This is a long review but please read. My mother's bungalow of non standard construction needed to be sold to a cash buyer. I asked three local agents to come and see the property. Jeanette Churchill from Howards in Long Stratton stood out with her knowledge, professionalism and above all enthusiasm. She suggested an Open Day, which went extremely well. The bunglow sold from that event and it has been plain sailing all the way through. She kept me in touch with how things were progressing along with her able assistant, Cheyenne. I thoroughly recommend this team to you all

As potential house buyers, my husband and I have been looking for some time for the perfect property. Up until we met Janette from Howard's, we had experienced some of the most appalling estate agents on the planet - ignorant, nonchalant, blase, devoid of knowledge and totally lacking in professionalism. This was NOT the case with Howard's. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly and had clearly gone out of their way to ensure the property was presented in the best possible light. We started our journey in the hunt of a new property & relocation from Essex, and on finding a property that we fell in love with from the first viewing with Janette just before Christmas. I'm writing this review on behalf of my elderly mother, the sale of whose bungalow we entrusted to Howards. Within a day, we were paid a personal visit by Janette, who ran the entire sales campaign and gave us a hugely positive feeling about expectations and how the sales process would proceed. As mum was not in the best of health, Jannette focused on an Open Day approach so that all potential purchasers could see the property on the same day, with enough time between them to feel comfortable with the viewing, and also keeping mum away from the strain of having strangers in her home. Between the purchasers a bidding war began, pushing up the sale price to almost 10% more than the asking price. It also helped us decide on the right buyer for mum's home. Janette came in a day early to prepare the place to look at its best, and all progress was conducted through phone calls and a WhatsApp group we had set up, so we were always well informed. I don't think it could have gone any easier, and I would not hesitate to recommend Howards in future to anyone who would like to benefit from a similarly stress-free sales experience.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Renting through Howards started off OK…

Renting through Howards started off OK and everything was good until they changed hands. Then the two very helpful women were replaced by very young rude staff who really didn’t care. When I had found somewhere else this is when the lies came about. This agency cost me a fortune because of their lies. Then after I had moved out it took over two weeks to get my deposit back. Then once again they lied to the utility company, as they told them I moved at end of month, when I moved on 9th of December. I had to prove to the utility company when I moved out as they were trying to get me to pay for gas and electric used after I moved out. They are rude, devious and untrustworthy, they lie constantly. Do not rent through Howards or even trust them.

Absolutely bang average...

On a positive note they will undoubtedly sell your house, which is their sole purpose after all, however in my opinion the experience was like selling a used car on eBay - the sale price doesn't matter as long as it sells (so they get paid their all important commission). Also, their aftersales and partner solicitor firm were decidedly pedestrian. I wouldn't recommend them or be in a hurry to use them again.
