From the moment I met Will I felt confident in the ability of Holden & Prescott to carry out a totally professional sale of the property I was in charge of. They did. Will is a professional and decent guy. I am a court appointed deputy for the owner. Will and his team, mostly Dan Edge, oversaw a problematic situation very well. Many problems in the chain of 5 were dealt with efficiently together with the conveyancer who was recommended by Holden and Prescott. Dan kept me up to date at all times. From the very beginning she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in helping us find the right home. My partner and I are moving in together, so finding the right place meant a lot to us, and Genna really went above and beyond to make it happen. As a first time buyer that bought a property through Holden & Prescott, I can absolutely recommend them. I had viewed houses with at least 4 other estate agents in the 6 months prior. Holden &Prescott were the first company that didn't conduct the viewing as if it was a forceful sales opportunity. They gave me time and space to view it myself, added useful input when appropriate and didn't rush me out of the property. It was a breath of fresh air. When putting in the offer and throughout the buying process, Simon Baker was honest, helpful and very dilligent in staying on top of what was being done by both buyers and sellers. As I had stated a preference for doing regular call updates rather than lots of emails, he was happy to do it that way. He gave useful advice around surveys or steps following surveys. Whenever giving recommendations, it was clear they were an OPTION not something being gently forced on you, like other estate agents. In the future should I need to sell a property, Holden & Prescott would be my go-to estate agents.

It has been a long and stressful time for everyone involved during the 12 months, from having our offer accepted, to finally getting the keys on Friday. If possible, I would have valued this as zero stars! What a disappointing and angering experience we have had with this estate agent. I will not be going to view any property listed for sale with these agents again. We were the first viewers on a property that we loved and immediately submitted an over-asking-price offer at the viewing. This was put forward to the vendor, who, as is their right, thanked us for the offer but declined to accept as there were another 10 viewings booked in. This information was relayed to my wife as I was working. The following day, I contacted Holden and Prescott to state that we would be willing to go higher with our offer should there be other interested parties and to ask what the process was from this point onwards. I was told that our offer was still on the table and, should there be further offers over the course of the week, we would be contacted to be given the opportunity to raise our offer. I expressed that I was pleased as we really wanted the house. Today, my wife has been contacted to be told that the vendors have accepted another offer and the property was sold. I rang back and explained my earlier phone call, to be told that the person I was speaking to earlier in the week is a director of the company and that it was not possible to offer higher once an offer was accepted. We have lost out on a property we really wanted due to a basic lack of manners. I shall never consider using this agent or lining their pockets by buying a property they are marketing ever again! I am disgusted that the basic civility of contacting us as promised was not carried out.

I wish to write a review about the recent sale of my house with the Holden & Prescott team. I was a customer 16 years ago, when I sold my previous home and I had no hestitation to choose them again. I didn't even ask any other estate agents this time, as I remembered how happy I was with the service of Holden and Prescott. All the team are very professional and supportive, as moving house is a very stressful event, as we are all aware. Will Holden, is a person who I trust and value because of his experience and honesty as an estate agent. His approach is gentle, genuine and guides you with his years of experience in this industy. Another member of the team who I would like to mention is Dan Edge. He is a remarkable young man and a credit to Will's team. He has great people skills, kept me up to date with the whole process, answering any questions I put across which made me feel at ease. It only took a few months to sell and with regular check in's from Dan, we found the right buyer for my home. I chose Holden & Prescott to sell my home predominantly because of my initial dealing with Jack Hanson. Jack clearly knows the local market in depth and more importantly has a good grasp of the potential buyers in the area. Selling your home isn't an everyday process for homeowners and if you are in a chain, rarely does it go smoothly. Good timely communication from your agent is important. I didn't need to worry as Jack was on the ball throughout the process and kept me updated with the developments at hand. We have just sold & purchased through Holden and Prescott. Right from the off we felt we were in safe hands. Jack gave us a fair appraisal and clearly understood the market and local area. All of the team were amazing but a special thankyou to Simon. We we’re away on holiday for an extended period so concerned our sale/purchase would stagger but wasn’t the case as Simon contacted us with updates at least weekly & arranged supported visits by external agencies ensuring my elderly cat stayed safe. Simon responded to all my query’s and made a potentially stressful time bearable we must also mention his respectful humour. We chose escorted viewings by Tony and we’re almost immediately given feedback from the office. We sold within weeks and purchased our dream home with H&P too. Moving is stressful especially when you’re in your seventies and there’s a chain with the hiccups you get along the way but Holden and Prescott were really on the ball in touch and helpful all the way I can’t fault them don’t be tempted to go for a cheaper internet agent you will not get the service you get from Holden well worth every penny made moving so much less stressful
