Hattie was incredibly helpful in my search to find a property. The property I have now found, wasn't one I first asked to see but Hattie took me there after listening to my preferred criteria. I felt she was honest and didn't waste anytime with properties that would not have been of interest to me. Once she saw how much I fell in love with the property, she worked very quickly and efficiently to get all the paper work sent over. She always answered my phone calls, or replied to them very quickly with helpful advice and answers to my many questions! I have not heard about Winchester White before but I would highly recommend using them if professional, friendly and efficient help is what you are after.

Winchester White let out a flat to us with rising damp and mould. All the damp marks had recently been painted over. After being in there 24 hours we realised water was running down the walls and all our possessions were getting ruined (also waking up wheezing). 10 months later, we have finally got the landlord to end our contract and give us back our deposit (through the use of a solicitor). As soon as we said we wanted to end our contract (we lived there for 2 weeks, well my husband did I moved out after 24 hours as my asthma was too bad), and the landlord would not engage, Winchester White, after offering us an end of tenancy agreement that involved paying the landlord some money for 12 months, withdrew from the situation and refused to help us anymore.We had a number of conference calls with them where they were aggressive and rude, and we were made to feel like we had done something wrong (we viewed the property at night once, and were only allowed to be in there for 5 minutes- had to take it due to completion date of my house sale, but obviously you cannot tell if there is rising damp in 5 minutes).Avoid at all costs for your sanity’s sake, and to avoid huge solicitor costs.

The report and recommendations were shared with your landlord, and whilst the landlord was considering the next steps, you decided to vacate the property without the required consent.We presented you with options to end the tenancy in accordance with the early termination process, which outlined compensation for the reasonable fees incurred as a result of ending the tenancy prematurely. However, you chose to vacate the premises without agreeing to a mutual surrender, and in doing so, you defaulted on rent payments. As a result, it became necessary to engage solicitors to bring the tenancy to a formal conclusion.We are pleased that a settlement was eventually reached, and that the tenancy has now been concluded under terms accepted by both parties.We wish you all the best for the future.Kind Regards,Winchester White

We relocated to Singapore from London and decided to use WW as our letting agent. They got us an offer quickly but from there things went down hill. We were never fully informed of how they would take payment for securing the tenants. We suddenly had no payments from our property for the first 3 months, all while having to still cover our mortgage and new rental. WW agreed to take responsibility for transferring all bills and accounts. We had many issues with communication, we even had no payment one month, when we followed up, we found out they hadn't even ensured the tenants had created a debit order. A year and a half later - we find out that many of the accounts weren't transferred and we've had debtors letters received to the property for months but as we've been away, we were unaware. We would warn anyone in a similar position to steer clear and find a more competent agent.

Your brief at the outset was to secure a strong rental figure with a reliable tenant and an expedited move-in. We achieved this promptly, securing an above asking offer within a very short timeframe, with a tenant able to move quickly, which you accepted, resulting in a two-year tenancy being agreed.
As part of your instruction, you elected to proceed with a promotional onboarding package which included an initial management period and associated cost benefits. These terms, including the fee structure, were clearly set out in writing and agreed prior to progression. Following your recent request, notice on the management has been actioned in line with the agreed terms, and the relevant adjustment will be applied accordingly.
With regard to tenancy length, legislation surrounding Assured Periodic Tenancies was evolving at the time the agreement was entered into. Our advice was therefore based on the prevailing market framework and your stated preference for tenant security. Ultimately, the decision on whether to proceed, and on what terms, rested with you.
We do not recognise the suggestion that any information was misrepresented or that undue pressure was applied. Our role is to advise, negotiate and present opportunities in line with the brief and market conditions, which is what occurred here.
We are also disappointed by the comments regarding service standards, particularly given the speed of the letting, the rental level achieved and the support provided throughout the onboarding process. Nonetheless, we take all feedback seriously and will reflect on your comments internally.
