My experience

I found that it usually took about 2-5 days to get the answer from your email since I sent one to you. It would be a little annoyed when I have some urgent problems to ask, especially for students currently outside the UK. However, the staff is kind and patient to introduce everything about the apartment.

Prestige Living you need to do better!

Well what an experience but not in a good way, i am the parent of a student who took one of these rooms just last week. We booked a 4bed ensuite and never got what we booked, they are now sharing with six others, freezer dirty, cupboards dirty, stairways dirty, then we looked at the room, not acceptable im afraid the mirrors in the bathroom were that filthy you could not see in them, the join in the plastic around the sink area had a big gap, very small window hardly any light coming in. I complained to Prestige Living in regard to not being given the room which was booked to date no reply. Spoke to the person on reception last Saturday to inform them that the room was not clean and totally unacceptable they promised to get a room clean on Monday still waiting. The gym equipment ie treadmills which were reported as not working seven months ago are still not working, so how they can say there is a gym on sight is beyond me. I have emailed Prestige Living twice no reply will not be booking this accommodation for the next two years once this year is up.

Horrible

Horrible. Advertise as luxury living. My son living in dust, nothing working apart from the builders who are still there who shouldnt be there drilling at 8am. Fire alarm going off middle of the night about 1 in 4 nights ruining his next day to study. Poor communication if any once you paid your money, you cannot get hold of the building staff. They will not answer your e mails try and you will see. As a parent massive regret. Were moving him out.

Terrible company! Move in date pushed back, lectures and freshers missed!

Students due to move into Vantage - Prestige student living in Nottingham on the 18th of September - the start of freshers week and two days before course officially starts. 3 weeks before move in students are emailed to say that the accommodation would not be ready, and that they could move in on the 25th of September. This not only meant that all of freshers is missed, but also the first week of lectures, inductions and academic welcome events were missed too. No effort has been made by the accommodation to provide support or help for students. It is now the 20th and there has been no update from the accommodation and we have no idea if they can move in. Walking past the building it is clear that it is still a building site and it is not ready to move in to. I hope vantage are willing to accept liability and responsibility for the huge negative impact that this will have on their students. Not only are they missing out on forming relationships in the first week, getting to know the city, and settling in to life away from home. They are also missing scheduled academic lectures/seminars/inductions. Absolutely disgusted.

Good Living Experience in Steel City

I rented a studio in Steel City and it was a great place to live. The overall environment is relatively quiet, which I really like. The layout of the room is spacious and comfortable for one person to live. The most important thing is that it is equipped with air conditioning, which is really warm in winter and cool in summer, especially the moment you just come back to the room from outside, it will be so hot that you will explode. That’s when the air conditioner works and “save you”. My room also has a small balcony where I usually sit and read or daze. When it rains, sit here and listen to the sound of rain, it’s so relaxing! However, there is no dining table in the room, but it’s not a big deal for me. If you want to come and live, the better way is to check it with staff here in advance. Or you can buy a small square table by yourself. Then it’s easier to invite friends over as guests. Finally, the staff here, they are really nice and approachable, I love to talk with them. And from time to time, there will be benefits and gifts given away. I enjoy the life here and recommend you to come!

I'm was a stressed out mum in Manchester trying to herd what felt like kitten's (finding accomodation for 3 boys). The boys left to their own devices would not have a place for new term. Wahid heard my desperation on the phone and in all honesty helped immensely by telling us all about the process and explaining how quick we had to move in the market. Definitely recommend him and UniLiving!

AVOID PRESTIGE

Avoid!!! My experience was from the Tramshed student accommodation in preston. Where I explained to them that I needed a tenancy take over as I no longer wanted to move in due to the covid situation. They told me they would put my room marked so that if anyone contacted them that they would pass it onto them. In which I found they never actually did. When I did find people interested they took days to email them which caused a lot of people to become uninterested, to then they started to ignore my emails they actually even blocked my number! Eventually when I did find someone to take over they were very unprofessional give her the wrong contract which could of caused me to once again lose out on my room being taken over. Then I waited over 2 month for my security deposit to come through when told it takes a ‘maximum of 28 days’ and when I contacted them after a month I was ignored. The only person that actually did help me was someone called Rachel from prestige I think she’s the only one I’ve spoken to who is actually professional and does her job correctly and doesn’t ignore and leave you in the dark. Also to mention they won’t help you when you reach out for help, even people who were not able to move in and had no take over tenant they refused to even refund them on any rent even though the rooms are not being used and it’s out of students control. AVOID

Enjoy the air conditioner

Living in an air-conditioned room in Sheffield is so comfortable, I was enjoying the cool air conditioner while everyone else was complaining about the heat in the room.

Avoid Prestige at all costs

I would avoid Prestige at all costs. My son and many of his fellow tenants are currently having a really hard time trying to recover their rent as a result of the Covid lockdown. The landlords and Prestige student living at Renslade House Exeter have steadfastly refused to offer any refund - completely at odds with all other student accommodation. They claim that the rooms are still available and that landlords have costs to keep up. And yet they are not cleaning the place, manning reception or servicing it. They are not responding to any enquiries. I have telephoned them repeatedly but can't speak to anyone other than "sales" staff who are clearly just there as a firewall. Although they say that someone will call back they never do. These guys consider themselves untouchable - just concerned with taking student's money and making profit at all cost. Can't believe they are getting away with it in these times. Please do not trust them.

Massive pisstake and a waste of time.

Just when you think you’ve found an affordable accommodation, think again. They’ll cancel your room a month after booking, without warning if you don’t have the very maximum amount of student loan. Massive pisstake. Wasn’t even mentioned on the website.

Unreliable

Difficult to get to and almost felt like they are trying to avoid your calls. I tried contacting them and they kept bringing me in circles until 2 days when I had called multiple times. They also still have not returned my refund for deposit after issuing this from the start of August. I have sent emails regarding my deposit and they have not answered at all.

No water and No security

No water, no securityThere was no hot water for a month due to the landlord trying to solve the water problem as much as cheaply possible and it fails to achieve so. Moreover, outsiders stole parcels from reception as there is no executive working both during working and out of working hours.
