervision of a child banging a toy into it? Something like that. I would suggest that they must not be trusted to conduct viewings. I accept that I signed a contract without fully understanding the terms - the Property Ombudsman says that any unusual or onerous terms should be drawn to your attention. The agent talked about fees and that it was a sole agency but never mentioned the duration - an unusually long 20 weeks. Nor was it explained to me that they will seek to extend this in the event that they introduce a buyer who fails to proceed. That time gets added to the 20 weeks. So to explain that properly - if they introduce a buyer and they can out after 8 weeks you are now under contract for 28 weeks!! You could find yourself locked in for ages. In any case, you might ask what kind of agent needs 20 weeks to sell a property? Communication with this firm is laughably terrible - you'l rarely if ever get a confirmation that they have received an email. Most enquiries go unanswered. Telephone call are usually not returned and when they are, not by the person you want to talk to. That led me to make a complaint and it took about half a dozen emails, several phone calls and three days for them to even acknowledge that I had made a complaint. If this is how they treat sellers, how can you have any confidence in the way they treat buyers? So in summary - read the contract carefully and get them to vary the duration to one that suits you. Make it clear that if you need to market elsewhere after a reasonable time - say 8 weeks - that you reserve the right to do that without penalty. Do not let them conduct viewings. Finally, if you are expecting modern 21st century communications and courtesy - then you'd better go elsewhere. I've been pushed to wait out my contract period and also make a complaint to the Ombudsman about this firm - take my advice and save yourself the aggravation of dealing with this very very sub standard and expensive agent.
