I recently bought my first one bedroom apartment in east London via Eva and Paul at Stowbrothers. It was thanks to Eva that I found the flat I eventually ended up buying as she recommended I come and see it when looking at another one. Through the whole process, which was 2.5 months from putting down the offer to receiving the keys, I got the highest customer service. It was genuine, warm and with a personal touch - Eva and Paul were available for my questions, via email and calls, helped me through the process and cared. Buying is a stressful process, they didn’t give me the stiff energy I got from a lot of other real estate agents, but I felt Eva wanted what was best for me and the seller. She linked me up with a great solicitor, when I moved in Eva even physically helped me move my things in, gave me a moving in plant, she went above and beyond. She’s worked in Mayfair, so she knows the industry in and out, if you are considering StowBrothers - I would say go for it. You won’t be disappointed.

At first, I was hesitant about changing from an agent I had dealt with for 14 years. But the team in the new Hackney branch of Stow Bros are brilliant (friendly, human) and very experienced. They guided me through the renovations of my house (helping me choose the right colour tones, carpet, and kitchen). The cherry on the cake is the quality of tenants they have found for me. I would not hesitate to recommend the team at Stow Bros... especially Lauren, she is an absolute SHINING STAR DL

From initial advice (Eva knows Hackney property and the community so well) to the actual process (Lachlan was tireless in his help getting the sale over the line despite a very frustrating solicitor on the buyer's side). Unethical, deceitful tactics to drive up property prices, no security during viewings

Made an appointment to view a property in Forest Gate (on a Saturday, which seems to be the only day they'll give an appointment) and arrived precisely on time only to be told to wait in a queue. There were 6 groups ahead of us at the time and we waited for half an hour. Not so much as an apology or explanation.The agents didn't even speak to us apart from telling us we could enter. Did not show us around or tell us anything about the property, just chatted with each other in the entry hallway.When asking to book they gave us a specific day and time and told us any other day/time was impossible. There were two groups behind us and by the time we left the queue was completely gone.We found out that they were booking us all in only 10 minutes apart to view a whole house with a big garden, then telling us to take our time once we were in - so deliberately creating a queue, because you cannot view a large property within 10 minutes. One of the groups was in there for at least 20 minutes for example. Furthermore they didn't even ask us if we had a booking - we could've been anyone. If you are a buyer, avoid them. It is very clear that you are the product, rather than the customer. They have no respect for your time and will waste it so they can use you. Instead of telling you why a property is good, their tactic seems to be to try to make you want it by booking you in all at the same time to create a false sense of demand, then pitting you all against each other to drive up the sale price - which will definitely be above market rate to begin with (which I think is another tactic to trick you into thinking that the property is special - we saw very similar properties for 50k less in the same area).If you are a seller, avoid them. They allow absolutely anyone to walk in off of the street and do/take whatever they like in your property, completely unattended and in their own time. They don't even try to sell the property to the viewers. I would be furious if my home was treated this way.We have seen around 45 properties with many agents recently, and have never had such a bad experience, and never any less than a 15 minute slot to view even a small 1 bed apartment.

Lauren was amazing

Lauren - Hackney office - was amazing. Helpful, proactive, and gave useful advice. All very welcome as I had just relocated to the UK. She moved fast so that I could get the property I wanted and move in within a week. She also worked hard to make up for missing staff in her team.
