Romana was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. We found our flat just before the Christmas break so really appreciate Romana responding back to us quickly and professionally during this time.

This agency, in their capacity of manager of the property I live into, is of an incredible incompetence; to a point beyond belief. All they do takes months to complete and requires continuous reminders in order to complete, if ever. I dealt with several people in the organisation and this seems to be the style of the house, this makes me guess this is a deliberate strategy to wear you out along the way. Very unfair, very unpleasant, very unprofessional. The end result...they will lose me as a tenant. A good service to the landlord? I never missed a payment and the house is in much better condition than when I entered. A good service for the landlord?

They want you to think they are professional and they care about you, but the truth is that they are just another lettings agency and what they really care about it's profit. They will ask you for professional cleanings and charge you more then what is expected for that kind of service (and we never seen the receipt, by the way...) Make this clear before the end of your contract and don't forget to keep trace of every inspections they do every 6 months. Be very careful. They will try to take your money with any kind of excuses. After one year we had the washing machine broken and because of their very poor assistance we got the new one after 10 days. Avoid them if you can.

Poor service but high fees

We've got a letting contract in place through WW for a total value over £40k and the agency hasn't managed to get us installed an additional lock (cost £100) or lights in the back garden when several burglary events happened in our road and someone broke into our property. After a month of emails going back and forward, we had to pay for the extra lock ourselves and the lights are not going to be installed. NOT happy at all with the service received, hence NOT recommended.

Poor customer service and support. We found a very nice flat and we made an offer. It was all smooth, the landlord accepted the offer so They asked us to sign the contract and to send them the money for the deposit, but they wanted us to do an electronic signature. My husband and I didn't agree at all for this and we asked if we could do this face to face in the office. They accepted. We went to the office, the agent that was dealing with us explained that we had to make the full payment straight away to block the flat. We signed and paid and asked for a copy of the contract and the response to that was that the landlord needed to review our references first and make a quick credit check on us. We pointed out that this kind of things were supposed to be done before money and signature. They didn't agree, then they added that it wasn't even sure that the property was going to be ours. This was the 25th of July, the moving date was the 1st of September. After us calling them almost every day to have news, because they were not bothered to contact us, and after sending them everything they asked for, they also asked for a copy of my husband's tax return. I've never heard of copy of tax return for renting a ONE BEDROOM FLAT!!! By this point I was surprised they didn't ask for blood tests or family trees. Anyway because we were tired of all this rubbish, we just sent it and they got back to us, after me calling them again, by saying that we were not suitable for the flat. This news was given to us on the 10th of August, 17 days after signing the contract and paid almost £3000!!! In all this time we were not able to view any other place because even if we were going to find another flat we were going to break the contract with Winchester White and loose the money as a consequence. (Luckily we received all our money back.) So they left a pregnant woman stressed up, upset and without a house!! Now we have to find a flat in less than 20 days. Thank you Winchester White, you are the worst estate agency around

I just rent the property through the WWW and can not say enough thanks to their company and especialy to Mr. Adam Tross, with who I delt with. He did absolutely fantastic job for me, made everything easy. As someone living in the different country I was worried about how am I gonna manage the whole process of renting the property, but mr. Tross helped me out, explained to me everything and stood in touch with me- this I really appreciatate, that I was up to date.Obviously I could not flight to London to view the property, so Adam just took me there via Skype. Absolutely awesome service. So I saw the flat even being 1200 km far away. I can definitivelly recommend the WWW and if you are seeking really professional, good and trustworthy agent ask for Adam Tross. Tereza Kavalová- very heppy and satisfied customer! :-)

What seemed to be a problem free estate agents at first soon turned into despair. We ended up in a flat in which we were not informed we would have to share a heating system and water system with 3 other flats!! As you can imagine we were consantly too hot, too cold and without hot water. They pretended to talk to our landlord to sort the problems out, but it is very obvious that they did not. Also felt that some (not all) of the agents were very pushy, including changing the time of a viewing to "when we would be out" even though we had specified we didn't mind being in. I mean we were paying a lot of money due to the area so excuse us for wanting to be in our own flat that we are paying for on a Saturday afternoon. When we complained about them they stopped bothering to reply to emails and tried to pass us round different agents. Disappointing and giving the rental industry the bad name it already had.

Friendly, proactive and highly accommodating service at the onset. Let down big time once we had signed the lease and moved in. The Inspection report organised by WW was embarrassingly out of date. It took us three evenings to amend it to cover our own backs. Even the photographs were old. It was blatantly obvious that the two large healthy green trees in the front garden depicted in the report were very much dead when we moved in. The meter readings were over a year old and after we gave our initial reading to the energy company our bill for the first month was £800! They knew that clearly something was wrong and, thankfully, let us off. A quick check of the Inventory Report by WW would have saved us a lot of time and problems as well as saved their reputation. Without this seemingly minor omission on their behalf, it would have been a four star rating. But the inventory report is an integral component to the tenancy, considering that our bond is at stake. And, on the flip side, I wouldn't want to be the landlord who paid for the "service". Sorry WW !

Adam Tross from the Wimbledon office served me when I was looking for a property to rent in the area. To say his service was excellent is an understatement. It has to be the best service I've ever received in this industry and I will have difficulty dealing with another agency in the future. He was prompt, very polite, very flexible and very eager to strike a win-win deal. He's the kind of guy you'd hire in a heartbeat! Congratulations, Adam. You've pleased, and exceeded expectations, of a very picky client!

Max Betteridge and Alex Winchester are absolute stars. I was working with them to house some of our team at the National Theatre of Scotland. Alex and Max also negotiated on our behalf, their customer service was impeccable, and they made it a true joy to let short term properties from them. The letting agency is quaint and personable, giving us the confidence that we will be taken care of and supported throughout the letting process. I cannot suggest them enough!

Varying reviews here which is a little confusing, as my experience of Winchester White was of a top professional letting agency. We dealt with a young chap called Jake Hirons-Palmer, who was both helpful and hardworking. We'd already done the rounds with other agencies and as pleasant as they were, as soon as I met Jake I just handed the job of finding us a house over to him. He clearly worked very hard in researching various options for us and came up trumps. He was straightforward, without the usual "agent speak" but at the same time very pleasant and managed to make the process seem almost effortless, although he must have spent many, many days researching the various options. Well done.

Continual junk mail from this company. They once didn't pay postage, and not knowing who the letter was from, I paid the postage at the post office only for it to be more junk mail. I have told them many times to remove my details from their mailing list.

I have dealt with Winchester White over the last 4 months and I have been very impressed. Emails and phone calls were always answered promptly. They were always willing to listen and answer any queries. I know that they are very supportive of the local community and have sponsored the summer fete of a local secondary school. If you are looking for a specialist lettings agent I would definitely recommend Winchester White.
