GoogleCockroaches, bed bugs, mice all within 3 weeks of moving in to this place. I was told that I was making up the mice (after already previously reporting the bedbugs and cockroaches) and that I needed video evidence of mice or they weren't going to sort the problem. Ive never dealt with ruder people on the phone - I had several people listen to my phone calls with them and the way I would be spoken to (for issues caused by their negligence may I add) was disgusting and abhorrent. My 'room' was let to me under false pretence - according to tower hamlets council, the minimum size for a bedroom is 8.5m, I had a officer from the environmental health team come to inspect and it was measured at 5.1m (anything under 6.5m cannot be used for sleeping under any circumstances) The window in my bedroom was locked shut and it took them 8 weeks to fix it, blaming it on "most contractors being on holiday over the summer break" (direct quote) The two flats below us that they owned were converted into Airbnbs about a month into the tenancy. I left the tenancy after 4 months as it was such a horrible experience and only just now (8 weeks later again) have they managed to switch the contract and take my name off it (with the current tenant living there for a about 6 weeks at this point) but yet this still was not their issue.
The thing is - I could have some respect for the agents if they would accept responsibility for any or even one of their incompetences - yet they are so sinister in their ability to deflect blame and delay things as much as possible. it seems their philosophy is to ignore and put off for as long as possible so that the tenant gives up and deals with it.
They are crooks who know exactly what they're doing and they have been up to it for years - just google Tony Alan Estates HMO and you can see that they have already been taken to court for operating an illegal HMO property.
Whatever you do, do not rent with these people - save yourself the fuss and don't line their pockets with your money. It was genuinely the worst 4 months of my life. I wish them the worst truly.

GoogleUnfortunately I have to give Tony Alan Estates a 1 star review, if it was up to me I would give them 0. My time spent with Tony Alan has been filled with empty promises, shocking communication, and just general incompetence.
I feel completely disregarded as a client, where I have to badger them to even get a response to my emails, and it still takes them over a week to even acknowledge them. I’m still having to deal with them after moving out due to a deposit dispute, in which it’s taken 2 months so far to make any headway. We gave them a call yesterday, which ended in a promise to send an email by the end of the day, and still nothing. Not surprised at all.
Would definitely not recommend.
