I used Prospect Estate Agency in Maidenhead to manage the sale of my property and I couldn't be happier with the service that I experienced. From my first meeting with the branch manager, Jon, I was struck by the energy and enthusiasm that the staff at the agency possess. Their longer-than-standard opening hours have proven to be a real blessing and have ensured that I have always been able to talk to someone, even at times outside of my own working hours and at the weekend also. I have been particularly impressed by the level of help I received between accepting an offer and finalising the sale. Lianne Johnson has been exceptional at looking after every aspect of the transaction, communicating to all of the parties involved and for offering guidance and reassurance throughout. She was even able to recommend a removal company that was able to accommodate my move at short notice. Very highly recommended.

It all worked out well in the end with Prospect, Wokingham!

Despite being a little bit quick to ask us to decrease the sale price of our Parent’s house when we put it up for sale with Prospect and comparing it to other houses in the area that were in my view “not comparable” -it has all worked out well. And we have SOLD with Prospect. Beth Murphy’s communications were very good and her advice was invaluable when dealing with the prospective purchaser. She kept with us throughout the process, which was a little bit complex and in the end, we sold to the first viewer, at only a small discount to the asking price. We are very happy with Prospect and the result.

Awful awful awful experience

We had an awful awful awful experience the letting assistant manager Betsy Harmer. We are a family of 4 with very young children. We relocated back to the U.K. from Asia and rented a temporary accommodation based on property photos from abroad. 1 week before checking, in my wife wanted to confirm the conditions of the property as she requested to Mrs Harmer, as condition for the tenancy, for the garden to be tidy and the property cleaned. The garden was in horrendous condition. We were concerned that the garden could represent a hazard for the children due to rats or mice. We called and called Betsy and complained about this. She asked us if we were ok to start living in the property until a gardener was found. However, she never solved our problem with the garden. In fact, she asked us to send photos and videos of it, which concerned us as we would have expected for the letting agency to do a check themselves. I found a gardener in 3 hours after checking in and proposed this and gave a quote to Betsy as well as the gardener’s availability to do the work. She said this was not authorised and forbid us to proceed. To protect my family, I decided to hire the gardener myself and pay from my own pocket. Horrendous service from this company and this person. Beyond awful. Do not recommend. In addition, the house was not cleaned, there were numerous marks in the walls. We had to give notice the 1st day. Please do not rent properties with these individuals.
