GoogleAbsolutely appalling service; we were given different moving dates by different people and then told no such thing happened; suspicious fees, no compassion with reference times, even with a 1 year old in the hospital! We were treated like children and the service we received was almost like they were doing us a favour - the stereotype of letting agents really held up with this business, if it wasn't so upsetting and with one of us facing homelessness with a child as a result of them telling us the wrong date - it would be a fantastic premise for a comedy show. Landlords and prospective renters beware! If I could give 0 stars I would. Very disappointing and upsetting experience, go with another, less parasitic letting agent!

Thanks for the feedback Shian and I sympathise with your situation.
However after four weeks and despite our constant chasing we still do not have the necessary references from all parties to create a suitable tenancy, a process that normally takes less than 2 weeks. No letting agent would be able to procced on this basis. It is for this reason that our landlord decided withdraw from the proposed tenancy agreement.

The builders dragged their feet, but Blunts kept on and on at them and hardly charged me anything for doing this! I was expecting a big bill based on all the phone calls, document changes and e-mails they had to do. Thanks so much for making this difficult time following my mother's death as easy as it possibly could be.

Dear Govind, thank your time this morning. As mentioned as estate agents we are lawfully obliged to disclose the terms of the lease, which we did do. However we are not solicitors and cannot advise on details contained in the lease and this is what you employ your legal adviser for. Below are the comments from the vendor's solicitor for your information. 'I’ve had a look at your title and I think your buyer must be referring to the fact that it is a good leasehold title rather than an absolute leasehold title. This will be the case as the freehold title is not registered at the Land Registry. It’s entirely typical of a terrace property in central Macclesfield. Good leasehold indemnity is readily available for around £50 and is acceptable to the vast majority of solicitors and mortgage lenders.' As discussed, it is the job of the solicitors to discuss details with regard to the lease, and they do have differing opinions. In this instance, and I do feel your frustration, I do feel that we have not done a lot wrong and feel the 1* Google review is rather unfair. GoogleThey might be great for landlords, but pretty subpar for prospective tenants. I had a property viewing organised which was let before I arrived. No one bothered calling me to cancel the viewing, and I only found out from revisiting the advert on the day. Super rude.
Reply: Nope, you didn't do any of those things. The person I spoke to admitted fault, and said I'd have "first dibs" on the next place that came up. Pro-tip: "I'm sorry you didn't get the message" isn't actually an apology 😉
